They shouldn't need to put a bounty on a guy that is already indicted for murder and has arrest warrants out for him now as he marches freely.

Ok ok play meaning music and the boys meaning the "good ole boys".
I stay in Pattaya Klang area but just on the dark side. I have a Martin, a Dobro, a Banjo, a Wash-tub bass, an Ozark Mountain Mouth Bow, some harps and a PA System.
You might have guessed that my main music is Bluegrass however I play several different styles also. I can travel too however I only have a motorbike so I am limited to my guitar and some harps HOWEVER I do know some "good ole boys" that live just South of Pattaya and if you play Bluegrass and live anywhere near me and own a car, maybe we can bring my Gut-Bucket down and arrange a jam session with them.
If not then we can just jam at my place and play any style you/we want.

Table-saws are very cheap here too and then just buy the blade.

Just a stab in the dark, but you could try the Philips Service Centre. That's where I get my spare parts when mine does not work.
Central Road between Foodland and Sukhumvit is Soi Town on Town on the left. Go 100 Metres up and on the right you will see the big PHILIPS sign outside.
May take a week or two to arrive though. My last part had to come from Singapore!
Good luck
WOW Now I know why I posted here. Thank you for the great tip and help. I will swing by there now.

Yes it is required. You might be able to avoid this obligation if you have registered on the house registration and can provide a signed copy of this.
I think you STILL need the residency letter but you can use that document to get the letter instead of a phone bill etc.

Strange why the other 17 vehicles wern't reported stolen.

That's gotta suck. I mean the iPads, necklace etc is replacable and all but I do think they will now be "once bitten twice shy" type thing and wil upgrade their dwelling here in Pattaya.

Yeah you sure don't want a PM visiting the people of the country. How terrible that is.
Get a life !!!!!!!!!
What you don't want is a PM using taxpayers money to campaign for an election. That gives the incumbent PM a big advantage over any opposition.
How is she using taxpayers money to "campaign for an election"?
She doesn't need to "campaign". She is the PM NOW. She can't just drop all her PM duties to the people. She still has to do what a PM is supposed to do even during this shutdown.
Abisit/Suthep wants an election then they don't want an election then they want to charge their PM with election fraud..........I mean come on........let the people just decide in an election and that's that. Of course some Thai will not be happy and some will with the newly elected goverment but that's the same in any country after an election.
If the opposition wants to be elected in then they should be using this time before Feb. 2nd as their campaign time NOT as a time to insight riots, dividing a country, blood shed etc.

I don't believe it was anti-protesters if nobody was hit. Just another scam to make the "other" side look bad.
Either iether glad noone was hurt.
I've been watching the Thai PBS HD station for a couple of hours now and never saw this incident.

300 baht and 20 minutes.

Forecast for Pattaya is cooler temps ahead again
Sek Loso played Marine Disco in December.
Heard from Thai Friends that it was terrible, and he spent the majority of the night picking fights with the audience.
Have heard nothing about a Feb. concert.
Maybe TamNanChon on 3rd Road, but the last announcment I had from them was to tell me that Da Endorphine returns on the 18th Jan.
Thai friends?
Ha ha.
People can't have Thai friends? I can see why YOU don't but........

Let me know what you come up with Craig. I also heard that and will ask someone who will know.

I agree with the resaurant owner on this one. These moto taxis are getting bad these days parking everywhere and blocking spots at 7-11's and everywhere really. To many licenses have been handed out I think.

I knew Sek when he was a real drunk (In Isaan) and yes he was always picking fights but I thought he has been sober for some time now?
I do remember now about hearing he was at Marine in Dec. but never heard any reviews. What a shame.
Still nice out today so all is good.

Of course there is going to be a coup or at least an attempted coup or else the army would have stepped in the day Suthep declared a seizure and arrested him in his Hotel.
I just don't get it why he hasn't been taken into custady already?

An off topic post suggesting Pattaya should be nuked has been removed along with all the quoted replies
omg ! Please folks this is a serious post regarding what can happen here in Pattaya and NOT an oportunity to bash the place where we live.
There has been some good replies like:
Keep cash on hand as the ATM's will be effected
Internet could also be disrupted here in Pattaya as the towers are in Bkk
Pharmacies might run low on supplies
Grocery stores WILL run low
Hotels will most likely be full
etc etc etc. This will effect Pattaya no mater what you think folks.
PS: Buy banjo strings !!!!!!!

My first point is that it seems the smoggy weather has finally left us. Sitting on my balcony now East of Sukhumvit near Pattaya Klang with a R&C and can see clear lights across the harbour all the way to Sriratcha and also lights on the boats quite away in the sea to the West. Thank god.
The second point was that I heard vicious rumours that Sek Loso will be in Pattaya at the beggining of February. Has anyone else heard this?

WOW 5 recomendations so far and none are any good for the OP?
There is a farang/thai couple that i rented a full sized pick-up from but he has cars too. I paid 18k per month plus 8k deposit fully insured. Pm me if you want his name and number?
He is off soikhaonoi but won't deliver to you.

Here I am thinking I made a ecent legitimate post to help and out from under the bridges come............
If you feel the need to bash Pattaya please do it in your journal.
If you have any decent input, please post it here.
And the comments about the warehouse being outside of Bkk center is true however most of them are in Pathum Thani and Rangsit where a lot of the action will be so.......
Anyways, just stocked up in Fascino and asked them and they said they just got a shipment in today (were unloading as I was there) but also said that they might not be able to get a nother for some time so I think my post is more then real.
-
That's a good point about the ATM's being down. I'd assume they all go via Bangkok phone lines and modems and if Bangkok is down, no cash available to the farang for his drinking habits.
We have also been told there is a secret plan to in fact take over the airports. You won't read about it in the newspapers but the plan exist. Thai's aren't as stupid as many on here think. The airports getting shut down speaks louder than a few intersections in Bangkok proper. I'd say by the end of the week they move to the airports, and I do mean both of them.
And if they don't
will you apoligise to all members of this web site for stiring up trouble that never happened
Stirring up trouble? Are you a retard? He made a valid point in this post as apposed to your un-educated remark.
If they do, will you kiss my feet and apologize?
-
I think the impact will be minimal here. If you have a hotel, condo, or need to conduct business in the protest area that is another story. The warehouses and industrial areas are outside the "war" zone so I don't think we will see shortages of necessities.
A decent post thanks but I must say that how do you know where the warehouses are please?
Remember just recently during the floods you couldn't even get a bag of chrisps from 7-11 and even water and colas was running out in the supermarkets. Even ciggarrates were hard to get many brands.
I don't know where Fascino's warehouse is or many others but I can only hope you are right.
The big companies in chonburi, leamchabang, rayong etc are telling the workers to keep cash on hand because in case of an evacuation they will need to pay their own way to the pick-up points and that all ATM's could be down.
As someone here said already better to be safe then sound.
Off to stock up at Fascino now.

Easy money?
Yeah very easy to just walk into a crowd of thousands and thousands of angry protesters, slap a pair of cuffs on him and walk him into the police station.
Bin Laded hid in dirt, Suthep is hiding in crowds
