I take you have drunk the Kool aid.the only way he comes back is if he gets a full pardon or they change to a slap on the wrist. He has sung this song before. If it is so good why is sister not coming back. Remember it was him getting a passport that caused part of yinglucks downfall. Also remember that yes they have won elections but have they ever served the full term

The only scandal here is in the smallest minded Thai's that can not realize that people do have emotions and wat to share them. This is all part of that hypocrital Thai culture that says. There is no prostitution but promotes bars bar girls soapy massage. It is also the same culture that says mistreatment of women is bad but glorifies it on the soaps. Making out on the BTS or in the mall may be overboard but a kiss is a kiss. If I want to kiss my gf what business is it of some old biddy that either isn't getting any and is jealous

In many cases, it is the woman's choice. My GF gets pissed if I leave a seat for her and tell her I will stand. She says I am older I qualify for the special seat lol and therefore need the seat more than her. Tried discussing but by the time she understand the seat is taken. most times the woman will sit that I have seen and the man will stand I think it is more of an o ld cultural thing not sure GF will not tell me

The challenge is that like most SE Asian countries the main tourists that they catered and built their models around were backpackers and single males or couples looking to party. Now with this new generation, we are looking at families travelling. Let's face it there really is nothing in Bkk for kids or young people. Just as there is nothing for older couples that want a nice night out having a couple of drinks and dancing or such. Wherever they build the casino is going to get a boost but they also need to add entertainment to the list. Yes the indian market seems strong and the Chinese are coming back but again they do not spend the large amounts of money. The big money for 5 star hotels is with the families. Single guys and couples just look for a cheap bed with maybe breakfast.

Thai shops preparing for new rules
kingstonkid replied to kingstonkid's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I think the basic rules have been written. Also most of the people with money have connection s and can find out what the MFP and PT are thinking -
Just reading that Thailand is looking to become part of the BRICS currency. Does anyone have any idea abut how much that will affect tourism.

They exist because customers keep going back. Nothing is surprising about it. The normal person that goes has a good time buys a few drinks, and leaves either with or without company for the night. 2k for a night at a bar is nothing really roughly 55 USD Hate to say this but have to wonder if the fact that he was Russian had anything to do with it.

Hi I know this is probably the wrong place for this but not sure where it should be. Was thinking of going to Vietnam for a holiday with GF. Being a boomer the Vietnam war was big and wanted to actually go to some of the sites. I realize that going I will get the Vietnamese version. Also wanted to do the tourist thing. Wondering if anyone else here has done this trip or vacation and have suggestions.

It seems that some of the bigger stores are getting ready for the possible new rules. Wonderland in NANA is the best example. They have renovated so that they now have a drop-in center that probably will be giving prescriptions for people that want to buy from them. Right now there is a big banner in front of the office. Going to be interesting no whatever the outcome is to see how many of these places stay in business.

I think stormy might be mild Thinking more tsunami or Hurricane. First, if the MFP gets denied they are going to be screaming. I also have trouble thinking that the senate will vote in a Thaksin as PM. So imagine if those 2 organizations' backers get together even if it is in opposite areas of BKK or cities how much trouble that will raise.

The future of masking -- will it ever end?
kingstonkid replied to ultramarine's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Thai's were wearing masks long before covid cold flu air quality. They will wear them a long time -
He does not care about grandchildren he just wants to get back into the game. He is losing control of the PT and the people in the north and wants to get it back so that he can gain more power. Think about it he can fly wherever he wants go wherever he wants and do almost anything he wants right now but says he is in a prison? give me a break.

THis and stories like it are why the powers that be are fighting so hard to stop the MFP. The military and the backers of the military have been profiting so much that they are afraid that the skeletons will start showing once a fresh non, committed to them set of eyes starts looking. I think that once MFP officially takes control you are going to see Chuvit have lots of friends and copy cats come out of the woodwork with stories

But just to clarify. I take it ass u me that the Thai shareholders are members of the staff or friends of the accounting firm. If that is the case could they not eventually take over the properties as they would have the majority of the shares. The bigger issue is how much is this going to screw things up in the future for others that want to start a real business
