Out here in Isaan, the wage for a days slaving in the fields is 250 Bht, the same as it's been for the last 10 years. Try living on that... -

I think it's a too literal translation of the Thai word Anuban. I work at an Anuban which does have a actual kindergarten of 3-5 year olds but by far the biggest part of it teaches Prathom 1 - 6 which is 6 - 12 year olds. I do agree that they're test crazy, about the only good thing of these online lessons is the fact that they've done away with all the tests...

While I completely sympathise with you, trying to sue this Gov. that's in charge is ludicrous. All that'll happen is you'll either get thrown out all the sooner or you'll end up locked up in the immigrants jail in Bangkok. The only thing to do is to either put 400k in the bank or go to an Agents, bite the bullet and pay over the odds for a visa. If you care about your family and don't have the 400k thats your only option...

Pheu Thai deputy leader hits back at government after criticism
zyphodb replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As it doesn't say what he said I thought it needed quoting. "Pheu Thai Deputy Leader Pichai Naripthapan told Thai Enquirer that he did not care about criticisms coming from the government. Instead the ruling party should consider why they lost the by-election and admit that their popularity is fading. “Our victory shows that the people crave for democracy, which the government doesn’t understand,” Pichai said. “The government should introspect and ask itself why it lost the people’s trust instead of criticizing the victors.” Pichai said that the results show the declining popularity of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha and its mismanagement including increased taxes and covid response failures. “The election results show how much people have struggled with this government,” Pichai said."- 6 replies

I will post the result but my visa doesn't run out until the end of April so you'll have to be patient, although I may have more info on 8/3 when my next 90 day comes up as I intend to quiz them about it... -
Changing from non B to non O
zyphodb replied to zyphodb's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Great, so I should be able to go for the 60 day marriage or Thai child option at local immigration without having to cross any borders then? Thanks for the impressively quick reply BTW -
I've been teaching for 5 years at the same school on a non B visa or it's extensions, I'm finishing this April and don't want to leave the country if I can help it. I'm married with children to a Thai, was here on non O marriage visa and extensions for 5 years previously to starting teaching but had to change to a non B for the job as they wouldn't accept marriage visas for working in border provinces allegedly. So now I'm thinking how am I going to change back without leaving the country. I thought a 60 day visa for either visiting Thai wife or Thai child, can I do this at Immigration without leaving? If not, would an agent be able to sort this out without me leaving the country do you think? @Udonjoe mainly...
