    Next time you go for an extension get a re-entry permit at the same time, will be valid for the full year of the extension and you will be good to go at any time.

    Had a shipment sent via DHL, after it arrived they sent me an email saying it would only be delivered after I paid them customs and VAT charges

    One day we will laugh about back in the day when we used to have to go in person to immigration to renew an extension, but as you say, not in this life.

    VFS works on the "up to six weeks" principle so that you are pleasantly surprised when it turns up three weeks later and you are suitably impressed at such an efficient service.

    Thanks for your concern and if you are in the Isaan neck of the woods you will know it has gone to the other extreme with regular deluge and plenty of standing water in the nearby fields. As that well-known Isaan scribe. once said...... Alls well that ends well.
