I am calling BS on this. You do not encounter Immigration on domestic flights, you don't even need a passport to fly.

I think you missed the point - or at least the point that I picked up…… Those multiple doorways require the person, with those options, to have the wit to make appropriate choices. Such a person would not pass through “ALL those open doorways “. Just one new doorway with a surge of money, and no wit, can be a doorway too many.
