Actually the "granader" ran into that building and I assume had pre-planted the "bb-guns" and the red hat with the police insignia on it hoping that the protesters would follow him strait away, discover the plant and retaliate against the police which would then bring in the army and vualah.......COUP.
Nice try Suthep you.....MORON..........You killed again didn't you?

Was offered free lunch yesterday in front of Central World. Pad See Ew looked quite nice but I'd already eaten. Have to admit that it was very sweet of the smiling old ladies to offer free food to a farang wandering around the "party".
Why would a farang be "wondering" around a Thai political protest site in the first place? Are you the brother of Jeff Savage?

I CANNOT believe how Suthep is playing up this bombing incident on BlueSky TV. He keeps showing it over and over and then they flash to the screen of all the guns and amo they found with the RED ball cap on top of it all.
COME ON !!!!!! A red-shirt is going to throw a granade then run into the building where all of these weapos are and leave a RED Ball cap there?
WHO DOES THIS IDIOT THINK HE IS KIDDING !!!!!!!! Well obviously he is kidding himself and the followers.

I also just watched BlueSky TV and find it hard to believe that the granade launcher would run away in the direction that would lead the police to the room where they found several guns etc. Seems a bit fishy to me.
PS: The scary thing now is that tonight (Friday night) is when they all start drinking.

REAL Thai people actually are very nice. I just haven't seen any for years.
"Amazing Thailand" is true and if you can get past all the bad shit that Thailand has to offer lately and make your way past the political unrest and out to the Provinces then YES it does start with the people.

Maybe you could strike a deal at soi 9 if you have millions, but as soon as you are in the system there no bribes to get you off your charge. He should have tried to pay the cops on the street, as soon as you are at soi 9 there are no deals to be made.
slightly inaccurate, its all deals once you are in the cells at soi 9, probably a little more costly tho
And yes there are bribes to be had in the cells, like visiting privileges etc, but a farang once in the cells, can not bribe to get his charge dropped.

Wrong !!
Normally when in jail the police will let you out on bail and keep your passport until your trial date. Bail is up to what the police want and after assaulting one, I'm sure this guys will be large.
I then thakes quite some time for the police to investigate you to see if you have had any similar charges here in LOS but again after the assault this can slow them down.
If the cop decides that tis should go to court then he makes his case and sends it off to the Prosecutor's office and THIS is when the corruption pay-off stops. Until that date which in this case could be 6 months or more, the defendant still has the opportunity to pay-off the police to drop the charges.
He should have NEVER assaulted the cop.

I'd have figured the Bangkok refugees would have more than filled the gap.
This is exactly what is happening now so yes "tourism" is down but the Bangkokians are taking up the space.
The TAT wouldn't post such negative reports if it wasn't true.
No, most Hotels are booked solid but again, from Bangkokians.

I guess Thaksin needs that coup so bad
Why the help would Thaksin want his own government overthrown? !!!!!!
coupko͞o/nounnoun: coup; plural noun: coups; noun: coup d'état; plural noun: coups d'état; plural noun: coup d'états- 1.a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government."he was overthrown in an army coup"Do you have any idea of what you are on about really?

In my opinion it went like this with a conversation between Suthep and a protester:
Suthep: Hey dude, Ill put 500,000 baht in your families account if you put on a red shirt and throw a granade into the crowd ok?
Protester: Cool !!!!!!

I don't envy you Craig. It's like when I watched tha Stanley Cup last year here at 5:30am.
George Thorogood said it best "I drink alone". And yeah it did seem strange drinking beer at 5:30am but ya just can't watch the Stanley Cup without a beer in your hand.

Another cowardly attack on unarmed protesters. I hope they bring this Government to it's knee's asap. So sad to watch people get hurt and dying, almost on a daily basis, when they believe in peaceful protesting against a corrupt Government
Sorry but did you mean a High treason protest against and "ELECTED" government?

Your description could be talking about anywhere in Thailand really except for the beach factor.
Maybe if your budget would have allowed you to stay in a higher end resort near Northpoint or south near Jomtien/Na Jomtien you might be writing a different story but planting yourself smack in the middle of a sesspool it's no wonder you are writing this.
Doesn't sound like you got too adventurous either as in not visiting the attractions surrounding Pattaya.

1) Yes I only see 1 female out of all those photos.
2) If you had ever seen my face working in Northern Canada in -57 degrees without the wind factor you might say these people look happy compared to me
3) I think in general most of these workers are not happy with their jobs. The only time they smile is when a customer buys drinks and they start to get drunk.
4) You might look sad too going to work with the thought that you might have to spend the night with a 78-year-old man that weighs 260lbs.
As far as Canadian Artists/Photographers go, this guy doesn't compare.

Maybe it is that Farang red shirt that was on video throwing a stick at the ground. He was not playing with a full deck.

After I suggested bahtsold.com I looked and saw a great deal for both rim and rubber for 1,200b but if that is to much of a hastle then yes go to Goodrich.

Well I guess we all have our own opinions and I will stick with mine. I think the OP's questions have been answered and then some so I'm off topic.
Either way I like the dark side

Does anyone know how I can find this bluesky channel on Sophon cable or is it only if you have satalite TV?

The funny thing is that the Thai hotel owners "present tense" thinking, when there is a slump in tourists, instead of lowering the prices to attract more tourists and keep their hotels full, they raise the price thinking that is how they should make up for it.

No. I think it means that during their travels they don't spend a lot in airports or layovers etc but when they reach their destination that they start to spend more. Fairly simple I think.
Where would you possibly get that they think they are "far superior" from this news article? Maybe they don't have the kind of money that many of us from 1st world countries have and good jobs to come back to so they are just more careful how they travel?
Doesn't take much to get you going does it?

Have you tried asking the tyre outlets ?
Now that was helpful.
I have often seen tyres for sale on http://www.bahtsold.com in the Pattaya section under used car parts. Also you could ask some of the motorcycle taxis as they usually have a lot of info on everything.
