  1. Constipation will easily add a kg or more to your weight. Suggest you take stewed prunes or prune juice daily (the actual fruit tastes better). In addition to Vit C, selenium supplement is helpful after thyroidectomy. .Adequate levels of selenium are needed for the conversion of T3 to T4.
  2. Pencor = doxazosin
  3. Not on the website, I just know he is affiliated with the Center.
  4. Cardiac Center of Chulalongkorn Hospital http://www.chulacardiaccenter.org/en/about-us Cardiology, Physiology and Cardiac Laboratory Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 16.00 hrs. Bhumisirimangalanusorn Building, 4th Floor, Zone D Try if possible to see Dr. Nithi Tokavanich there. I am not sure if possible through the after hours clinic or not given that it is a specialized center.
  5. 1. The calcification is not in arteries. 2. And in any event "The best available evidence does not support the therapeutic use of EDTA chelation therapy in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. " https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1282574/
  6. It was definitely closed (big sign saying so, and entrance sealed off) when I entered on the 30th.
  7. Sometimes they do check.
  8. The separate "Fast Track" entrance is closed, but there is a "Priority Lane" to the far right of the general immigration area (walk past where the lines enter and go in on the far, far right First/Business class over people aged 70 and over can use this
  9. This doctor is a neurologist who specializes in memory and cognition issues https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/ketchai-suavansri
  10. You have been lucky,. I've clocked in 2 hours+. Arrived on Saturday, lines stretched way out into and down the concourse, end could not be seen. From the looks of it 3 hours easy. Luckily I now qualify for the "Priority" lane due to age.
  11. I have done 5 trips in the past year, all of them with checked baggage and all arriving at Suvannabhumi. Never had an excessive wait.
  12. OP = Original Post or Poster o/s = overseas
  13. I suggest Naresuan University Hospital Located in the town of Pitsanoluk within University grounds. Bring a Thai speaker with you the first time at least, the registration procedures can be confusing and everything is in Thai. They don't see many foreigners. Also bring patience and something to read, waist may be long. Possible that the opthalmologist is nto there every day, you'll have to check. I don't know what your problem is, but if anything seriouc or complicated, the best thing is to come to Bangkok and go to Rutnin Eye Hospital. But for routine things Naresuan should be OK.
  14. Radiologist can certainly measure size and compare to prior sizes Of course there are anti-epileptic medications here, many in fact. But it sounds like you do not have seizures? In which case they would not be indicated. The article you site is specific to people with intractable seizures. Meaning epilepsy that cannot be controlled by medication. Not the mild symptoms you mention. Nobody is going to surgically remove a brain calcification for the sort of things you mention (even if they are due to the calcification, which they might not be since these are common phenomena especially as one ages. ) Could you please specify what the actual problem/symptoms are that you are concerned about? Calcifications are found in brain CTs of about one third of older people and usually require no treatment. There are no medications that will cure these calcifications. Rather, medications are used to treat serious symptoms like seizures if present.
  15. I was lucky then, just bought my new one in 2022. Good to know about the resale value though I have no plans to sell anytime soon.....
  16. ??? low TSH and high T4 = hyperthyroid which would cause weight loss, not weight gain
  17. To have a Medicare Advantage Plan you must live at least 6 months of the year not only in the US, but in their coverage area. Giving false info on that can invalidate the policy.
  18. The levothyroxine itself (which I also take) does nto cause weight gain. What will cause weight gain, is being hypothyroid i.e. if your levels are still too low. When you see the doctor be sure to mention the weight gain issue and that it occurred despite strictly limited food intake.
  19. I have gone there a few times. Recommended because good value for money compared to hospitals and the poster I was replying to @FruitPudding specifically asked about value for money, What is shown on the website is in no way indicative of all they offer. They have a huge menu of tests and packages. The recommendation for a stress test as also specific to @FruitPudding who states he is overweight and not very active but no known conditions.
  20. Honda Jazz or City. Jazz is better and a little cheaper.
  21. There have been cases (some few years back, a number of them) where police set up "sting" operations near street vendors and also pharmacies selling without script. This was in Bangkok, Nana area IIRC. It is easy enough to get a script and just keep it in your wallet.
  22. It is normal to get much more frequent colds when you move to a new place, as you will be exposed to new strains/variants that you have not previously encountered. Can take several years before you acquire enough immunity that frequency declines.
  23. N, you cannot use it here. I return to the US for anywhere from 1-3 months every year
  24. To my understanding both sale and purchase/possession without a script is illegal. Though in practice it seems to mainly be the customer who sometimes face consequences. No idea what "Sandboxer" is.
