Seeing as the OP's next question will be "Why do they call it the dark side"? I will give my true theory;

In 2005 when they were cutting power off at first the "Cock Inn" and "Noi's" and a few other bars for not paying copyright fines week after week it became knows as The Dark Side.

Anyways, the reason imo why they call it the Darkside goes back a few years when there were hardly any lights at the roads and just a few moo baans and thats it. Thats why it was called the Darkside.

Nothing like it is now at Khao Noi,NPW,SSCC and Khao Talo.

Sorry to disagree but I was one of the patrons sitting in those bars in 2005 when we were drinking in the "dark" and I had never heard it called the dark side until during those times.

People never called it the dark side when there were less lights and less developed.There was a certain spree of bars having their electric meters taken away until they paid the 25 to 50,000 baht fines wich back then took some time.

As much as I disagree with what Suthep is saying and doing [along with his refusal to appear in court to acknowledge his indictment for murder], I see no useful purpose in pursuing an aggressive move to arrest him. It will only inflame an already volatile situation. Let him show whether he can keep the demonstrations relatively non-violent or not. If he can't, then he will only be facing more charges than have been leveled already. Additionally, it will serve to show who his true allies are and to what extent they are willing to go to support his agenda.

No usefull purpose in arresting him? What don't you understand about treason?

I go on SSCC just over the railway tracks on the right hand side past the first 7-11 and the new motorcycle shop. 100b for a good haircut and shave including nose hairs, eyebrows and the quick arm and finger pulling. Usually in and out fairly fast. Without the shave I think it is 80b

I already know all of the musicians around town and that's why I'm looking for new blood to just jam with but not on stage as this gets very dangerous.

Not to put Ramshacle down by any means but anyone who plays a banjo without finger picks does not really "Play" a banjo. Also they have their own gigs and are not really into "jamming" so no time to just sit around and pick. Yes I would highly reccomend watching them as they are a fantastic group to see live.

New blood is good blood and I'm not interested in playing at venues where I could be arrested for not having a work permit or visa for that. Room jams are safe and much more fun.

I thought it was a GREAT video report. The only one I have seen where a Brit gets directly involved with the questioning on the stage and in the middle of the protest. I must say he has balls the size of Kansas though.

Some of you think that this type or journalism was short and bias but I'm sure they only offered him a few minutes in the lime-light.

The problem with this "respect my vote" bit is that it's in English and the majority of the red shirts cant speak English let alone read it. so in the end it can be deemed as cheap propaganda, don't u think?

They are in both Thai and English. What makes you think that Thais cannot read and write English? The color of ones t-shirt does not define what one can read and write.

Guess you haven't been in Thailand long if that's what you think.
