  1. They are cute souvenirs and keep your vaccination records in one place. They have no useful purpose if you have Morprom and/or paper evidence of vaccination. I only got one because the office was next door in Buriram hospital.
  2. Whoever set the rule has clearly never married........ ....or 'galivanted around' as 50+ year old retiree.
  3. ????........and Fat Boy will not be wrong....... If Photoguy21 uses an agent for a marriage extension then he ticks all the boxes (for doing it himself) and just pays the agent to do the legwork.
  4. New one on me. I thought the IO could only sign off on retirement. ....ask Paul on Sunday - he will know...
  5. I wasn't aware that agents do extensions based on marriage.
  6. You said "it would be just as quick to do it yourself". It wouldn't - fact. Speed and convenience is a factor in favour of using an agent. Cost is not.
  7. Nobody cares! Stunning contribution.
  8. Whilst I agree with you, your argument is flawed if you think that there is more time involved in using an agent. There is not. "Not enough time/effort is saved to warrant paying agents fees" would clinch it for me. (if you have the above evidence)
  9. Not a cat in hell's chance of directly opening an account online. An agent might get it done for you.
  10. I have had my Forza 300 for a couple of years and I like it. As an overweight 60+ year old it is the perfect bike for cruising locally at 80-100 kph. It has sufficient acceleration to get away from traffic lights swiftly and the power makes overtaking pretty comfortable. Slight issues with stationary weight but I have managed to deal with most situations (mainly by not creating a situation!). I am unlikely to embark on touring to any great extent and my journeys out of town are 20/30km. I do the occasional light shopping trip so Bobbers like the Rebel 300 are probably out. Friends have said that the latest Forza is not as good to drive as the older version......more importantly the missus doesn't like the Forza and would favour a different bike that she could get her hands in 2/3 years time. What else should I be looking at? The ADV 350?, the XMax?
  11. I am visiting Siem Reap later this month and I was disappointed to see that one of my favourite restaurants (Olive restaurant) has not reopened. I was wondering how much has reopened in Siem Reap and what the current vibe is. I understand from the huge drop in visitors to Angkor Wat that tourist numbers remain decimated.
  12. Never had a knee problem until I slipped on my daily walk last year and banged my right knee. After a week of pain I was able to resume walking although I would get occasional restrictive pain. The pain has become worse over the last 6 months and is currently affecting quality of life and daily activities (walking, bowls etc) Last month I visited a doctor at the naval hospital in Sattahip and an X-Ray was taken. The doctor prescribed Celebrex 200mg (NSAID) plus a muscle relaxant. I completed the prescribed course of tablets (which I think helped) but as want to try to avoid being tablet dependent I did not get a repeat prescription. After a week or so I bought Diclofenac from a local pharmacy to take on an 'as and when needed' basis. The Sattahip doctor said if I did not see an improvement I should consult a knee specialist. I would welcome advice from anyone with a similar conditions, and advice on the options available to me.
