  1. I like Montieths, black, celtic and the pils is pretty cool. Of their seasonal beers only ever tried the summer blond. WHich from memory had honey in it. A tasty drop. Cascade from Oz also do seasonal beers.

James Squire from N.S.W. Aust does some nice boutique beers they were pretty successful a couple of years ago. Shame it died down abit.

I know Foodland Sukhumvit 7(?) has some decent beers. Need more tho.

And the Beer Haus in Pattaya brew a mean wheat beer. Wish they had lemon to go with it. NOT lime tho. Its just not the same.

  2. 9. Fin Du Monde (Canada, Quebec)

Does this one live up to its name, Vic? :o

    Scouse.

La Fin Du Mond= End of the World

Its a fantastic beer. Same brewery as Terrible, Maudite, Trois Pistoles, Blanch de Chambly, Raftman. All fantastic beers. Around the 9% mark. Same vain as the Belguim Ales.

    Delirum Tremins another great beer.

YOu guys certainly have some great taste.

Even tanglefoot, ruddles, london Pride. All great beer

Love Old Peculiar. THink I'll have to have a big session when I get back to Oz.

Marstons and Fullers are great breweries in London. All their beers are pretty cool.

I also like the Hobgoblin Ale by Wytchwood (sic) brewery.

    So many memories flooding back.

Saw someone say Speights from N.Z. What about the Monteiths range. Any NZers here???

    Keep 'em coming in guys.

This is a real passion of mine incase you hadn't noticed. :D Have written a few articles on beer. And once had the largest selection on premise in Oz. 168 different brews all up.

  3. I am wondering where warm piss would fit into your list. I think the subject is for BEST BEERS not WORST BEERS!

Please try a few imports d dog you will never look back

Looks like a poll for your own favorite beers

like i said, i admit i am still young and havent been exposed to alot of the beer out there, chang and orion are the only imports i've ever tried, chang (which i enjoy for both taste and price) because its what they sell at my wifes village and orion because its everywhere here in japan

Yes he did say he was only 21. Give him some time to develop an appreciation. Good beers are like good wines.

Some people also like only lagers.

Good to see the Belguim and Canadian beers doing well. The whole unibrau range is excellent. Leffe mmm, Hoegaarden Grand Cru is excellent. Redstripe as long as its the Jamiacan one and not the bottled in the U.K. stuff. Dogbolter is nice too. So ###### many good beers.

  4. Interesting selection. They are all lagers. Must of them in the sessional beer area. Meaning easy drinking all night long beers.

Gotta say Rolling Rock is pretty nice though. However Bud, mmm.

Well, its your top ten so its a fair call.

    Cheer and beers

  5. Worrying about when a natural disaster is going to strike is not going to spoil my life.

Now, if there is someone who could tell me this I would be grateful. Too me they could be related. We pump millions of barrels of oil from the Earth every day. We don't replace it with anything. Therefore, we are creating huge voids underground. COuld this HAVE anything to do with the techtonic plates movement. Or could the Earth just implode one day.

I am no scientist but am interested in knowing. So any bright sparks. Let me know.

    Cheers

    C

I might be able to enlighten you a little bit on this one.

The popular conception of pools of oil filling voids underground is not actually correct. The oil sits in permeable rock formations - a bit like water in a sponge - so when it is pumped out there is no void left behind and the 'sponge' fills back up with water. Remember that the oil is less dense and 'floats' on top of any water. Nevertheless, there are areas of the world where there has been subsidence of the ground because of oil extraction so the model is not 100% correct.

I don't think that there is any danger of the Earth imploding so don't lose any sleep over this. We're talking about a planet 8000 miles in diameter and all of this oil drilling activity takes place within a very thin skin, next to the surface. Not even as thick, relatively, as the skin on an orange. The current model also suggests that a large proportion of the planet is liquid - albeit under great pressure - and liquids do not implode.

    DM (wearing scientist hat) :o

Thanx for that. I don't lose sleep about it I have just pondered about it. Interesting to know.

    Cheers

  7. I am as worried about a tsunami hitting thailand again, as I am worried that I will get rejected by a fat and ugly TBG.

Please... end this boring topic!!!!!  Who gives a flying flock about freak acts of mother nature that can't be predicted.  This topic is about as stupid as someone asking you if whether tomorrow you will eat corn flakes or eggs for breakfast, and live to tell about it.

Sorry for the sarcasm, and the piss poor attitude, but the OP's query belongs in the sewer with all of the other heaps of crappola.

Should of added in the I Don't give a flying fork. For peeps like GUmball.

Not that I'm worried but an interesting thread IMHO.

  9. Umm, no safe sex. I suggest you go to your local Doc for a full check-up. If you didn't practise s/s with her I gather you still aren't. Not saying you DO have anything. But its only fair to your future partners you know your health situation.

  10. And a real good mexican beer would be needed. Not Corona. Something like Negro Modelo. Has a slight chocolate hint. Dark brown in colour. Perfect for spicy mexican food.

Love a decent Nachos or Tortilla. Use to work in the kitchen of a mexican as a cook. Miss the food.

Its called Negra Modelo & it is one of the best in the world; Tecate is a distant 2nd; Corona is the worst and Dos Equis is reasonably OK. But Negra Modelo is the champ - a gorgeous dark color that adds beauty to the taste!

    :D

Sounds good to me, you two are in charge of beer, I'll cover the ice.

    :o

    Yes MY BAD

    N E G R A

Mmm Dos Equis is certainly alot better than Corona but which one. From memory there was 2. Arhh I think I can smell a new thread. :D

Here in LOS, after trying all that's available, I've settled into a comfortable trot with just 2 very satisfying beers -- Singha & Asahi (Japan); the nod goes to Asahi.

    :D

Asahi, yes thats nice if its really cold. A similar beer in taste and quality is San Miguel super dry. I also like Their Pale pils greaton a hot night. Haven't seen either here. Another good beer from the land of the rising sun is the Sapporo not the bottled one but the Silver Bullet Can.

Oops getting off topic. THink I'll start that beer thread today. :D

  11. Seattle Indy Music Scene came alive - one thing if you don't like their music, but far from rubbish.

Nirvana spawned - Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Sound Garden and whole slew of other bands.

    Exactly right :D

Blimey Brit your arguing with some "fellow Dj's" :D , They know all there is to know about music. :D:o

:D Not everything. But I do research. :D:D

    And before I get flamed.

YES, I should of done more on this music poll to start with. I acknowledge I missed quiet a few but I couldn't edit the poll. :D

They were an influence BUT not the start of grunge. They just turned it into pop music. IMHO very hard to say who really started it. SOme would go as far as saying. "It's all because of Elvis or the beatles. Perhaps a tad too generalised but then again saying they were responsible for that genre is. Its stil Rock.

You know your grunge fairly well I must say. Brit.

  14. I see that section of track everyday. Tell you one thing if I could get on it it would make a ###### of a track for my skateboard. LOL Seeing as no tracks are laid. Its Sooooo long.

  15. WHen we use to live on 22 Sukhumvit my wife use to go ballistic at the sight of them. Far as she is concerned they should be in the jungle. I get her point of view though.

Crazy drivers + baby elephants. Not a good combo. Let alone adding the suiside motorbike taxis.

Proper reserves or the jungle is where they should be.

She theatened to call the cops once but just got really upset instead.

  16. "House (all genres), Trance,  Techno,   Tech House,  Drum'n'Bass,  Rave,  Hip Hop, Garage"

Is there a difference between these styles? :o

Just ask any Dj that plays in the club. SOme get mighty upset when peeps can't tell the difference. LOL Heard peeps say its all techno. Hmm, been running clubs for 10 years you get to hear and see alot. Nowadays there are peeps who are diehard for one style or another. Again each to his own. I have had D'n'B nights, rave nights and progressive nights. Each has its own crowd. WHen I owned my hotel it was live jazz on Friday night and Pop music on Sat night.

I suppose I really shud of put an all of the above and a not mentioned section.

I prefer jazz and progressive rock. Love Frank Zappa! :D

Catholic girls scream when they cum....

    Titties and beer

Ah. Old Frank. A legend that man.

I agree about Zappa. Also some great 70s funk never goes a stray.

  17. Just a quick note for those of you that didn't go it was a good night, the bar is really nice and you can't go wrong with the price.

Also good tunes, nice one Carl.

Hope to see a few more people there next time.

    Withnail

Yes, it was a good night. Some TV peeps in and out all night. Once I get behind those steel wheels I feel at home. LOL.

Nice posse by the way Ben. :D

This week there is a guy from Amsterdam playing tech house I believe.

I'll be back after my short visit to Aust driving the wheels again with some fresh tunes. Mind you tho., I did play some Pop that did seem to work. :o

  19. On top of the recent natural disasters this problem down south really doesn't help with tourism. Sure it is down south but when tourists are thinking of going on holiday I think they would see it as just a problem.

So many things to make tourists think twice of holidaying to the land of smiles. Sad really.
