That's a stopgap.
For me it isn't

I don't need to "try to not make the mistake..." as I've neither assumed nor suggested that my experience would be satisfactory to all.
I've simply relayed my experience. It's for others to decide whether or not to follow that experience.

Using mobile phone as a router is a stopgap, no matter which way you look at it.
Fine, if you say so it must be true.
I'll just ignore my own experience of it not being a stopgap, as if it was all a dream...

I'll clarify my statement.
I put it on charge as necessary then take it off charging as I would do if just using it as a phone.
The point I'm making is that I've been doing this for years without issue. It works perfectly. It's not a stopgap for me.

I often use my mobile phone's hotspot function as my only home wi-fi for all my home devices, TV, laptops etc. for prolonged periods and have never experienced any issues doing so. When I'm travelling for weeks, staying at hotels, I'll use it as my only connection for the laptop. Just need to keep it on charge.
Additionally, I've found that tethering my phone via usb cable generates a consistently higher speed connection than via hotspot.
Just tested it again
Hotspot - 29Mbps
Tethering - 45Mbps

As you're using the bridge for leisure I'd consider installing kickboards along the sides to prevent stuff rolling off.
No thats the whole fun with it. Nothing makes thais laugh mor than when somebody fall off something
Nah, you misunderstand, I didn't mean the handrail and uprights to stop people falling off I meant the low level "kickboard" to stop stuff rolling off.

Thanks for posting as requested. It's always good to see developments. And I'm pleased you went with wood decking.

My two-penne'th.
Rustins danish oil's always been my go to product for finishing my projects including my beautiful 25 year old Iroko hardwood kitchen worktop which I recently sanded down and re-oiled. Not sure if it's available in LOS but similar should be.
Check out this guy's video. Give him a few minutes to warm up.
A photo of the item would be helpful.

Well, that turned out to be painless. Done in a few minutes.
SImply got my Yahoo account to generate a password key, opend up Outlook which was waiting for the key, et voila, my Yahoo email account mailboxes and all subfolders appeared underneath my several Outlook acccount mailboxes in the mailbox pane.
The only other thing I had to do was to click on each mailbox and subfolder in turn for Outlook to download their respective emails.

Appreciate the responses guys.
I'll report back to confirm either stunning success or miserable failure!

Now that I know I can achieve this using Outlook do you think there is a particulalry compelling reason for using an additional piece of software as Thunderbird?
-
Come to think of it I do now recollect using Thunderbird to access my Yahoo emails many, many years ago.
As I use Outlook anyway I thought I'd see if Outlook could be used for the same purpos and I came across this.
Connect your Yahoo Mail account to Outlook to manage your emails
How to Set Up Yahoo Email on Microsoft Outlook
What do you think?
-
I now mostly use Outlook email accounts but for so many years have used, and continue to use, my Yahoo email account.
I've been meaning to attempt to back-up so many times but every time I start looking into it I get cold feet for some reason.
Any views on the best way to achieve this task would be most welcome.

I found that method earlier but assumed that it simply disabled the keyboard volume keys so didn't actually try it.
Your post prompted me to try it before responding to you and, lo and behold, it doesn't disable the keyboard keys but does disable the pop-up whilst retaining just the slider section.
Good stuff

Does anyone know whether or not the pop-up volume banner (as below) can be prevented from showing whilst still able to continue using the keyboard volume keys?
Or, perhaps, be made to only show the slider section to the left.
Cheers

We have more than 30 degrees in celsious differense here, so everything will live a life on its own. Especially the steel. Im tending more and more to wood, and the local wood here have been on the oldest houses for more than 50 eyars some places, and will start looking for a demolution project for the wood. Also look around in Thaiwatsadoo and see what they have there.
Whatever material you decide to go with, which from your post wood is the most likely choice, please do post an image of the finished product.

That is great food for termites.
5 hours ago, sometimewoodworker said:That wood used in building in Thailand is almost always termite food, so a bad choice of material. It is extremely expensive to get wood that is termite resistant and wood treatment is limited in its effectiveness and not guaranteed longevity especially outside.
But if you want to feed termites it’s your call.
If you want to allow your level of risk aversion to deter you from using what you might otherwise desire to use "it's your call".
Me, I'll stick with my chosen aesthetic, accept the reduced level of risk in using treated wood and address the issue of termite attack should it ever arise.

Wasn' really suggesting to use any particular style of bridge just expressing my personal preference to use wood hence the included link to other styles. ????

I'm not sure what exactly is your point with that one liner post and I'd rather not second guess.
So I'd genuinely be grateful for clarification.

Same network on both phones? I had the same behaviour from my 4G router. Constant disconnections with AIS. Changed to DTAC; no disconnections.
Yep, same network on both phones suggesting it's a phone issue.
Anyway, some good has come out of it. On another forum someone suggested the obvious (so obvious it didn't occur to me ????) alternative of usb tethering instead of wifi hotspot.
Well, I tried it and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was it stable but the download speed increased roughly three-fold to 35Mbps.
Result!
Would still like to find out why the disconnection issue is happening though.

Aargh..spoke too soon. It's reverted.
Ok, at least now I have something to trial and play around with.

Presumably because, just as you are, I'm a member of this forum and perfectly entitlted to respond, just as did you.
Likewise thank you for expressing your appreciation
And i'm equally actually not at all sure why you, mistakenly, believe I got worked up.
Please be assured that I'm not at all upset.
