  1. And here in Koh Kong (Cambodia) Hundreds of Thai fishing boats coming in offloading their catch instead of in Klong Yai (Trat province) and they are planning to construct a new pier for all the Thai boats! Big progress, yeah sure.

Most of those boats have Cambodian skippers and crew. Just another port to use!

They must have learned Thai very fast, they speak very god Thai for being Khmer.

  2. Just moved my factory from Thailand to Cambodia, a company limited with 2 work permits, 2 one year multiple entry visas , import-export license and all tax registrations was 2800 USD and its 100% in my name (with out any f---cking nominees and 90 day reporting and all other BS I had running my factory during the years in Thailand) . Labor is 128 USD per month.

You can set up the busieness cheaper without import-export licenses as a general partnership, but I need them.

  3. "This unclear understanding also seemed to reflect in other issues, such as Thailand's aviation standard being degraded by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the European Union's warning to the country's fishery industries over illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing"

    unclear understanding???

WHAT IS UNCLEAR? The Burmese slaves on the boats are actually happy to be beaten and killed by the Thai crew or what?

  4. "The Great Firewall of Thailand" and now "electronic superhighway network" can see now in what direction this country is heading and I don't like it.

"Thailand land of the Free", sure. More like "land of big brother is watching you" now

Thailand doesn't mean "land of the free". I wish I ha 100 baht for every one that told me that over the past 30 years

So why don't you contact the Royal Thai embassy in UK ad tell them that they are wrong

Historical Background: There are conflicting opinions as to the origins of the Thais. Three decades ago it could be said with presumed certainty that the Thais originated in Northwestern Szechuan in China about 4,500 years ago and later migrated down to their present homeland. However, this theory has been altered by the discovery of remarkable prehistoric artifacts in the village of Ban Chiang in the Nong Han District of Udon Thani Province in the Northeast. These include evidence of bronze metallurgy going back 3,500 years, as well as other indications of a far more sophisticated culture than any previously suspected by archaeologists. It now appears that the a Thais might have originated here in Thailand and later scattered to various parts of Asia, including some parts of China. Siam is the name by which the country was known to the world until 1939 and again between 1945 and 1949. On May 11, 1949, an official proclamation changed the name of the country to "Prathet Thai", or "Thailand", by which it has since been known. The word "Thai" means "free", and therefore "Thailand" means "Land of the Free."

  5. "Pongsuk suggested that in order to access the Internet, registration should be required with the use of the 13-digit citizen identification number. He said tough checks should be conducted to ensure that people who posted messages on the Internet were actually the ones who register.

"You may use false names to post messages, but your ID number reveals your identity," he said."

The faster they can kick out this group of morons the better for the country.

  6. Earlier this week the government said 52 million tourists passed through Swampy airport over the past 12 months.

The figures they throw around are meaningless.

They see tourists as nothing more than a cash cow. Its the only part of the Thai economy that works.....taking money from foreigners.

    That's 6000 (almost) an hour 24/7. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So they must land planes almost every second minute at Swampy than, very impressive!
