  1. Shantaa Resort restaurant has a view over a pier like that.....
  2. Looks like Koh Kood.
  3. yes FACT........................nobody solely on state pension will have a pension great than the individual tax allowance
  4. Wrong assumption.............................otherwise the state pension will always be covered by tax allowance.
  5. There is an obvious flaw in the system that DWP cannot pick up those people with 'frozen' pensions.
  6. In two cases friends are paying around GBP 10 p.m. more
  7. Rubbish. Everything is taxable. The state pension is deducted from the personal allowance and is the residual allowance is applied to private pensions etc.
  8. A few people have recently received a revised Notice of Coding which increases the amount of tax paid in the next tax year. This change in coding is solely as a result of the expected increase in state pensions. Many expats living in Thailand do not receive the annual increase in pension so, in these circumstances, will be paying too much tax. Check your coding if you receive a new advice and take it up with HMRC if you think you are affected.
  9. Rubbish! Should read, in most cases, "whose extra curricular relationships ability involve a paid encounter on XYZ"
  10. Be careful you don't fall off that high chair............ I like to visit prostitutes, but I am most certainly not a desperate loser. How does that fit with your stereotyping?
  11. Do you have a life?..............
  12. You seem like a bored brainless troll................so I guess you speak from experience,
  13. Just under the bridge.............................
  14. Agents (mine at least) can renew 3 months early - but, as Dr Jack said, it doesn't change your renewal date.
  15. Absolutely yes. My online report was rejected following my return on 30th December. At Jomtien I was told that they want the first 90 day report, after returning to Thailand, to be done in person. That was NOT the case when I returned last July.
  16. I think you missed his point.........
  17. Staff at Jomtien Immigration told me that they like us to report in person for the first time after returning from overseas. Absolutely pointless IMO.
  18. Spoken with the confidence of a man who has been there, done it.
  19. I suffered two rejections. I returned to Thailand on 30th December and reported online yesterday for a due date of 28th March. My extension of stay runs to 19th June.
  20. Shame they were crooks. Presumably that doesn't bother you?
  21. Of course he can ask the question here - and receive a definitive "Yes".......Thais don't need 6 months on arrival....they can enter on an expired Thai passport.
