  1. Thank you @OJAS for your very appreciated information. I have been switching the passports in the past when this could be done at Vientiane within just two business days. At Jomtien I always have been using the 800k option without having any problems. A for me very interesting idea is to enter the Kingdom on a visa exempt and apply here for a Non-O conversion. Do you happen to know if Jomtien is eligible again to do the conversion? I remember many years ago just the immigrations at Chang Wattana and Hat Yai were.
  2. So I understand that the embassy in Phnom Pehn is the fastest, processing a Non-Imm-O Visa. Are there any other positive recent reports from neighboring countries?
  3. I don't feel comfortable staying in Thailand without a valid passport with an allowance of stay.
  4. Having a dual citizenship I need to renew my Caribbean passport this year. I'm living in Thailand on an EoS (retirement) based on a Non-Imm-O Visa which is in the Caribbean passport. Since this passport has to 'travel' for maybe more than 60 days for renewal, I would like to switch to my European passport first and apply for a Non-Imm-O Visa at one of the Thai embassies or consulates in the neighboring countries. I meet the requirements for a Non-Imm-O Visa and an Extension of Stay. Some time ago I was able to complete this process within two days, but I'm aware that the rules have changed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  5. With Bitkub I have only good experiences. It's very easy to transfer THB from or into your Thai bank account.
  6. I have been buying Bitcoin and some stable coins at Bitkub. THB transfer by Thai banks into Bitkub was never a problem. Of course Bitkub is doing KYC.
  7. I've been to both of them and think they're both good. Samitivej is a little better organized IMO.

  9. Is an online appointment for Chonburi/Jomtien Immigration available too?
  10. Meeting Point is good too, but closes at 20:00. Another place to mention is Jaybees on the Eastside. https://maps.app.goo.gl/4RpJ2ptLRmt6ZXjJA
  11. At least not regularly.
  12. Bei Gerhard and Borussia Park. Both in Naklua.
  13. For my progressive lenses I visit an optometrist. My readers are from Mr. DIY.
  14. I was able to do mine by postal mail recently. (Jomtien)
  15. Which one ist that?
  16. Quite good, too: https://maps.app.goo.gl/3UsG8G3upawsSad47
  17. Like me at PKCP. 20 Baht/m² is really a joke. Once I convinced a member of the Rattanakorn family to increase the common fee, but the next day at the AGM Rattanakorn refused again to increase it.
  18. This one fixed my 75 yo watch in a perfect way. The price was okay, too. https://maps.app.goo.gl/32ny8yzk8a6moXh98
  19. So is it correct that my mail-in 90-day report should be successful, after it was delivered to the Immigration 8 days before of the due date? What is your suggestion, for how long I should wait for the self-addressed letter with the confirmation until I should go there in person?
  20. Usually the Bolt drivers want you to get out of the bus station to pick you up not inside.
  21. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fWW8X7kTh5kat12UA Another one in Soi Potisan. I used him for many years. Shoes, bags and even for an inlet of a helmet. Always did a great job and not expensive at all.
  22. In the Park Beach Condo they say he had a cramp and drowned as a result.
  23. A friend just made good experience with Sunthorn Techawiriyaset, D.D.S. for replacing a tooth. He is the prosthodontist doing the first examination and will advise what is the best to do. I just had a root canal treatment with Rapee Chalermnontakarn, D.D.S. who is an endodontists. She did a very good job IMO and it was almost painless. The crown I'll get from my dentist, where I usually go.
  24. I wasn't able to transfer by Krung Thai bank, what was recommended. Tried many times. With UOB no problems at all.
