  1.    There's going to be a lot more of this happening. I seen 3 buildings in Pattaya under construction that I would not ever go into for my own safety.[attachment=278977:IMAG0076.jpg][attachment=278978:IMAG0078.jpg][attachment=278979:OMG1.jpg][attachment=278980:OMG4.jpg][attachment=278981:OMG5.jpg][attachment=278981:OMG5.jpg]

  2.     This story is boring me now. Woman has baby for Australian couple. Twins are born and they only take the healthy one naturally.Woman gets big money for having baby and even more now from donations. OK boring already.

Why not put as much exposure into the story about the poor guy looking for his two daughters who have been kidnapped by their mother. Exposure might help him find his daughters. I wonder is it because the public prefer an Australian couple bashing story and a Thai money grabbing surrogate mothers story than a Thai mother kidnapper story.

  3.   Mum at centre of Down's baby surrogacy row: 'I'll keep him if parents don't want him' Thai surrogate mother rejects offers to adopt her critically-ill son after Australian couple refuses him.

A Thai surrogate mother has declared she will "not give my baby to anybody" and rejected dozens of offers to adopt her six-month-old son after an Australian couple refused to take the boy when they learned he had Down's syndrome.

All of a sudden she has realized that she has a cash cow and doesn't want to part with him.   Thainess!!

  4. Made the comment before........Russia is broke and will fight if they cannot pay.  China will use North Korea to do the nasty with China's oldest enemy Japan.  When the U.S. comes to the aid of Japan then the Chinese will have a legitimate reason to defend its territorial waters in the south china seas. They will claim back Taiwan first, which is almost a feit accompli already.

       Or even a fait accompli

  5. In before the 29 pages of "but my case is different than the hundreds of others asking about the same thing with the same details as me" posts that are sure to follow.

Of those 70k over-stayers last year (and 30k so far this year) I wonder how many are for over-stays of less than 2-3 days ? TAT claims 26.7 million tourist arrivals in 2013, so 70,000 over-stayers would represent about .0026% of that total (a quarter of 1% of the total). Doesn't seem quite the massive problem requiring draconian measures as it sounded before.

If you read the article correctly you will notice that the 70,000 were ''charged'' last year and not that they overstayed. You are reading the 30,000 part correctly and they're the overstayers for this year including Cambodians, Burnese,Laotians, Chinese,Koreans And Falang.

  6. An example I just thought of (something to read) smile.png , I built a Pontiac 400ci V8 engine (1976 block) and upped the HP a lot. After a while it wiped out a couple of bearings. Stripped it down to find a main bearing block web had broke w00t.gif , of course the block was now scrap. Sourced a 1970 400ci block to see that there was more "meat" in that area. Built that up and it is still going strong even with nitrous....thumbsup.gif

You should print this on toilet paper .....really interesting and of course nothing to do with the question!

  7. What I think I love the most about ThaiVisa.com is the general feeling of politeness and civility. It's that warmth here that keeps me coming back.

I've been driving for 28 years - most in Thailand and the US. I've never seen this happen before.

I guess I thought maybe if you were coming home late from the Tiffany show with a new friend wub.png and might have had a few too many you could avoid Ngam Wong Wan / Rattanathibet and save yourself a little trouble.

    Just trying to be neighborly.

So you are doing all you can to keep drunk drivers ON the road?

    Cheers

Most of the drunk drivers in Thailand can't read or speak anything but Thai!
