I haven't been to Pattaya for at least eight years so I can't speak about the things you see on Lower Sukhumvit, but I don't see that the behaviour of the younger generations today is doing too much different from what you see, be it in Pattaya, Ibiza, Costa Del fish and chips or where ever, they are just at an earlier stage of the cycle.
Sukhumwit is not in Pattaya, Sharpie!

Wow it is real quiet here, nobody is drinking to much?
If someone is drinking to much, then please do not be shy, in many cases it is a life or death matter. In many cases it is a slow death over 10-20 years of misery, suffering and loss. At anytime we can get off the falling elevator, it may seem impossible at times that life can go on without the drink but it is possible.
What the Hell does " to much " mean ?

It is a blessing it closed down. Every time I posted something I got attacked by the same bunch of smug long term goons who dominated it.

God bless Thais
Not going deep talking about how homosexuality came into the lives of human nature but by simply pointing out real facts behind
why would some people do not want to be living normal as it has been historically proven since life was originated as man and woman joint-venture.
Homosexuality is not what it is to be believed else where! but basically Thai homosexuality is professionally approached, it is a choice mostly preferred because
income! funny and extremely understandable I find it. Some like to be gays or ladyboys here simply because NOT of genetically issue as developed world countries still disguise
anyone who even try to state different opinion about it? In Thailand it is a way of living for all mighty dollar which every human must have in order to survive.
Oh Thailand I always get in love with you more every time I open my eyes the next day.
It is really LOS so, please smile before you reply
.
go a head call me a freak but it is up to you

You do not have a visa. You have a one year extension of stay based upon retirement.
If you enter and get a 30 day visa exempt entry you will have 15 days to apply for a 90 day non immigrant visa (category O) entry and pay a 2000 baht fee for it. Not all immigration offices can accept the application and it requires 2 trips15 days apart to immigration to get the visa/entry stamps. You will need to prove your income when you apply.
Then during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry you will be able to apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement.
Yes, it is a retirement visa actually. Any way I re-newed it and didn't leave

Why do people insist on calling it by its real name?
Incredibly stupid question. Because it IS Burma!
And Bombay is Bombay and Calcutta is Calcutta.
Also Thailand is a bullshit name for Sayam.

I don't know what "a OA long stay visa based upon retirement " means. I have a retirement visa that I need to re-new every year like everyone else who has one. No one simply gets " a new one year entry ". I have to go get my proof of bank assets from the U.S. Embassy and then go to Thai Immigration to apply again every year. I was just thinking that if I leave the country a few days before the end that I can just re-enter with the visa-free 30 day permit and then a few weeks later I will go and get a new retirement visa again, so that way I wouldn't need to get a re-entry permit since my year is up.

I assume you have a extension stay based upon retirement you got at an immigration office not a visa.
If you enter the country after it expires you will have to start all over again and will get a 30 day visa exempt entry when you enter the country.
I am here and my and my retirement visa is valid until the 27th of this month.
I was thinking of going to Langkawi ,Malaysia for a few days - a few days before it expires- since I've never been there before.
So then when I come back I won't need a re-entry permit. I am guessing I will just get the 30 days and then just go and re-submit the application for a new retirement visa?

Your playing a semantics game JAG nothing more.. she called for new elections because of the people protesting against her (in result stepping down). She would never have done that had there not been such massive protests against the amnesty of her criminal brother. I see the non completion of her term and early elections as stepping down.
So because Taksin is a criminal then it is alright for the pathetic ignorant masses to support and be taken in by the criminal royalist Yellows?!

Thailand is paralysed and hopeless and will continue to be until freedom of speech and assembly is someday finally legalised.

It's rather hard to imagine that the military junta regime is actually going to let this event happen unimpeded. But perhaps they will because of all the recent international press coverage of their human rights abuses.

Another boy is beaten to death:
