It's easy to imagine how an elderly 45 year old could die naturally of a heart attack on a place as stressful as Koh Lipe. RIP.

Right now is a perfect time to visit Hua Hin if you want to walk around the old town and soak in the atmosphere. Perhaps visit a myriad of deserted beaches. There are some gorgeous and typically over crowded temples which right now are much more enjoyable. Rent a bicycle or scooter, and get off the beaten track. Since dining in may not be an option, find a quiet place to enjoy some of the amazing food Hua Hin has to offer.
Much of Thailand is hurting right now. Instead of looking for places that can give us what we are used to, why not enjoy a quieter side to the country whilst it lasts, and help the many business which are struggling to survive. ????

If you ask me it's more than a little humiliating for a foreign nation to have to take care of it's citizens in this way because their host nations own efforts amount to little more than headlines full of empty promises.

Pedestrian crossings are just for show, they serve no real function. You could even argue that not having them may save lives by eliminating any false sense of security they conjure up amongst users.

It's a problem when people continually talk about what they are going to do, not what they have done, nor even what they are currently doing.

Not that I disagree with any of the posters above, but it's still better than nothing.

I was beginning to worry about the police. So happy to read they have found a way to claw back some of the money they will have lost due to Covid from their other forms of racketeering

So that's where all those pick-ups loaded with vegetables are going. Rather impressive actually.

I tried it back in January and remember thinking that it managed to encapsulate the sh*t taste of Leo quite well.

The time and effort you've put into locating so far probably far exceeds any potential saving you are hoping to make.

The largest public health crisis in the history of the nation, and these guys are making sure they get their cut first.
Delivery and quality check will be included in the selling price, absolutely nothing to do with charging taxes. This is completely immoral.

I am all for masks, and understand that it is probably easier to enforce the blanket wearing outdoors to avoid confusion and possible 'abuse'. Nonetheless, the following made for interesting reading....

He's done some "research" on youtube and now has a feeling of intellectual and moral superiority that means he doesn't have to follow the rules that all the "sheeple" do.

I am stunned at the volume of sub-par beers put out by the beer breweries here. I used to believe that they just didn't know what they were doing, but now I wonder if it's something to do with the preference of local taste-buds.

Still better than the government.

If they don't like to cover their faces in public, then the media don't need to cover their faces in photos. Shame them.

Rotary emissions are about 120c hotter than standard combustion engines. Typically this is apparently not a problem..... but if you are stuck in a Bangkok traffic jam?

So instead of 51 weeks of enjoyment, you'll only have 50 now. Yeah, I'd call it quits and stay home.

I think the Mazda is the way to go. Excellent performance, handling, and an interior that belongs in a European marque. It is an extremely highly regarded car by the international motoring press. In addition, it will be much easier to navigate the small winding Samui roads.
I would only recommend the Toyota if you really needed the size, or perhaps if you were going to drive long distances, say from Surathani to Bangkok, on a fairly regular basis.

Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse.

"He has..." the smell of cringe is stronger than the smell of weed from "his" cannabis clinics.

I think this is at least partially achievable. Not because Thailand is going to lead the way, but rather it'll have to follow the rest of the world.
Is Beerlao the best Beer in South East Asia?

I'm very fond of "Myanmar" Beer. Lovely crisp German style lager.
As far as I know, Thailand is the only country in the region where the large breweries don't know how to make beer. Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, even Malaysia and Indonesia all can.
