no this is Anutin at his fnest. Go back to everything he said about covid. Then look at what he has done with the Marijuana rules or lack there of. This is a military government that has for the past few years enacted policies that make no sense without fully thinking them out and providing the necessary structure before. Consider that they have left Pattaya out of this. Why? it has one of the most highly populated bars and drinking tourism spots in the country. Again the military is trying to do everything it can to improve the way it looks to the Thai people although I am not sure how keeping Cowboy and nana open is going to make Thai people happy. BTW yes I know that the PTP is the PM but it is the military that is propping them up and pulling the strings.

American woman sexually assaulted in Bangkok
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
The questions just keep coming did he admit they had sex? Did he admit that she said no. No, no one is condoning rape. It is just that her level of brain power comes into question when she allows a man she does not really know to stay at her apartment He must have his own place and if he needs transport that is his problem and a flag that this is definitely the wrong guy. -
Chinese tourists are returning - but not to Thailand
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You missed nothing I wasted 5 minutes reading it. The complaint is that the lower-class Thai tourist is not coming here. That I think, has nothing to do with Kidney harvesting or people in high-end malls getting shot. It is more to do with the fact that China is having a lot of financial issues and people do not have the money to spend on a box tour. -
Anutin Spearheads National Anti-Mafia Crackdown

This makes sense. Have teh guy who legalized Marijuana and ran the covid system in charge of the country. Who said the military was not running the country. -
Is organic farming the solution to Thai school lunch crisis?
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I agree. You could give most of the cooks in the school's filet mignon fresh food fresh salmon and they would still crew it up by adding all the crap to it to make it. Personally I think n the country this is a great idea. In some schools, you could actually use it to teach students about growing things instead of just a textbook. As for the cities, it may not work. Part of the challenge is that the kids like this crap. Take a look at the stalls outside the schools and what they are selling. Take a look at the crap that the school store sells. There needs to be a mindset change. You need to not only supply the food but teach people how to prepare and serve it so that the kids will buy it. -
New minimum wages to come into force by New Year
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
100 a day might help Somchai The big question, though is what are the prices of the things he needs going to do. remember that out of that 100 a day, he will pay the government probably close to 25 baht. Then there will be a raise in the cost of items. If the government raises the wages of all government employees someone is going to have to pay tht AGAIN SAY HELLO SOMCHAI. the challenge is not the pay raise it is the way that this group of monkeys are spending money. Almost reminds me of giving a kid a credit card with no limit and letting him/her loose in Paragon. -
Other provinces demand extended nightlife hours too
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Actually, no booze sales after two will make the bars more money. The last cal will be at 1 and people will order 2 or 3 beers and lady drinks. Then some of the staff can be sent home. I still do not see a lot of these bars making any more money. They might until the new year but then wages are going to increase, more staff are going to be needed. Utilities wil have to be paid and there is only so much money that tourists or Farang have to spend. Right now NANA starts to get busy around 9-10 at night. does anyone see these people staying at a bar for 7 hours? Nightclubs with dance floors may do OK and bar girls in NANA Plaza might do OK because it is easier to convince a drunk the later the night goes and they should be able to do 3 short times. The short-time hotels might do okay also again the BG will be doing more short time. As a side question what is the Bangkok transit like at 4 will these girls be able to get home without spending huge amounts for taxis -
Yes they could have pushed Prayut Prawit or Anutin. The Senate has that ability however in the general assembly a vote of nonconfidence against the government, and PM is only voted on in the assembly the Senate has no power over that vote. So yes Prawit could have been put in as PM. Then the first time he tries to pass anything in the house the MFP and PTP vote no confidence and defeat a budgetary bill and it's all over and back to the election trail.

The senate/military/Elite had a HUGE problem. All their main parties got slammed and became useless and unable to form a government directly. even if the 3 major parties joined as they did before it wold still have been a short life. With protests all over the country. The MFP were easy to get rid of. They made he mistake of only nominating 1 person. The Phue Thai on the other hand had 3 nominees. One of which was a Thaksin who had been touted as the next PM before the election. The Elite realized that while they could not officially run the government and have their man as PM they could run the country through the PheiU Thai. However part of the deal was that a Shin family member could not run for PM in exchange they would allow Thaksin back into the country in a sweetheart deal. Make no mistake the Pheu Thai are only in power as long as the military wants them. All it would take is to upset the military elite and they decide to leave the coalition and it is all over. Sretha was the only person that fit the plan that all involved could stomach.

That is easy. The reason for this change is because of 10K per person and all the other promises and toys that the governments keep buying and giving. Consider that Thailand subsidizes or pays Oil and gas sold regulates the prices of many items sold 10K per person money to people coming back from israel Submarines that never seem to be around bts/mrt fares SRT at a loss All the government employees BMA Thai Airways AOT China Belt Road Plan and there is probably more. Most of the rich Thais have outside investments and are buying/stashing money outside of the country. Why do you think Thais buy British football teams?

I always thik it is better to get a copy of the bill in advance. Yes there may be minor changes but at least then you know what you are going to spend and what you can save.
