Kids with parents who are unable or unwilling to provide other forms of teaching will suffer the most from this. Most likely those at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum. The dumb getting dumber.

Look, if we are going to call it the UK or Sth African variant, and this apparently isn't racist, then lets call a spade a spade and just say the "UK Variant of the Chinese Flu".

I have friends living in Vietnam who love it. They are a a married western couple in their late thirties with well paying jobs, and they find it much more enjoyable than Thailand. Generally things are cheaper, including imported goods. While the cities can be quite chaotic, things are generally of a higher quality. Travelling within the country is as good as Thailand too. At least this is what they say.
For sexpats and beer bellied day drinkers it's not such an attractive proposition, as there isn't a historical industry built up around that type of person.

Seems everyone is happy with this idea, so why the negativity?

It used to be 120kph. With the proliferation of cameras and associated fines, this is no longer the case. On a road with a limit of 90, assume the camera will be set-up accordingly, unless there is a sign specifically saying otherwise e.g. sign with picture of a camera with 120 below it means the camera is set to 120.

B-Quik is owned by a guy from the Netherlands I think it is. So ironically, probably the most European of the outfits. Funnily enough though, I had a similar experience with them, and then also went to Tyre Plus. Short while later I drove off with a set of 4 new well priced tyres without any drama.

If you've got your own tent, then yes you can camp in pretty much all the national parks in Thailand.
Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ranong, Kanchanaburi, and Mae Hong Son offer some of the nicest spots without the crowds of some other places.

I find Facebook useful for keeping up with family and friends back home. Quite a few organisations and clubs I am involved with use Facebook as their primary way to communicate with members, so also good for that.
If neither of those things interests you, perhaps you are a stay home sort of person, then I imagine FB offers few positive benefits.

There are only a few avenues through which you can buy Crypto via a Thai bank account. Satang Pro and Bit Krub being two. To the best of my knowledge these platforms do not allow you to withdraw funds to a foreign bank account. In summary, money laundering and too many people doing what you want to do mean the regulations in place are very strict.

Umm looks like the old one ?
Very much so. Not even really a facelift (2019 model for reference below).

The normal where construction projects provide massive kickback for the senior officials involved.

So in Phase 3, vaccinated tourists from as of yet unspecified low risk countries may be able to enter Thailand without quarantine from Oct 1st, but even this entirely depends on the Covid situation at that time.
This will hardly inspire confidence in tourists, nor the local tourism sector.

The Volvo S/V 60 offers great value. 407bhp 5 series competitor for less than the 3 series. You've also got the choice of an estate. Personally this is the vehicle I would choose.
(or get the S90 for only 3.3m baht if you want to really go large)

The motocyc driver will say that the security guard started it by using some bad words, and because of his short temper he attacked him. And then got his friends and attacked him some more. But they didn't mean to kill him, so it's ok. Wai. Sorry. The End.

A 2nd referendum will confirm that one way of another.

While there are still wrinkles, this seems to be the most sensible attempt yet. I sincerely hope for the sake of all those affected, that they can successfully open the country up to some degree soon.

Multiple waves of the virus should never have been discounted, and so the Thai governments utter lack of preparedness (cardboard beds in hurriedly set up ’concentration' field hospitals) is utterly inexcusable.
There are so many reasons why this Government shouldn't be in power, and only one why they are....guns.
