Looks good, might be an alternative to a retirement VISA/extension.

Stay 180 days, extend once (assuming 1,900bht), border hop, rinse and repeat.

    Averaging 3,900bht/year.

Around the same cost as a retirement extension with multi re-entry, but 300kbht less in the bank required.

What's the betting that it won't be as simple as that? If they notice a lot of the retiree's changing to the DTV they will probably make changes that won't be to their advantage.

Of course I am bob.  All married expats married bargirls don't 'cha know?

Just curious - did your 'wife' prostitute herself to marry you.  You know - selling her p**** for financial security?  Just saying...

I have had a very successful 18 year relationship with a University Graduate, 5 years GF then the rest as wife. If I found out now that she sometimes worked in a bar before she met me, it would not bother me at all as I believe that anything that happened before marriage is none of my business.

Who was the winner of that debate?

Depends if you tend to vote for the Tories or for Labour.

However, for me as an ROI citizen it shows that both are not capable to handle the situation with migrants.

However, I saw Starmer to have a bigger view on NHS-problems and poor people's demands.🙏

A multi millionaire "Sir" having any genuine interest in NHS problems and poor peoples demands???? Aye right!

    There's good and bad cops

    enforcing the law seems optional

ok to give them extra money to do their job, my lawyer friend told me that

You don't see them out before 10am or if raining

If you regularly pass any Highway police stations, notice how often you see a patrol car sitting outside.

In my experience it is every time, so why are they not out doing their job?

aha ....  you could have taken a photo of it with your mobile ...  just quicker & easier.

anyway,   once you can do this sequence ...  and you will just know how to do it easily,  you can do this every few weeks just to repair corrupt files and fix issues.   I run the sfc /scannow every week or so.

If I had a printer that would have been best, it would have been a lot harder on my phone and would have lost it eventually.

    did you try   ?

I have just finished writing down everything you have said, I will try it out tomorrow with my laptop unless my desktop cuts out again. I will keep the notes handy for any other time I may need them. Thanks.

it could be a heat issue .....  if it gets too hot windows will shut down automatically.

Do you know how to run a system check  ?

I don't think it's a heat issue, I have AC running nearly all the time. I do not know how to run a system check, I suppose I could take it to my local computer shop.

  9. Twice yesterday and twice today my all in one Acer desktop has just cut off while I was using it, then I can just turn it back on again.

Any ideas what could be causing this? A loose connection maybe? Surely if it was I would not be able to turn it back on again.

Wonderful coastlines within easy reach on North and Irish seas plus English channel. NHS, free bus travel, more economical breakfast cereals, milk and cheese. Hollands pies and proximity to Europe. Plenty of cheap flights to Portugal and Spain for holidays. Depending upon where you live may have a choice of bus and/or rail transport to your nearest airport.

Council tax, excessive road tax and fuel tax. TV license, highly excessive power bills, dreadful weather most of the year, excessive taxes on alcohol and cigarettes, although that doesn't apply to me. Very unsafe to walk at night in the cities. Should I go on?

Great to hear a positive review about the driving habits and skills.

My experience with mini vans has been so bad that I avoid them like the plague.  But that's probably the difference between well run visa runs catering to foreigners (with fixed seating) and a mini van that caters to locals where they pack the van at the origin then stop along the way to pack it even tighter.  The first time I took one (Kanchanaburi to BKK) was so bad I thought it had to be a fluke.  My 2nd trip was the last time I ever set my butt into a kamikaze van.  It was as every bit as bad as the first.  Glad to hear there's a comfortable visa run option.

I have used a minivan to go from upcountry to Bangkok regularly over the years, get picked up and dropped of at my house. Never once have I had a dangerous driver, yet my opinion of Thai drivers is well known on this forum.

I wasn't sure if allowed. It was 1st Class Visa Runs that operate out of Queen Vic on soi 6

My mate told me about it as there's no advertising out front of Queen Vic that I could see and I had to ask bar staff. She has a desk in the back corner

I used to use this company regularly at one time, great service, but they seem to have gone a bit overboard with their prices. Before the Chinese virus I did not pay much more than 2000Bt.
