Careful Pravda, you don't wanna end up behind bars for saying a Thai girl has small boobs! ????

This was either a profoundly stupid move by the guy or a carefully crafted plan that went awry. I'm going with the latter and I'll make a wild guess dude had something to hide from the Thai authorities.

Maybe the girl was trying to reclaim the origins of the symbol. It is, after all, 12,000 years old and for all but a handful of years by the Nazis, was and is a symbol which depicts peace and goodness.

Yeah! And this time the taxi driver is returning a set of new brake pads that a truck driver forgot in the back seat!

As a Canadian, we tend to think very highly of Her Majesty, and value her sage advice. In my opinion, she doesn't stick her nose in often enough, but when she does, she's always brilliant.
Long live the Queen!
Charles....meh.

And yet another group of confident Chinese swimmers. Reminds me of Koreans. They'd flock to the beach everyday in the summer wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts with gigantic sunbonnets on their heads slathered with sunblock to the point that they looked like they were wearing clown makeup sporting the obligatory lifejacket, plop down on the sand 10m from the water and get no nearer than that, except for those brave few who would wade in up to their ankles.

That guy in the picture looks like he isn't worried in the slightest. Just another day in the jungle.
My wife and I were driving along in Thailand quite some time ago and we stopped at a rural roadside market. No one paid much attention to our Piccanto until they saw a falang get out. Then the scrambling was incredible as Thais all around grabbed "things" and hid them away. I took out my camera and the cacophony of "No photo!" followed by waving arms and busier hiding actions was hilarious. I got glimpses of creatures I'd never seen before.

I've been in Laos for 13 years. Thailand had it beat on most fronts for a long time, but as it seems to be back-stepping while Laos is progressing, Thailand no longer has the lead. In my humble opinion anyway.
I just wish we had ocean front and beaches.......

Truly, if all that happened was a crotch grab, I'd let it go and just get up and leave. Messing with a Thai guy can only go from bad to worse to worst, and usually very quickly. They are cowards in the extreme. Thai guys consider a fair fight to be 10-1 with the 1 unarmed and the 10 holding clubs or knives.

In the west an action like this would be classed as physical assault and a criminal offence.
Heck, in the West threatening to cut a kids hair would be grounds for dismissal.

Does anybody know if the guy actually did try to smuggle drugs or not. I've read a lot about this but nowhere have I read he was caught with drugs. It's all about the death sentence.

It's not clear from the article that the guy who ordered the murder on Facebook was arrested or not. He should be prime suspect #1.

This 50 is missing a zero or two, don't you think?

I'm 58 and never had kids. I went for a vasectomy when I was 18. The doctor threw me out lol saying I'd change my mind. I didn't. I went back at 30 and got clipped. I have never regretted. Not for a microsecond.
Just reading your post it's clear that you don't want kids. Don't have them. They destroy freedom and give nothing but headaches, hassles, and crap in your life. They're also expensive.
I cannot understand why anyone would want kids. I simply don't get it.
Be free brother.
Choose life, not a life sentence.

As a Canadian I'm happy for the girl. As well, as a Canadian I am disgusted with the government of the Great White North because there are, by its own estimates, 2250 homeless vets wandering the streets living in fear and poverty. Where's the freaking government for them?????

A nice story about the outrageous honesty of Thai people. Here's another one.
Many years ago when I was visiting the Land of Smiles I dropped a 5 baht coin in the departure lounge just before I boarded the airplane. A Thai janitor who was cleaning nearby, picked it up. He didn't have time to catch up to me so he went online and bought a ticket for the flight and got on the plane. Fortunately he had his passport with him. He finally caught up with me near immigration in Canada and gave me back my 5 baht. I was so impressed I gave him all my Thai money I had left in my pocket, 15 baht, plus I gave him the 5 baht coin back. He was so grateful. He waied for a full 27 minutes. Then we parted. He went back to Thailand and I went to my mia noi's house.
It was a wonderful and memorable trip.

As I understand it, this is only about visa on arrival. It is not about visa waiver when crossing borders, which until recently was limited to two per callendar year. The cabinet made the decision to change this but no one is sure whether it has been implemented. Any news?
To the best of my knowledge it has not been implemented. I live in Laos and with the start of the new year I have my 2 free trips in the bank, as it were. After that, it's off to the Thai embassy with 1000 baht for my next trip. Not likely.

Well the extent of tinting on windows here cut's down night vision when driving a lot,to be honest i have thought of investing in night vision goggles.
This is a very valid point. My wife is constantly griping about getting our windows tinted darker. I refuse and I tell her I want people to be able to see me. There's a reason why very darkly tinted windows are illegal in many Western countries. They are inherently more dangerous to both the driver of the vehicle and others trying to see the driver and figure out what they are going to do.

FBI finds no motive for Las Vegas shooting, closes probe

Regardless of whether or not the FBI found a motive, I'd like to know how he managed to get that weaponry into his room without raising any eyebrows and why he was allowed to fire for 13 minutes before anyone rushed his room.
