  1. Which was useless. Your post was disingenuous, as usual.
  2. You don't have to attend in person, you can appoint a third party to submit and then collect the renewal.
  3. Nonsense. Bangkok is a cosmopolitan city; the census showed that it is home to 567,120 expatriates from Asian countries (including 71,024 Chinese and 63,069 Japanese nationals), 88,177 from Europe, 32,241 from the Americas, 5,856 from Oceania and 5,758 from Africa. Migrants from neighbouring countries include 216,528 Burmese, 72,934 Cambodians and 52,498 Lao.[80] In 2018, numbers show that there are 370,000 international migrants registered with the Department of Employment, more than half of them migrants from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.[78]
  4. My apologies, I didn't know that, I thought Citibank processed all payments. Something else I have learned today....thanks.
  5. Probably the most pointless comment on this forum today. It has absolutely no context. Of course there has always been immigration and emigration. The issue IMO is that the mismanagement of Immigration policy by successive governments. That ineptitude has only been exaggerated by the woke reaction to handling the illegal immigrants. It has all got out of control; can you imagine Thailand having a city that is 60% occupied by non-indigenous Thais? The demographic imbalance will inevitably result in a significant increase in emigration. So. as immigration increases (particularly illegals) so too will emigration. The result will be in line with what a London cabbie told me over 40 years ago - "The English will be a minority in England within 50 years".
  6. I think this law is pointless and ineffective. Those who need drink will get it - and as many are aware, the village shop is virtually 24/7. For a country with 40m visitors a year the law has a negative impact on tourism. Long gone are the days when I dismissed it as 'cultural' or 'it is their country, up to them'. It is simply a big stick, one size fits all approach that is unintelligent. Prohibition has never worked. Drinking should be left to the individual (within reason) to decide upon and if you are, say, Buddhist and Buddhism says you shall not drink on specific days - then be a Buddhist. For those who say it is a mark of respect, on the part of foreigners, to adhere to this pathetic law I say nonsense. Respect has to be earned and prohibitive dictates like this do not earn respect.
  7. Not sure if it is a factor but DWP pension payments are processed through Citibank. It is most likely that your occupational pensions are paid from UK banks.
  8. If you can't see it already, no amount of tuition from me will help you.
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 50/100 My Time 179 seconds
  10. "Properly registered hotels are, however, exempted from the ban under the Hotels Act".
  11. You do understand thatmarkets go up.....and down - don't you? It's not WISE's fault that your pensin wasn't paid yesterday (when the rate went UP). Change if you don't like them...............................I won't be.
  12. No it doesn't. A stamp has not been required for at least 5 years. Don't take it from me, email IPC.
  13. I think it was about 5 years ago that DWP advised me that a stamp was not required - it is a shame they didn't update their stationery at that time. Digital registration and annual online confirmation should replace paper versions of this process.
  14. I think that I am right in saying that the registered post only tracks the letter as far as arrival in the UK - there is no 'proof of receipt' in Wolverhampton. I will happily stand corrected on that one if anyone knows othyerwise. I posted a witnessed Life Certificate (NOT STAMPED 😉) for a friend last week and the local post office said that 'normal' airmail was not available, only registered. I have never used registered and I knew that friends elsewhere used standard airmail last month - so I got the missus to try a different post office and she was successful.
  15. Irrespective of the form MD, the stamp has not been required for many years. In the 'official stamp box' I add my own contact details and passport number (even that is unnecessary). I witness 10/12 each year and I don't have a stamp.
  16. Do not call me a liar. If you choose not to believe it, then trot on.......... The individual concerned (who I have known for 16 years) also posted about the experience on here.
