zyphodb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well good luck, I'll be waiting for the prices to come down, which'll happen as Thailand slowly gets swamped with imported seeds... -

Thai government urged to reduce defence budget to fund welfare projects
zyphodb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
True but won't happen. This gov in particular doesn't give a flying f%@* about the poor or retired. It'll look after all the gov minions and military, plus the hi so's while keeping the serfs in their place... -
Just about every Thai male smokes in the villages, and quite a lot of women too...

The gov gave a lot of poor people the land that they were squatting on several decades ago. If you are landless poor now, on the wages that they'd get they have no chance of buying even half a rai at nowadays prices...

zyphodb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Ah, but Thailand is the centre of the universe so soft power here doesn't mean the same thing as it does to the rest of the world lol -
The left shoulder IS the inside lane, the "shoulder" is short for hard shoulder, which is always the inside lane, what on earth are you talking about? And I've been driving here, and done a lot of kilometers for ten years exclusively on motorbikes so I actually believe that I do know what I'm talking about, 40 km/hour is very slow which I said was the only safe way to ride in that lane. Doing 5,6 or 700 km rides I'm not prepared to go that slowly, nor I think would anyone else...
