I am not familiar with the brand and seems like hype/overkill. Also looks rather small in size, do you have it only one tap? Basically you need a sediment filter followed by a carbon filter. Among these 5 units you seem to have both (the PP is a sediment filter, though pleated types are better IMO). Note that these filters need regular cleaning and periodic replacement. This should be lowering the TDS, I am not sure why it is not in your case. However your before and after TDS is already quite good. You'll never reach the low levels of bottled water as those are usually done with reverse osmosis. (It is possible to get home reverse osmosis too but it is quite wasteful of water and I think unnecessary.).

Please explain what you mean by a 5 stage filter.

Ihm just curious: pricing at government hospitals

Pattaya City and Queen Sirikit both have separate higher fee structure for foreigners. So does Siriraj in Bangkok. And Sriphat in Chiang Mai. You will not usually encounter this in Issan or central Thailand. -

On top of that, when you do see doctor it will be a young intern or resident in training; sometimes even a medical student. The after hours clinic gets you directly treated by a senior doctor. -
Eye "Doctor" (Ophthalmologists ) recommendation in Chiang Mai
Sheryl replied to connda's topic in Health and Medicine
Moved to the Health Forum. If you can come to Bangkok you will not find better in Thailand than https://rutnin.com/en/doctor/resume.36.1_Medical_history_0_0.html In CM I would suggest https://www.bangkokhospital-chiangmai.com/en/doctor/dr-choeng-jirawison-m-d/ Who can also probably be seen at Sripat -

Chula is a government hospital. But like most government hospitals it has an after hours clinic where senior doctors can be seen on a private basis. From the OP details sounds like he went through that channel. To access public channel at Chula need to arrive at crack of dawn to get into queue and would take pretty much all day. -
Best solution for enlarged prostate that blocks urinating
Sheryl replied to Steven55's topic in Health and Medicine
Have it done in Bangkok using nerve sparing technique...less risk of incontinence etc afterwards. This doctor and his team: https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Sittiporn-Srinualnad https://www.siphhospital.com/en/medical-services/doctor-biography?id=246 Same doctor, different hospitals. I believe he is also at Medpark Hospital but for some reason their website seems down at the moment. Bumrungrad will cost more but is easier to access both in terms of language, appointment availability and distance from Pattaya. SIPH will cost about 25% less than Bumrungrad but is a longer trip (Thonburi side of the river) and best to have a Thai speaker along. -
Not significant. 75, 81 and 100mg will all serve the purpose.

This is not correct, but there does need to be a grade 1 pharmacist on duty at all times to sell this, and that is rarer than one might think so not all pharmacies carry it. You need a large Thai pharmacy. Definitelytnot a Boots or Watsons and not a small place. You can also purchase online and have it delivered at any of these: https://bangkokdrugstore.com/?s=aspirin https://medtide.com/?post_type=product&s=aspirin (have to register first then log in.) https://bangkokdrugstore.com/?s=aspirin (use the Messenger function, web search does not work)
-
No. Should not self prescribe this. On doctor's advise can help prevent heart atrack or stroke in people with specific risk factors.
-
Do not use the term "baby aspirin" when you ask for this. Jusr ask fot Aspirin 81mg or better yet "aspent" the best known brand name If you want specific pharmacy suggestion please indicate where in Thailand you are

This. Legally, she can't force you out but she can make your life a living hell....or possibly even end it, not unknown here. Give her a divorce and see if you can buy out her 50% share in the house. And most definitely change your will NOW and let her know as soon as -- but not before- - you have done so.

Best solution for enlarged prostate that blocks urinating
Sheryl replied to Steven55's topic in Health and Medicine
Indeed you did not mention this and it changes everything. A shame you did not state this up front as almost all the things suggested so far, do not apply. Treatment for prostate cancer depends on: - the stage - whether slow growing or aggressive - the person's age and overall health We know only one of these things. It is possible he is not in good enough overall health to be a surgical candidate. The suggested suprapubic tube will certainly resolve the peeing issue and if he is not very active, not much reason nto to. Has he expressed a desire to you to avoid this? Has he discussed surgery with his doctor? -
You will not have gotten HIV from oral sex. But HPV is possible. So is gonorrhea. Suggest a trip to the Thai Red Cross Anonymous Clinic for peace of mind and STD testing Thai Red Cross · Anonymous Clinic 104 Ratchadamri Road Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330. Tel. 02-252-2568-9 Located on Rajadamri at the junction of Rajadamri and Sarasin Rds, on the same side of the road as Chulalongkorn. The building looks like a large fat water tower, with red crosses interspersed on the exterior wall. The entrance is clearly marked 'ANONYMOUS CLINIC' in English. Entering, on the right side is a curved large reception desk. Tell them you wish yo have some tests, they will hand you a form to fill out. On the form, you state what test you wish to have by ticking one of many boxes. The very first box reads 'HIV/AIDS'. Another says something like 'All STIs'. Or if you prefer to go private: https://www.pulse-clinic.com/

The (presumably new) aa-world website is not yet functional. Sounds like this is a change planned or in early stages of implementation rather than one completed, which may also be why no notification sent out. The original AA Brokers website is still up and running https://www.aainsure.net/ Have you been told by your agent that they can no longer help you? If so, surely they gave you an alternative contact? If not suggest you suggest call the relevant office and ask who to speak to whoever is handling your account now. Knock on wood I personally do not need to speak to them at this time as no hospitalizations planned (again, knock on wood). My premium comes up for renewal in early August, I usually hear from them around June or July, will see if I do this time and if so, by whom.

New passport and then extension
Sheryl replied to underthesky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes, since your extension of stay is ending just bring both passports to the border. They need to see your most recent entry stamp and last extension of stay when you exit but there is no need for either to be transferred to your new passport since they are already over and done with once you (or your passport via agent) leave. You get a new entry stamp on return. People with ongoing visas (e.g. O-A or ME visa) or with longer extensions of stay they need to keep, should get it transferred to a new passport. Using an agent/border run company probably wise given your history and whatever else you do, do not try to leave or re-enter via Poipet/Aranyaprathet. -
New passport and then extension
Sheryl replied to underthesky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I would not count on immigration at a land border transferring extension of stay stamps etc. Even if they can, you would likely face delays and in soem cases erhaos be told to go to a different location etc. However from your posts above it seems all you have is an entry stamp from a visa exempt entry. In that case there is really no need to transfer anything. Just show both passports on your way out so they can locate the entry stamp. Use new passport on your next entry. -

I would add that in men, while the presence of a BRCA2 mutation increases the risk of prostate and pancreatic cancer (linkage to colon cancer is not clear, studies have been conflicting), it does not do so at anywhere near the magnitude that it increases risk of ovarian and breast cancer in women. And there is no immediate intervention indicated for it, other than to be aware you have it and mention it to your doctors. The results will certainly not diagnose the cause of your abdominal pain. If you are not satisfied with the diagnoses you have received, you need to consult a different doctor. (Taking all test results with you). This doctor in Bangkok has been able to help many when other doctors could not identify the problem. Worth traveling to consult him https://www.bangkokhospital.com/en/doctor/asst-prof-dr-parit-mekaroonkamol https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Parit-Mekaroonkamol (same doctor different hospitals).

Not simple. Likely need a major hospital.

All urologists are surgrons. But that does not mean they always, or even mostly, operate. Chronic prostatitis is common and difficult to manage...anywhere in the world. And not all prostatitis is bacterial in origin. Suggest one of ghe fictors lusted here https://aseannow.com/topic/936921-urologist-recommendations/

90 Day Report Online - How long pending?
Sheryl replied to ubonrthai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I doubt much efficiency is required. They get electronic notification and at most they just click on"accept" or the equivalent. Possibly not even that, might be an opt out notice. What is really bad about the situation in my province is that almost all theforeigners are migrant workers ftom Cambodia and Myanmar working at or below minimum wage. Between the requirement that they attend in person (missing anywhere from a half to full day work and wages depending on where in the province they work) and the 100 baht bribe demanded, they lose a full days wages or more each time. -
90 Day Report Online - How long pending?
Sheryl replied to ubonrthai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No, they go to the local offices. Which is why I can't do them. Mine refuses to accept online and mailed in reports(and not coincidentally demands a bribe to accept them in person).
