Best ways to pull yourself out of a slump?
kingstonkid replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The fixation with jack suggests that you have a jack problem. You don't say where you live but just getting out for a coffee. Taking a class any class. Dating not bar dating with someone who can have an intelligent conversation -
I use that also and work thru obs fory zoom meeting I had trouble with a wired mic switched to headphone mic combo problem solved. Wireless or wired is not the issue

You do not have to be an inmate to know there is enough on the web to tell what it is like. As well as comments on here . The bottom line is that Thai prisons are not meant to be the social cub they re in western countries. We all know that if you get caught with drugs it is not going to be a wonderful experience. I find that he probably embellished the facts. I m sure that the food was not to his level or standards if he didn't wnt to eat it tht is his problem.

Everyone in the world knows that SEAsian prisons just like south American prisons are hell holes. These countries do not look at rehabilitation it is punishment. We also know that embassies can do little If you are famous or have famous parents it means nothing unless you are Thai No sympathy you do the crime you do the time

Thai Police Prepare for PM Election Day Protests
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The challenge to that all is first of all will Thaksin go along wth it. The fact that MFP has a huge number of members in parliament. It will be very hard for the military to get anything through because Thaksin is not gong to want to give up any power from his party and MFP is too strong along with the protestors and other groups. I m not sure that MFP expected to win so many seats they seemed unprepared. But being the loyal opposition will give them a chance to learn I think the original plan was to be shadow government to PT and then take the next election Let's face it Pita did not seem ready -
Thai Police Prepare for PM Election Day Protests
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Pita was listed as the leader of the party therefore when people voted for that party they voted for him. Just the same as pt votes for a thaksin government or the different military parties have their leaders. This idea that a vote for pm is BS in A TRUE democracy once the election is held the new party takes over and there is no need for a vote. The military and certain rich people want to rig this so that they keep control. Putting anutin in power would mean that in a year or 6 months there would be another election -

Thai Police Prepare for PM Election Day Protests
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think people should probably stay home Friday I think BTS is going to be a mess. Chidlom siam national will be closed along with traffic around mbk and chidlom area. Victory could also be sketchy remember this is the rubber duck crew not the old folks. Hope they put anutin or prawit as pm.with minority government. Think though that Mr t has probably greased the skids -

Bangkok’s Green Line railway debt passed onto incoming government
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The challenge is that when the extensions were being opened, Prayut said to en it but not charge extra. That means that it costs the same to go from Mor Chit to Siam as it does to go from Khu Kot to Siam. The government said they would pay for the infrastructure and reneged. Courts have agreed. Now it is time from someone to pen their wallets. The problem is that BMA does not get enough tax dollars to do this and other projects and the previous BMA kicked it down the road. The new Governor said hey we agree but have o money and after all it was you Prayut that authorized the extensions. You guys should pay for it. While the media complains that the cost is too high ridership keeps rising so the price can nat be too bad. 45 Baht from Siam Paragon to Khukot is still the cheapest fair in town. -
Bangkok school security guard rapes 14 year old student
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Key word is alleged. Let's face hell hath no fury than a Thai girl lady that doesn't get what they want. I am sorry but no rape kit no bruises just her word. This guy is not afraid of the legal system he is afraid of the Thai community -
Unfortunately too many people venture out onto wood balconies. Every house I have lived in here has a little balcony off the bedroom but I have never gone out on it. Also as we are speculating about blood alcohol. There is always the possiblity of drugs in system. What does marijuana do to a UK policy

Bangkok school security guard rapes 14 year old student
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
But nothing happened at the school besides the guard offering her a ride home which he has repeatedly done. Again the issue is not if it is right or wrong. The teacher is making the school look bad. Again there is also the issue that many Thai girls want things and are, in some cases, not above blackmail. I am not saying it was not rape but I think we need to see the whole picture. As to him hiding Let's face it Thai culture says condemn and punishment by the people even if they think you did it. -
Bangkok school security guard rapes 14 year old student

Rape, sexual assault, teachers hitting students, students hitting teachers, students coming on to teachers. These things happen but are kept quiet because schools want to maintain face and be known as a place where this happens at. It is a sick way of thinking, but when we start to realize that schools are not here to educate but to make people rich and are a business much the same as 7/11 or a massage spa it starts to make sense. -
Being Single VS Marrying a Thai Lady
kingstonkid replied to Danderman123's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Is this not true about any society? Why do people marry at all in that case? I think the thing here is being able to come home share your life story and not have to worry about things. If you have gf you are always wining and dining. Worried that she is going to rip you off when you take her home? It is nice to not have to go out hunting in the forest and have your meal ready for you and avail at night without worrying bout bar fine or is she is going to be one that you can not get rid of. -
Hey Why are you picking on the poor driver? Ge s only trying to make a living and wants to make sure that Farang and other tourists have an interesting and memorable time while they are in Phuket. Probably the Farang wanted to get out and go into his hotel without giving the driver a tip. HOW UNKIND The driver should be awarded and lauded for his enthusiasm to show the people in his van an exciting time. ????

The challenge is not at the expert level it is at the GP level. One thing that is not mentioned is that there is a reason that BNH and high-level hospitals pay more. all one has to do is look at the qualifications of the doctors that work there and their ability to converse effectively in English. Also a great number of these doctors all work at government hospitals on a limited basis. The bottom line is that they need to hire more doctors that know what they are doing. Possibly open more hospitals although with the pop decreasing that may work itself out. Yes, people wait a long time in the hospitals but have you ever read about emergency rooms in CDN US hospitals the wait is just as long. 50k is not a bd price although I think that the hours could be cut down. to maybe give them a couple of days a week off.

I think the brown envelopes got to the people responsible. The issue is that there is a new set of sheriffs in town and BIG JOKE does not like brown envelopes or people that do not do their jobs. Als is not that area high in Chinese involvement? I think that the hi so areas are finally getting hit and the people that are running them are realizing the new world. Remember this is no longer a military state woith MFP there is a definite anti-corruption bent.

Rooftop Bars in Bangkok ? Let's take a look .
kingstonkid replied to Social Media's topic in Bangkok
They are all nice, and the views are about the same. The only thing is that there really is not a great atmosphere unless you just want to talk. What would set one apart is a roof top bar with NON-EDM music and dancing. I find that the roof top bars are just an expensive places to get a high-priced beer or drink I would rather a roof top restaurant with a view.
