In theory you should be able to present yellow book etc to get an "initial" licence, the ID number then appears on your license and yellow book would be used for subsequent renewals, However, if an original license was obtained using a passport (PP No on license) and you are renewing, then a yellow book probably wouldn't be accepted (its not the original ID shown)

I had to renew my passport a couple of years ago. My current license that will expire next month has my old passport number on it.

My old and new passport have a stamp from imagration transferring old to new and new from old. Will this be a problem? Or can they update the new license with current info?

A certificate of residency is done at the Muang Thong Thani where 90 day reports are also done now.

I assume you are doing 90 day reports since they are required to apply for the certificate.

You will need this form completed, Application For Certificate Of Residency48.26 kB · 1,247 downloads

I always do 90day report online. I never have gone to this new place.

What else will I need to get a certificate of residency from imagration? Copies of lease passport pages???

I love the first sentence below the asterisks where it says "......the Office of Income Security Programs has temporarily suspended mailing of 2020 FEQ...."

I guess using the "temporarily" word is SSA's way of saying there will be no FEQ requirement for 2020.

SSA just can't bring themselves to flat-out say, Due to COVID-19 the SSA is not mailing any FEQs for 2020 and beneficiaries are not required to submit a FEQ for 2020...benefits will not be suspended if SSA does not obtain a FEQ from the beneficiary for 2020.

Or just similar wording along those lines which "unambiguously" states FEQs for 2020 have been cancelled but will resume in 2021...and beneficiaries do not have to worry about mailing-in a FEQ for 2020.   Stay safe...wear a mask.

I wish they would just say that too. When I emailed mine they basically said ssa hasn't sent out yet but wait till later in the year.

    The year is almost over!

I was wondering about call-in ordering... Pick up the phone, tell them what you want, they tally the order and give you a price, then send it out for delivery and payment...  Just like they would with an online order.

They could even do the payment via bank card over the phone, but probably don't want to entrust the phone answering staff with writing down and process telephone bank card charges.

Just new wording from the Manila office.

I have been going to the image.png.3512330747a86b72091b7a6f13c5d1c4.png ( https://www.ssa.gov/coronavirus/ ) for months and there is zero info about SSA-7162 forms on it. Just checked and their still is no info about them on it. I have  looked on various pages on the SSA site and found nothing about them.

When you sent yours did they accept it with a reply?

Mine was replied with wait till sometime at the end of the year for the actual form to be mailed out.

I sent a screen shot earlier that refers to the website with no information.

Sent my SSA -7162 by email to Manila today. Completed it using Adobe, printed it, signed it, scanned it and saved as a PDF file to send them.

Waited 60 days from when I normally would of gottein it in early June.

Got the auto reply so will wait and see if I get another one from them.

Being the pdf doesn't have our info on it like the one that is mailed... I think has barcode...

How did you fill it? Did you fill in your ssn? Because that line says for ssa only.

  7. "As of April 17, the government has already postponed the lottery twice in view of the coronavirus situation.

Those who had bought tickets for the scheduled April 16 lottery will receive a refund"

So the old tickets from The April 1 drawing are no good? Where do one get a refund?

It should never show pending that long unless the office it was submitted to does not process them. There are still a very few offices that refuse to process them and only accept reports in person (no mailed in reports as well).

I know these are different times with imagration.

But I've always got a result online with in 24-hours for the last few years.

What do I do if my current one expires before new one is still pending?

This is only the 3rd full working day since you did it.

Just be patient and wait for it to be done.

    Thank you.

Hoping that it will be approved before my current one is expired. Definitely want to avoid imagration office like it's the plage no pun intended!

I did notice on their website they changed the rules and terms doing online. Use to be 15 to 7 days before expire now 15 to  1 day of expired
