  1. There is a company on Facebook, but for the life of me I can not remember the name, they have a website too. On the website you can size yourself and everything, along with choose your fabric etc,, Prices worked out fairly good, considering, I also believe it is run by a non Thai or Asian, possibly a European.

  2. This brings up a thing I did not know about, until my other half mentioned it (TG).

Apparently, there is a pardon granted once a year, on a very specific day in December, that allows people like this creature free.

Allegedly, there was a motorcy taxi driver that raped and murdered a youngish mother, with a 6 month old baby, from our neighbourhood. It transpired that he had done this previously and was in prison serving his sentence then, on this specific day, he was pardoned and released. Maybe this is what happened here with this thing being out of prison.

Obviously, I can only go by what I have been told about the pardon thingy.

  3. I flew out on a return ticket once, well tried to, with Emirates. The lady at the check-in noticed my return date was longer than you are allowed, without a proper pre-bought tourist visa (60 day) from the embassy in my home country the U.K. She very kindly changed it so that my return date was within the normal 30 day waiver on entry, and on I went. Got to Thailand and no probs.

It may de pend on the airline, but they can stop you boarding.

  4. You could try a place called Swing, there is two clubs, one is open until about 2am and then you go across the road to the other one. They are both owned by the same people, the second one is open until about 12 noon. app

It's Spicy pub and Swing in Rong Mueang 1.

Depend on what you are looking for, also Gadae (gay) pub in Ratchada area open till 7-8am...

Cheers @Mak25 never could remember the area. Did not realise Spicy was a pub. hahaha. From my memory, Swing is a tiny place with pool tables too, not so sure on the relaxed atmosphere though, due to the music as it is quite up tempo, but other than that was good.

Taxi man should know where exactly it is and the first one covers the taxi fare and gives you a ticket for your drinks after paying the entry fee. Sorry can't be more specific on the location, but it ain't far from Suk road.

  6. All the Nakhonchai Air buses leave from the same terminal, whether going to Isaan or Chiang Mai. Which is the one south of Klang and before the 7-11 as you head towards Jomtien on Sukhumvit. Check the map in my early post, should be able to have a street view too.

  7. I have LMG Insurance. It's an American company but based in Thailand as well. My plan covers 100% on most things and costs half the price of BUPA. If you're interested in a great agent then send me a PM and I'll give you his details. I'm on my 3rd year with the company and an agent that has my back.

@The Traveler, is this the same company? http://www.lmgpacific.com/products/health_insurance/mega_series_individual_health

If so, thanks for the info. I can not see an example of cost, based on example ages though, or which specific hospitals are covered.

  8. There are about 80-90% of Thai's that are good like that, about the same in other places in the world. I had never had an issue in the past with taxi's here, until the past 3 months, other than them not wanting the fare. Then had 3 in a row try to rip me off.

  9. Maybe they should look to Europe for an example of how it is done, currently there are 28 member states of the EU, how many drive on the same side as Thailand? Well, only four European countries continue to drive on the left: Cyprus, Ireland, Malta and the United Kingdom. Does that cause a problem, not sure about that.

Considering 2 maybe 3 are fiscally bankrupt, I await the minister drawing a connection.

Good point, but I think you will find that may not be down to whatever side of the road they drive. More to do with the over stretching of the currency [the Euro], in the main part due to the banks and their greed etc., but that is a completely different topic. smile.png
