  1. Only thing I never understood about some Thai-parents, is how they can live with sending their daughters work in GoGo bars - and call them constantly for to have them send more and more money (even after they have built the house and bought the pick-up truck).

How they as parents can do that and live with themselves, I will never understand... Maybe you can ask that? Personally, I would rather work myself to death, than send my daughter into prostitution. But I guess these parents will not be members of that site anyway...

Not really sure but I figure that's an Issan thing

  2. Well, it's official then, with these statistics, Phuket is to be renamed Pattaya 2.

I would like to personally congratulate the BiB and Phuket's influential people for their wonderful administration of the island. Job well done. Keep up the good work.

    Why Pattaya 2 ?

I have never ever been stopped and searched in Pattaya.

You probably don't drive a moped then!

  3. including a traumatic amputation of his left foot below the knee

I believe most feet are below the knee.

You're so smart, sure everyone knows that the foot is below the knee but not all amputations are. An amputation of the foot could also occur above the ankle or if more of the leg is lost it could be below the knee. Think about it and RIP to the victim who was probably rented a high powered motorbike without having to prove he was qualified to ride it.

Wanted suspects: Tran Dano Hoa and Nguyen Thanh

PHUKET: -- Police have issued arrest warrants for two Vietnamese men wanted for breaking into an ATM at Boat Lagoon a month ago and stealing B1.65 million.

The two have been named as Tran Dano Hoa and Nguyen Thanh, both aged 27, but getting them into court may take some time; police said the two are already back in their home country.

Pol Lt Col Prawit Angchuan explained that the investigation zeroed in on the duo after they were filmed by a security camera attempting earlier the same day to break into an ATM in Thalang.

That attempt was unsuccessful, so the two Vietnamese then went to Boat Lagoon where they successfully opened the Siam Commercial Bank ATM using a cutting torch, and made off with the money.

From questioning witnesses and looking at CCTV footage along the way, police tracked them as far as Patong, and were able to identify both.

Immigration officers around the country have been alerted to keep an eye out for the thieves, just in case, but it is believed they left the country through Nong Khai into Laos and made their way home from there soon after the robbery.

Pol Col Sermphan Sirikhong, superintendent of Phuket Town Police, noted that the robbers had been helped by the fact that the alarm on the ATM was not linked to the police but a centralised bank security system, so valuable time had been lost alerting police, allowing the duo to make good their escape.
