  1. I don't think the posters here are giving this matter a fair shake. "Boss" will be tried and prosecuted at the same time as "Ferrari Joe". You guys must trust the process ????????
  2. Another low cost option is Surfshark. I have been using this VPN for over two years without any problems and recently renewed for two years....I was offered a renewal for 24 months at $1.99 per month but the website now shows 24 months for $2.30 per month. Unlimited devices and multiple worldwide connection locations to choose from. They do offer a 7-day free trial.
  3. ubonjoe, I scanned the QR code on the pink slip copy and it only listed two hospitals in CM that (assuming) were the only two that you wouldn't have to pay when presenting the pink slip copy. I went to Nakornping Hospital in Mae Rim (wife said it was closest from our Hang Dong location). Had the test done on Thursday around 11am and received an email the next day "Your COVID test has been reported, please download the result from attach file. Thank you. NAKORNPING HOSPITAL" Just a heads up if the OP goes there. They close at 3pm and close for lunch at 12 - 1pm. Look for the "Test and Go" sign....it's next to the ground floor staff parking.
  4. Not disagreeing with your post, and agreed the enter/exit Thailand with a Aussie pp is the easiest. The OP said his wife has an expired Thai pp which could be renewed. All I was pointing out was the names in both passports needs to match if they ever intended to use both passports to depart Aus, enter Thailand, and return to Aus. My wife had to do the same for her US and Thai pp's. Another tidbit, if the married license was from Aus, the license will have to be transcribed into Thai (and it must match EXACTLY or it will be rejected) before the Thai pp can be changed to reflect her married name.
  5. FYI, if he intends for his wife to fly out on an Aussie pp and enter Thailand on her Thai pp, her name must match in both passports. Meaning, can't have her Thai pp with her Thai maiden name and the Aussie pp have her married name. If the intent is a 6 week stay then return to Australia, then getting an Aussie pp seems to be an easier path... IMO anyway
  6. Arrived 14 Jan....handed out by the flight attendants on Korean Air.
  7. I saved a screen shot immediately after verifying the report was filed.
  8. Assuming you recently entered the country and was given a RT-PCR test at the SHA+ hotel (i.e. one day quarantine). Did you get the pink copy when processing through BKK? If so, it indicates (and I was told as much at the hotel) that I should take the pink copy to a designated testing place (scan the QR code on the pink form) and it will have a list of authorized hospitals in the area you will be need to get the second RT-PCR test. The pink copy indicates "...day 5-6 after arrival at designated lab centers". I was also told the test is free as long as you take the pink slip to a designated lab. As far as reporting it, did you download the Morchana app? Honestly, I can't provide an answer regarding the reporting of the second test....I'm hoping the hospital in my area will know. Good luck
  9. This post is mainly to visitors/expats staying with your wife/partner/family since the TM-30 is supposed to be submitted by them. I/we had previously created an account for my wife (the house owner) a few years ago. If they don't have an account, one will need to be created. The website, https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline, click on the "TM30" icon and the page will open. NOTE: In my experience, you will need to disconnect your VPN if it's connected in order to access this link. Once logged in, I selected "translate to English" or whatever the popup window indicated. It was fairly self explanatory filling in the required information. When I click the "Save" button, a popup window indicated something need to be corrected (it wasn't obvious what was wrong). I reentered all the required information a few times but still got the same error (honestly, I don't know what the system was wanting me to correct). Out of curiosity, I tried again but selected "Thai" vice "English". The required field descriptions are in both Thai and English. I entered the same information (in English), click the "Save" button, and the entry was successful. I'm not sure if something is/was broken when selecting "Translate to English", or I was lucky, or the planets aligned when I hit the Save button. But I did confirm by using the "Search" criteria....and the entry was listed. Another Note....I seem to recall having a similar issues doing this a few years but wasn't sure if it was the TM-30 or another online submission. Meaning, I would suggest not clicking the "Translate to English". Also, pay attention to what browser is compatible "ระบบการบันทึกข้อมูลรับแจ้งที่พักอาศัย รองรับเฉพาะ Web Browser IE8-11 และ Chrome เท่านั้น (Support with IE (8-11) and Chrome only) Good luck to all
  10. The website said "48 hrs" but I'm guessing they are referring if someone looked up the flight with your name. They sent me an itinerary, I printed it....it had my return from BKK to Atlanta....just like you would get from any airline reservation. Fortunately, I was never asked for proof of onward travel but rather "when are you returning".
  11. it was both a mouth (mostly the back of the tongue) and nostril swab. She didn't go that deep but it's never pleasant.
  12. Similar for my situation. I arrived around midnight, tested at 3am, got a call from the front desk at 10am informing me I was negative. They also provided me a letter with type of test, who administered the RT-PCR, name of the doctor and nurse, etc.
  13. Understand...and not intended to imply otherwise. I was passing on my experience. If in a need for immediate "onward travel approval", then my suggestion would apply. I'm guessing all the "onward" confirmation websites provide the same service....just depends on how soon you need it.
  14. Not an indorsement but onward "dot" ticket is also $12 and you get an email in a few minutes. Other websites offers similar services but the email confirmation is 24 hrs +.
  15. just used a Capital One at a 7-11 without issue....arrived one day ago. Also charged an extra day at my hotel...no issues.
  16. I could not download from the US. When I first got to the hotel, I downloaded without a problem.
  17. This is my experience...Departed 13 Jan 22 out of Charlotte, NC to Atlanta, GA to Incheon, Korea arriving 14 Jan 22, then to Bangkok, arriving approx 11pm. I had a Thai Pass and Test & Go, along with a Non-O visa (eVisa). First - seem obvious but....have printed copies of any and all of your documents at the beginning of you first flight. (NOTE: this is not a rant against airline gate agents but I wanted to express the confusion over constant changes to the "what is required". I checked in at Charlotte....Delta agent asked for certain documents but not all (passport, Thai Pass, RT-PCR test results within 72 hrs, and Covid insurance. She didn't want to see my Non-O eVisa but only asked what was my return date (not a flight number) although I did have a return flight from onward ticket dot com. She didn't have a problem with my documents so I was cleared. In Atlanta, the Delta gate agent made an announcement that if you didn't have a blue (staying in Korea) or brown (transiting through Korea), then you needed to bring all paperwork to the counter for verification. The lady that checked my paperwork said the "requirements" were determined by Korean immigrations, and they seemed to change daily. At first she announced the RT-PCR test had to be signed or have a stamp with the test administered 72 hrs prior to departure. A few Korean passengers evidently didn't have the right test certificate/paperwork and was told they needed to call the test facility and have them send an email with the proper documentation...and the passenger had to go to another terminal to have it printed. Keep in mind this was less than one hour before boarding. I don't think they made it on the flight because we were delayed because they had to unload some passengers luggage. I was in panic mode because my document, which was sent to me by the lab in North Carolina, did not have a "stamp" nor "signature". However, she seemed to accept what I had and placed a plastic wristband on my wrist. In Korea, those transiting to other countries on Korean Air Lines, were directed to go to the "Transfer Desk" on the fourth floor. They we very helpful and professional assisting the passengers. The lady checked my Thai Pass, covid insurance, RT-PCR test results (she did the math and even asked for my first boarding pass), and reservations from a SHA+ hotel (I would suggest getting the "Hotel Confirmation" directly from the hotel and make sure the check-in date reflects you arrival date regardless if you have a late arrival and won't get to the hotel until after midnight). Also, they did not ask me about onward travel. Another note, one older expat (sounded US) was being questioned about his covid test. It seems he had a document for the antigen test (remember, thai embassy specifically requires RT-PCR test). He also had a document from his doctor saying he had a PCR test and was negative...I'm guessing it wasn't within 72 hours. Bottom line, he wasn't allowed to board the flight. Arrival in Bangkok - it may have been because we arrived late and the crowd was minimal but I managed to depart the plane, get to the first station to check paperwork, proceed to the next station where they inputted your information (not sure what but I just gave the person the document asked for). After I was cleared, I proceeded to the immigration area (passport, TM-6 card, eVisa, address where I would be staying after the one day quarantine), after my visa stamp, picked up my luggage, strolled through customs in the "Nothing to Declare", and, just outside the customs area, made it to the hotel waiting area. I met the hotel rep who directed me to a seating area to await the hotel shuttle driver. From departing the aircraft to being seated to await the hotel driver was approx. 20 minutes. Arrived at the hotel, got checked in a little after midnight, was told to expect a call when my RT-PCR test was available (scheduled for 3 am)....they called at 3am, I went downstairs immediately, got the results at 10am. I schedule to stay another night so not sure what will be the process be for them to schedule my next covid test in 5-6 days. Again, this is for informational purposes. I'll try to answer any questions the readers may have. Good luck to new arrivals
  18. ubonjoe, thanks for the clarity. Seems to be quite a bit of confusion based on newspaper articles, hearsay, and "officials" making a public statement.
  19. Can you get one in just that time limit? Does visa exempt show up on the Thaipass Appas an option? I am pretty sure you will not be allowed to extend for one year, based on marriage, IF you enter on a 30 day (visa exempt) or a Special Tourist Visa (60 days). I tried doing that a few years ago and was told I had to exit Thailand and apply for a Non-O (90 days) visa outside of Thailand, then extend for a one year visa based on marriage during the last 30 days of the Non-O. Ubonjoe (and others) have posted similar responses on this subject.
  20. My flight reservation is mid Jan...I have an approved Non-O visa....departing from the US. I bought my required Covid Insurance ($50k for 90 days) directly from (Thailand) AXA for the duration of my 90 day visa at a cost of $186 (USD). Choosing AXA was a personal decision based on recommendations from this forum and a trusted name brand recognition. Approval only took a few minutes and email received with a memo of insurance coverage. When applying for the Thai Pass, make sure you upload a jpeg file of the required documents. I use an app called CamScanner....I think you only get 3 free documents per day but it's a great app that allows you to save your picture to a pdf or jpeg file and email it to yourself. The app actually enhances the picture before you save it making it very clear. Ok, enough on the Public Service Announcement. - I uploaded my passport info page (note, it only wants the single page of your passport...see the example on this step) - I uploaded my vaccine card. My card does not have a QR code and it was accepted on the first try - I uploaded my "Confirmation Letter" received from my hotel which shows my flight number, arrival date/time, passport number, and the scheduled time of my PCR test. I booked through Agoda; my Agoda confirmation showed airport pickup and a PCR test but, in my opinion, you should request the hotel send you a Confirmation Letter. - The last step allows you to upload "other" documents. Although it doesn't specifically ask for it, I uploaded my approved Non-O eVisa in pdf format. I immediately got an access code to check you status. Soooo, in less that 4 days, I got the approval notification with an attachment of the QR code and other relevant information. It was pretty smooth and easy application process. Good luck to those yet to apply.
  21. Apologize if not the right forum but hopefully my question can be better answered. I arrive BKK from the US with the estimated 2x luggage @ 23kgs plus carry on. I'm relocating to Chiang Mai on a Non-O visa and intend to extend to a one year based on marriage. I will need to book a flight from BKK to Chiang Mai (after my one day quarantine) and looking for suggestions on the best airline which offers options allowing me to check my luggage. I don't mind paying (no choice) but my internet search only found "up to 30 kgs". Also, has anyone ever purchased a second ticket just to get the extra luggage allowance?
  22. My recollection was the jpg format was required when specified. I remember getting a pop up message telling me it must be a jpg format if the uploaded document wasn't a jpg. On other items not specifically calling for jpg, I was able to upload pdf documents.
  23. Kalasin Jo, I don't think you "miss something" as I had the same experience being only able to upload one document. The one requirement does say to upload a letter from your relative or the hotel confirmation but I'm guessing they want both. My logic was the hotel stay is mandatory (at least for one night) so I opted to upload the confirmation. Good luck on getting approved.
  24. Bottom line up front, this is what I experienced and the process I went through. Special thanks to ubonjoe for, as always, providing great answers to this forum. - created an account on https://thaievisa.go.th/ - started the application process around 29 Nov and finished approx. 1 Dec. (I was told I needed to make a confirmed reservation for a one night stay at a SHA+ hotel). - For my flight information, I only entered my flight number into Bangkok...admittedly, I didn't actual book the flight but only got the flight number for the date/time I expected to travel. I didn't see any requirement to upload my itinerary...read below to an email I got from thaivisa.go.th - I uploaded the required documents as best I could understand and follow (according to the question/statement on the e-application). -- One requirement was to upload your hotel reservation during your stay OR a letter from your relative "inviting" you to visit". Since I will be required to stay in a SHA+ hotel, I uploaded my confirmed reservation (for one night...I booked via agoda.com). Read below for an email I got from thaivisa.go.th - I got an email on 5 Dec: (Pls submit the following via email: [email protected] (subject "add docs") 1. copy of flight confirmation) I booked a one way ticket (I intend to extend my Non-O based on marriage for one year so I don't plan on returning via a roundtrip ticket), got the confirmation from the airline, and forward to the email as directed - I got another email on 8 Dec: Can you also provide a support letter in Thai from your spouse? It can be written in Microsoft word or any note, indicating that she is inviting you to Thailand and providing an estimated period of time. Make sure that she signs at the bottom of the document as well. Thank you. Notice the email stated "in Thai". So I had my wife write a simple note (in Thai) inviting me to visit for a specific time period (in my case Jan thru Apr). I sent the note (attached to the email) back to them on early morning on 9 Dec. - On 9 Dec (early evening), I received my approval. Approved Dear (my name) We would like to inform you that your e-Visa application has been approved..... - I actually don't recall but I vaguely remember at the end of the visa application I had an opportunity to "add" documents. I would suggest adding the itinerary confirmation, a letter from you wife/relatives (written in Thai) a short note inviting you to visit....nothing fancy or formal, just a "please come visit your family from Feb through April". Again, this was my experience and wish you all the best of luck.
