    I agree, 2-2.75% this year and maybe 5-7% next year. This years tourism will bring some respite , but next year - providing the airlines return in full - will atleast double this years GDP

    I'd have given you a 100% dis-approval. I guess your question pond was a bit shallow. I have no issues with people wanting to smoke it - half way up a mountain in a weed resort - just not next door to me and my family.

    You can hide pretty well in the world with 80 million baht, though looking at them I think they'll pop up when the money runs out pretty soon

    Whattaloada nonsense - he's been predicting 7-10 all year, and now the 'initial prediction' is 4-7 million less than the initial prediction ! (actually it was 13,000,000 at the start) Just means he can say 'whatta guy I am, I can do miracles, see even foreigners love me' !

    Yes, they look more like cheap market buying and 711 dinning tourists than high rollers to me, that got a cheap deal on a holiday.

    Think people seem to be missing the fact that a 70 year old man was still having to work as a repairman on a roof rather than relax with his pension in old age

    Long as they do not stand still - or dress as trees, road supports or road signs - they will be fine. Thais seem to hit more stationary things than moving ones
