  1. Currently 18k for full in-hospital study at Bangkok Hospital https://www.bangkokinternationalhospital.com/packages-promotions/sleep-lab-package I have no idea what they cost in the US
  2. That site lists only imported brands. There are locally made brands that cost substantially less. I doubt local brands would be more than your gabapentin. KKU would have them and so might Medisafe.
  3. Use of addtionsl drugs, such as tricylics or venlafaxine might allow a lower dose of gabapentin with same of better results. And/or pregbalin might give more Relief. Some stidies have shown itis more effective than gabapentin in conyrolling pain of fiabetic neuropathy. There are down sides to taking gabapentin especially in such large dose. Inclufind tremor, increased bone loss with risk of fracture, visual problems and psychiatric conditions. Obviously when in severe pain, pain control comes first but if it were possible to get equivslalent psin control on lower dose of gaba or on another drug it would be better. I continue to suggest you see psin management specialist at KKU.
  4. From the OP it has alerady been 20 years
  5. To be clear -- this was a multi-parametric scan or regular MRI? I would be very surprised if Bkk Hospital Korat had the machine for a multi-parametric MRI, only a handful of places in Bkk do. And it would certainly have cost more. Suspect you had a regular MRI.
  6. If you look on Shoppee there are a number of suppliers listed But my experience with health products in general here is that there is a considerable time lag between product debut and being available in Thailand
  7. Vitamins are considered pharmaceuticals here. Suggest " nutrition supplement for personal use". Make sure it comes regular mail not courier.
  8. Any travel assistance company cam only issue a GOP or other assurrance only after approval from the relevant insurance company. I doubt they fo this solely for WRLife clients.
  9. Will not have been anyone with much experience (if any) in it - as mentioned it is rare in Thais. So the diagnosis and need for treatment is open to doubt. If recent colonoscopy finds no sign of UC you can probably exclude it. But discuss with doctor.
  10. No, not the settings. And local shop beyond useless. As I could nto find solution I switched from Messenger Lite to Messenger app then deleted Messenger Lite. Seems to work better. I can only assume there is some incompatibility between Samsung A33 and Messenger Lite. Odd as I had no problem at all on prior Samsung phones. (J7, A3 - all fine)
  11. OP is unlikely to come off it. Diabetic neuropathy is a long tetm condition Ditto the lady with post polio syndrome that I bought it for.
  12. The Albemed is albendaxole and treats several types of worms. However these do not usually cause diarrhea. Parasites that commonly cause diarrhea include things like giardia...but the treatment (flagyl) Is difficult to tolerate (nausea etc) so not a great idea to treat for it without a positive stool test. Bioflor might help, can't hurt. I have no idea why nexium. Who diagnosed your UC, on what basis and when?
  13. Off-topic, trolling and in some cases flaming posts have been removed along with replies to them. Thread is closed.
  14. I think he does nto know, only that he contacted AIS and the hospital somehow got paid. So far no one with this insurance has been able to say who actually underwrites the policy or who pays out under it. In fact I don't think we have ever seen any policy documents described, at least policy documents of the type insurers normally provide. Which is why I said previously "or name for multiple policies, perhaps with different insurers". Because it is totally unclear how this scheme actually operates. Only that so far, people with it have gotten their hospitalizations somehow reimbursed.
  15. Wait and ask the doctor. Possible that you misunderstood him and he just meant no other new problem was seen, nto that no sign of UC was seen. (But if really no sign of UC then you really need to consult the Bkk Dr I mentioned). Nexium is not a probiotic. It is a PPI which decreases acidity in the stomach. Won't do anything for diarrhea and I am not sure why prescribed unless GP was concerned that the parasite medication would irritate lining of the stomach. Exactly what parasite medication where you given?
  16. Is that reply from Medsafe or Meditide? You should certainly not send Medsafe messages about their competitor. They are touchy enough as it is. Nothing at all wrong with Medtide or their products, go ahead and order from them. Did Medsafe they tell you what brand this was at 100 tabs of 990 baht? And what brand do you get locally? Price differences this wide must reflect different brands Re the selling only 2 boxes, I had issues with them in the past ordering large quantities as they accused me, in effect, of being a reseller (which I most definitely am not!) With some persistance I was finally able to get the large order through (a year's supply of several meds). Of course in your case with the Gabapentin, you are on a larger dose than most people so they might think 2 boxes was already a many months supply. If you have a copy of doctor's note saying dose of 3,600 mg it may help.
  17. This is a general function of a travel assistance provider and not limited to any specific type of insurance. There are several similiar companies who will do the same thing once provided with the insurance details. It this does not tell you where the WRLife insurance policy comes from/who issues and underwrites it. It is most unusual that WRLife documents give the name of a travel assistance company as if it were their own name (ref the document you provided on how to make a claim). The normal process would be to list the actual insurer details. Clients who want to, can then use a travel assistance company if desired.
  18. This lists the company Assist International Services, which is neither an insurer nor a broker but a "travel assistance service provider" . It is unclear if Assist International is simply serving as a management agent/claims facilitator of WRLife Insurance or if WRLife insurance is a policy (or name for multiple policies, perhaps with different insurers) that Assist International somehow sells despite being neither a licensed insurance broker nor an insurance company.
  19. As far as I and others have been able to determine, WRLife Thailand is nto registered with the Thailand OIC, at least not under that name.
  20. You need to verify with the Sripgat specialust: did endoscopy show no sign of ulcerative colitis? If so you need to see a UC specialist as may have bern misdiagnosed. Salofalk can cause severe diarrhea as a dide effect so if that dose change preceded the problem -- or the problem got worse after dose increased - this could be the culprit.
  21. Should have led with that, as UC flare up could be the culprit. Though I am puzzled by your statement that the colonoscopy "found nothing wrong" -- UC should be evident on colonscopy and if it was not then that diagnosis may be in question. UC is very rare in Thais so few doctors here have much expertise in treating it. Unfortunately I do not know of a single one in Chiang Mai. In Bangkok, this doctor seems the most experienced: Assoc.Prof. Sathaporn Manatsathit https://zeekdoc.com/en/doctor/assoc-prof-sathaporn-manatsathit-252?clinic_id=98 can be seen at https://www.vichaiyut.com/en/profile_doctor/dr-sathaporn-manatsathit/ or https://chaophrayahospital.com/?doctors=sathaporn-manatsathit-md or Siriraj Hospital - he is nto listed on their private wing web site but you could call and ask https://www.siphhospital.com/en You should definitely consult him (especially given what is now doubt re accuracy of your UC diagnosis) but I can appreciate right now would be difficult with the uncontrolled diarrhea. in the interim best option in CM appears to be: https://sriphat.med.cmu.ac.th/en/doctor/detail/63 Who is there tomorrow By the way, what medications are you on and have there been any recent changes i nthese (drug or dose)?
  22. They are indeed touchy, I have had issues with them like this as well. Best to never question a price. Just thank them for info and place order if desired. Though it may be worth verifying brand name and quantity first. As glipized is a misspelling I suspect they misunderstood and thought you mean Glimepiride. Which comes in boxes of 100 and indeed costs over 900 baht. Give Medisafe a few days rest and try again but without any discussion, just request to order the Gabapentin. Worst case, have someone else do it for you via a different facebook account. But I think if you let a few dfays pass and then just message a request to order the gabapentin it will go through OK. You can get glipizide 5 mg 30 tabs in a box for B 190 a box here https://medtide.com/product-tag/glipizide/
  23. Thanks but that just describes how to set notifications. I have already done that. I have also already done you tube and google searches. No help there that I could find. Any one else?
  24. Sounds likje she had at least triple therapy but no repeat testing
