^We used to go to watch County on Friday night (when i was 6th form age my dad would drop me off at the pub in Romiley
to meet up with friends for the last hour ) and watch City on Saturday's - my old man reckoned we should help out County by 4 of us going along. Did you get down Edgeley Park as well as Old Trafford?

Yes I went to many county games, I was mates with most of county's top lads, used to drag me to away games with county too.

When United played county at old Trafford in the league cup I went in their end it was all good banter with county leading 2-1 then United scored two late goals to win.

Interesting  that RedNev says back in the 80s there were loads of Liverpool  fans at his school in Bury, about 8 miles from Manchester  town hall .

My school, also about 8 miles away, in the 70s was almost 100% City or ManU fans [i remember  one Leeds fan, and a cockney WHU fan (one of the few non-mancunians in the school)]; i don't  recall ANY liverpool fans. Bury is a little  bit closer to liverpool than my place but were there really loads of Liverpool  fans at his school? How was it at your school Nev?

Remember Gnev is younger than us and in the 80's Liverpool attracted a lot of glory hunters.

My school was I would say mainly United City and County, only other team fans I can remember was one Burnley who turned to city later, one Leeds and one Liverpool.

Hating liverpool is a ManU exclusive is it? As a mancunian Nev you should  know  more than most on here mancunian feelings towards scousers.

In what why did City/City fans suck up to liverpool?

    A very curious post indeed!

Sucked up as of wanting them to beat us, yes us mancs have a long standing history of hating scousers but not until recently blues have come around to us reds way of thinking, I have city mates who have woken up to them.

Loved the end of season with us romping  to a 100 points, Liverpool and Manu losing their finals and emptyhanded, and Spurs...i will be hard to ever have a better run-in.

Lived to this age hating ManU and Liverpool  and haven't self-destructed yet and don't ever think i will.

Funny i thought you felt the same about  your rival  cockeyknee teams; definitely you don't feel that way about liverpool  based on your constant  kiss-ass comments  to the mickey mousers.

When have you lot started to hate Liverpool?, You have always sucked up to them when you was at your level before being bankrolled by a billionaire.

Did you notice you won the league but not one gave a rat's arse, but Us losing a final and Liverpool losing theirs feeds the media for weeks.

As for Spurs I could see them being very bitter about city's financial doping to jump above them and everyone else but I can't see ant bitterness from Spurs a self funded side who have done very well with the resources they have.

That Ramos conspiracy theory again! Titter

The one where Salah grabbed Ramos first and ended up getting hurt Grabbing like that happens every game.

And now they are blaming concussion on the keeper for the loss. ?

Been a fantastic week or so since they got their <deleted> spanked by a better team.

Woman is my bet. And a history of trouble.

They walk off from a quarrel ("unresolved") just to come back next day and shoot you.

In Ban Kok rd. there is the North Eastern Uni and a Technical college.

A granddaughter was at that college for two years and so I know the rd. quite well.

She lived in a girls only dormitory. Access for male forbidden.

Maybe it's my "subjective view" but to me it looked like the overwhelming majority of students were girls 18+.

This was Ban Ped other side of the city.

Martial?  Can't see him staying, can you?

50/50 mate, he was either rested for the final or he has played his last game for us.

Great player but inconsistent at times, maybe that's due to lack of games.

Looking through ManU management eyes on Mourinho:

    1st season - 2 trophies.

2nd season - back up to 2nd and best Premier finish since Fergie left, FA Cup final chance to win it, CL next season.

Stick or twist? An obvious stick isn't it no matter what some fans think of the style of football.

The owners will be absolutely delighted, more money coming in so they can draw the couple of million each they pay themselves each year and the club runs itself without them contributing nowt.

Here you go Nev, get this thread back on track. Your opinion then on who Mourinho will clear out.

He stated no one was leaving but I do not believe that one bit, For a start Carrick is retiring so one wage off the books and a central midfielder will come in, Fellaini has not signed a new contract I am certain he will leave, another midfielder of the books, so two needed to come in.

Has for others we need another striker when Lukaku is out no one can step up and lead the line on his own maybe Griezman will come in, others either Bale or Perisic we need a fast wide winger.

And one more we need replacing is a right fullback Valencia does not cut it for me him being one footed makes him one dimensional and easy to defend against when he moves up to attack nine time out of ten he never gets a cross in and stops and passes back or sideways and if he gets a cross in it hits the first man.

Expect 4/5 in and about the same to leave.

Interesting season ahead with Mourinio's right hand man leaving after 17 years together, I expect Carrick to take the role.

Nev I don't think Yaya was quoting trophies, I think it was about perception and who's king of the Castle now. There was a time not long ago when ManU expected to beat City (City expected it to) and finish above City. In yayas day that has reversed.  That's what I believe he meant.

After winning trophies at cityhe said his greatest moment was scoring against us, Sums City up no matter what you win you have to bring us into it, means more getting one over on us than winning a trophy?.

  11. FCSo Yaya is leaving and all he can talk about is us, how he came to City to put us in city's shadow, well in our worst period in 30 years included since the city take over here is the trophy count. ?

    United:

    Premier League: 08/09, 10/11, 12/13
    FA Cup: 15/16
    League Cup: 08/09, 09/10, 16/17
    Europa League: 16/17

    Total: 8 trophies

    Liars:

    Premier League: 11/12, 13/14, 17/18
    FA Cup: 10/11
    League Cup: 13/14, 15/16, 17/18

    Total: 7 trophies

That’s some shadow we’re in. Our shittst decade for the best part of 30 years and we’ve still outshone them.

i will just add we could add a fa cup to that too.

Yes, You know we would not have to play with ten men and have a ample replacement in Romero the Argentinian national keeper.
