They will make an example of this guy. An attractive police Dr. from a well-off family killed by what appears to be a poorer police officer breaking multiple laws in broad daylight. He is going away.

It's not even that complicated. Just stop adding data for new tourists. It's as simple as that. The minister's explanation reeks of a man who has absolutely know idea what he is talking about. This is most unsettling.

Yes, being vaccinated has been the key to opening the door to a return to some travel normality for me as most provinces have vaccination/testing requirements (although it does vary).

This is obviously in Nichada, a village in which their are numerous speed humps and signs telling people to slow down. The village is home to ISB school and hundreds of expat and Thai children. While I feel sorry for the motorcycle rider, he had no business riding at those excessive speeds in such an area.

If to remain viable, an organisation needs funding from a nefarious source, perhaps that organisation should be questioning it's relevance to society.
I would say doubly so in the case of golf, which is generally associated with the upper echelons of society, which have plenty of money themselves.

Stumbled across the video on Reddit. The 2 assailants completely emptied their clubs into him. Looks like the final one might have been a head tap. It appears had very clear instructions from someone.

The choices other than for her to find another job are very few.
Maybe enroll in a school and get a extension for that reason.
She may have to leave and reenter the country with a tourist visa.
With Covid, are we sure she would need to leave the country to get an extension visa once her Non-B is cancelled? I ask because I am honestly unsure.
The other option, if she would have to leave Thailand to get a tourist visa, would be to change to an education visa instead. With the costs and hassle involved of going through the test and go, an education visa might be the better option.

For day trippers, it is quite likely the 330 baht is a primary, but certainly not only, concern. Extended family drive down from somewhere, can't afford to stay in Samed so go over for a day. 330 x 6, 8, or even 10 people, that can really have an impact. Not to mention that you can buy your own tests for 50 baht or less at the 7/11. So this is basically a desperate cash grab.
Then add in the time lost to get everyone tested + that if one person tests positive that's it for the entire group.

Congratulations to Prayut and his government for this monumental achievement.

There is no denying the guy has done very well for himself, with his videos often getting over 1m views each. An extremely impressive number. Reading the comments here however, it's a mix of ambivalence and thinly vieled jealousy.

I travelled 2 Europe for 2 weeks. I had the Vaccine Passport but still encountered sole minor inconveniences along the way. Getting the Thailand Pass wasn't difficult, but you need to be prepared with correct documents in jpg and pdf format. Takes about 30 mins. And finally the clear PCR, with results dated within 72 hours of departure.
For a 2 week trip this wasn't too much trouble. For a trip of less than a week, I'm not sure I would want all the hassle.
Then you also have to consider if you have the time and money should you test positive and be whisked away into quarantine once you arrive back in Thailand. If not, definitely don't go.

Take a selfie with it wearing the clothes you have on that day/night.

People are choosing home ATK tests instead of PCR tests if they can. Who can blame them. People generally don't want to get uprooted from their family to spend 10-14 days in a quarantine centre or hospitel, especially when Omicron appears to have milder symptoms. Home quarantine appears to be increasingly the preferred choice.

Many 7/11s sell them for about 45 baht each. Pharmacies have a wider selection, including from Roche and Siemens. These can cost up to 200 baht each.

I went to the Tawangdaeng Beer Garden last night, and proof of vaccination was required for entry. First time I have seen this in Thailand, but it didn't seem to put people off at all. The place was almost full by the time I left at 7:30pm, and this was on a Sunday evening.

Never ever travel to or from Koh Chang with a car on the first or last day of a holiday unless you want to become part of the chaos described in the article. It's been this way for as long as I can remember.

In my opinion, these statements are 3 of the more sensible things that have come out of his mouth.

btw my dad is cancer patient and diabetic type2, forgot to mention that .
My gf has cancer, and has had 2 AZ vaccinations. She felt a little bit hungry and sleepy for 12-24 hours after each does, but other than that we made sure she got her in the middle of her chemo cycle (not within 10 days of chemo)

Agreed. Could be step forward for many of us while making it more difficult for the unwashed and undesirable dodgy bar lurkers.

FOr most the MGs, this has been true. The new MG5 has 17" alloys on top spec, and I had to admit it, looks very nice inside and out. Based on looks I would take it over the Honda and Toyota equivalents.

My own humble opinion is that everyone will get exposed to one variant of another at some point, much like other highly infectious airborne viruses (such as the many different types of flu). If you are young, healthy, vaccinated, chances are you will barely notice, if at all. Older, overweight, pre-exisiting comorbidities , and not vaccianted, you are at much greater risk of serious and long lasting effects, possibly death.

Rider of ‘big bike’ involved in fatal accident to be indicted on nine charges

I don't believe they will do it for that reason, but rather so they can say "look, we aren't corrupt and don't look after our own, we follow the law".... they will then promptly let Joe Ferrari and other senior police off their charges with a slap on the wrist.
