  1. Who needs Barnum and Bailey or rinling brother. Thailand has it's own circus with lots of clowns
  2. This May seem harsh but can he not get a temp passport or fly down to bkk and get the new one.
  3. I think you have just said it but in a different way. You need to explain that you would like to have dinner again or go to a movie but right now you are not looking for a girlfriend at this time. Her competitive juices will start and though she will hear and understand she is still going to give you the BF treatment so that she can change your mind. As stated at the 30 and above they are looking for marriage or to settle down. They are also 1 man women and will at thot point put everything into making you feel that they are your 1 woman. Enjoy it and if it gets too clingy just keep reminding them or break it off. The other way to let them know you are no longer interested is block them on line.
  4. This has very little to do with Ukrainians.. This is a president that forgets where he is going, forgets names, and like his VP is a gaffe machine. He has actually done very little to help the people in the country that he is supposed to be president of. California is a joke immigration is a just walk in and we will give you more than we give the people that live here and pay taxes. The scary thing is that he actually thinks that he just has to sit in the chair and do what people tell him and he will be re-elected. Biden never had a new idea in his life. How does a career politician make enough money to live the lifestyle that he does? Again Americans are going to get a chance to vote in 2024 it will be interesting to see if he is still on the ticket come november. If so people are going to get the choice of Biden/Harris or Trump/? again and it will be interesting to see what they do.
  5. Believe it or not the constitution lays out that the senate will be formed by representatives elected from each Changwat. As to the right to participate in the election of the PM that would take an amendment to the constitution which with the PT and MFP majority should not be difficult.
  6. The challenges that MFP has as has been discussed are more about the changes to the rules of business taxes and the gravy train that the rich in Thailand live off of. If MFP were going to leave the rich getting richer and not change any of the rules I think a deal could have been done. Abolishing the draft is not popular because it keeps the poor in check. While PT are not obviously pro-military they are pro-cronyism and if allowed will leave the rich alone as well as leave the lese majese alone although I am not 100% sure that they can not see some light for a few of the red shirts in amending 112. The biggest mistake that the PT can make of have thrown on thim is the support for Sretha as PM by the military parties. This could lead to people painting them with a we like the military way of things brush.
  7. Going to be interesting to see who is appointed as the new senate takes effect in May. PT and MFP will be selecting them as it stands right now
  8. Under normal (for Thailand) circumstances I would agree. But the army and military have a strong aversion to Thaksin and has destroyed the PT every time it was elected. Even though it is obvious that eh people will not support a coup they still are I am sure thinking of this as the long run solution. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of absences and abstentions for any PT member. The powers that be are still trying to hold onto power It is funny that there is one person that could help resolve this but he is being silent.
  9. Hi, gang have a few bags that I use but the wheels are worn down. Does anyone know where in BKK i can get them repaired?
  10. Stoner. You can always respect the position and not the person in the position. While serving in military I saluted a lot of officers that I did not respect and served a few prime ministers I thought were idiots.
  11. Actually I think the result might be different in that the whole thing about 112 can be debated. But more importantly by the time a new election can be set up and new vote for pm held there may not be a Senate to vote. Remember that these clowns cease to exist as senators in may. A caretaker government would have a lot of difficulty selecting a new one. I also think that people may open their eyes. Yes I am being optimistic.
  12. Not really any coalition must include either PT or MFp and them joining with a military party is suicide. Best solution is to throw out the election and redo it
  13. I think we can respect the crown in any country. Unfortunately people didn't read what they want to do just listened to the military babble
  14. It won't but it is the perfect solution to the end of military rule. If that happens then it will be all hell let loose pt and MFp supporter in the streets. First chance they have no confidence motion and back to elections
  15. EX GF grandmother loved 2 things and could never get enough Chang beer and betel leaves if she was not drinking she was chewing LOL
  16. MFP can not drop the 112 legislation If they do they might as well dissolve the party. The people that elected them did so primarily on the 112 article. Given a choice of dropping Art 112 legislation or losing the better move in the long run is to lose. Let the people that do take over deal with it and the protests and people.
  17. Moving MFP from the coalition would be the best thing that could happen to MFP. They would then be the official opposition and would be able to then make life complete hell for the government. Remember that the only way that PT can form a government is with a coalition. Take away MFP, and the PT is left making deals with Prawit and Anutin. That would make them, by default a military backing party. Not a good idea in this day and age. also, the people will start to remember all those great promises that PT made and start looking for the 10k baht as well as guaranteed wages for BA holders. PT would also have to deal with all the protestors and would be very carefully watched to see who they put in as senators next spring. This may in fact be a case of be careful what you wish for you might just get it.
  18. No, but I think you will see a ramp-up of protests and people going after the senators that did not vote. The stupid thing is that those who abstained think it was a smart move that says they did not vote.HOWEVER, abstaining is the same as a no vote in that it did not move the needle for Pita Here is a thought if a person abstains, that is, one less vote needed consider that of those that were there and voted he had enough yes votes.
  19. I think you better look again AlJazeera, BBC and CNN are reporting. That sort of covers the whole world. Do people in other countries care not in most cases but there is a strong democracy move on the left that wants to see a more free Thailand
  20. the challenge that Thaiand faces is not a coup because most of the people both MFP and PT supporters know that song and dance too well and have stopped drining the military will save us Kool-Aid. The only way out of this is a. put MFP in power as the people want b. put PT in power and let The man in Dubai run things again c. have either Anutin or Prawit for a government. d. go with no government Of the 4 choices I think the best one for the country would be A Next would be C. C because the only way to resolve this that the people will stop protesting is to put in a minority government to act as a caretaker. then VOTE NO CONFIDENCE and have a brand new election. The requirement is that all parties submit their nominations for PM to the EC and they be vetted and approved or denied prior to the election. MFP art 112 This is a joke and a non starter. Also stopping Joe Shmo from eavesdropping on a conversation in a coffee shop and charging the person sitting beside him of Lese Majeste is a good thing. What the Senate and backers of the military are forgetting along with MSM is that even if Pita and MFP run the government ANY LEGISLATION OR AMENDMENTS to the constitution have o be voted on by the House and Senate. In order to pass an amendment to the new constitution a.a new rule on constitutional amendment, requiring a vote of merely three-fifths of the members of the combined two chambers of b. a referendum to the people must also happen. the articles in question are not guaranteed to be changed by MFP. The bottom line is that young people and Big City dwellers are not going to want a Military government
  21. Felton that is fallacy imagine how many battleship they would need for every idiot American. Embassies were never created to deal with people that end up in jail other than to make sure they are being treated fairly and their family back home is notified. Embassies were created so that countries had representative that can discuss political or trade issues. Military attaches are there primarily to discuss the difference in military style
  22. No because any mass casualty this weekend will be civilian and under rtp control
