Sabai Guest House (foreign owned).
0890980250.
500THB/night along the main road near the market/7-11.
Thanawat Mansion (Thai).
038-436023.
350THB.night near Sukhumvit. Often full.
The town's newest section has some modern accommodations and restaurants/cafes. By now, I would not be surprised if there rooms there too.
Just outside of town is Man-goes guest house on the road to the big Buddha mountain. Quiet and run by a Thai friend who is very diligent and no nonsense. This will not happen:
ie:
You: There's a live crocodile in my room, the water is off, and the aircon doesn't work.
Hotel: Mai Pen Rai. Man come fix next week.

The Pattaya City Expats club usually runs a visit there with reserved seats in the stands with large fans. I went with them last year and we really got VIP treatment and free buses/lunch all from TAT. Forget the dates though but you can subscribe to their newsletter so you will be in the know on this and other current events.

Maybe he didn't lose it but threw the card away??

I am a 9 year Thai student. Mostly self taught from You Tube and the classroom too. It's very accurate that the way Thai is taught in school is not the Thai spoken on the streets. Sure you might turn a few heads if you can speak royal Thai. The real word is MAI PEN RAI but who doesn't say MAY-BA-LAI? The correct word for "pardon?" is ARAINA. But who doesn't say ALAINA?

I ride a bicycle every day. Other than songthaews stopping abruptly to pick up passengers, the other drivers are very respectful kinda like people tend to behave around handicapped people.

Go visit a national park and you'll find the same thing at the governmental level.

I peeked into CaWow Pattaya today and I was wondering if they owners cannot retrieve their equipment or does anyone think they'll re-open in one way or another on the same spot either a new entity or CaWow?

My employee did not do their job at 09:00 as promised. I'm receiving many applications but will I find quality? People are quite happy to accept the job at the advertised rate but will they do it?

Tip 1: When you speak with the doctor, tell him/her you wish to buy your meds outside the hospital.
Tip 2: Get a membership with Faschino pharmacy (3 branches but the biggest next to city hall on north Pattaya road). Mine was free for whatever reason and enjoy very healthy discounts. They also can make up bulk orders.
Failing that, a friend claims the pharmacy on floor G at Central is inexpensive.
Tip 3: NEVER buy your meds at the hospital when avoidable.

Perhaps you should speak with the Thai Visa sponsor, Walen School.

I want to have an employee doing repetitive office work for 6 hours per day from their home. Not sure how much to pay per 6 hours.
200 baht?
300 baht?
400 baht?

Ran into one of the CaWow regulars today who's now training up at Universal (4000 THB/year). He claims many CaWow members are there now until something better comes along. He claims True Fitness may take over CaWow.

It's pretty much always been this way and it always will be. As usual in Thailand, asking why and complaining are useless. Didn't you know? So you just have to be prepared w/ light jacket or at least long-sleeve shirt and undershirt.
Often the sound can be too loud as well, so you also need to carry earplugs. Carrying earplugs at all times here is a good idea, BTW. Surprising how often they come in handy.
A lot of good Thai advice in just a few lines. Bravo!
Earplugs are on me at all times. Indispensable in most massage shops. If blindfolded, you wouldn't know if you were in a massage shop or kindergarten.

- BUT at least its a proper building, unlike the existing place on Buakaho and the tent.
Yes, it's a definite plus to at have a building. Sport World (aka plastic tent gym) had a lot of potential. It could have been a great gym.
Does anyone know how long it will be before he opens this amazing new gym on Soi Buakhao? Is there equipment in there yet?
OK, so I will answer my own question..
Went down there last night and had a very good look around.
If only he had all his good equipment in one well laid gym. There's plenty of good stuff amongst the bad but it spread out across town.
Tropo, you just saved me some $$. Thanks for that review.
A friend asked Tony's only marketing guy, if he could have a tour of the premises and the received reply was an insult! I mean, literally an insulting comment.
I'm giving Tony's entire operation a wide berth, his rude employees, and will stick to my diet, hill climbing, and cycling until something better comes along.
Once again, thank you Tropo!

Bring your towel ! Where is this gym ?

Quite a few people have mentioned that so and so is moving from managing one bar to another. I could care less. All I care about is the music volume/quality, temperature of the drinks, and the staff/service.
But I know others who frequent the soi LK metro area often who claim they only visit a particular bar based on their relationship with the owner/manager. "Where everybody knows your name" is a big deal to them...
You?

If any Thai wishes to go with me at 20:00 for 11 fights (Thais and foreigners), please send me a message with your phone number.

I was at The Avenue today. It's above 20 but certainly not by much. I wore a long shirt.
