  16. Another one trying to dot I's 🤔 Jeremy Hunt, the UK Chancellor, has sparked controversy with his statement that earning £100,000 a year “doesn’t go as far as you might think” for people in his Surrey constituency. Despite criticism for being out of touch, Hunt defended his remarks by emphasizing that people in his area face very high average house prices. He clarified that when you consider mortgage payments, childcare costs, and taxes, even a salary that sounds substantial doesn’t stretch as far as it might seem. The median salary for a full-time worker last year was £34,963, while in Surrey, it stands at £42,00012. Hunt’s comments have ignited debate about the cost of living and the challenges faced by those on higher salaries. While some argue that £100,000 should be sufficient, others recognize the financial pressures caused by housing expenses and other costs. As the UK navigates economic recovery, Hunt has also hinted at further tax cuts, welfare reforms, and efforts to get more claimants back into work. He reaffirmed the commitment to the pensions “triple-lock” policy in the Conservative party manifesto2. In summary, Hunt’s assertion that £100,000 doesn’t go far has sparked discussions about income, expenses, and the realities faced by different segments of the population. Chat What are the average house prices in Surrey? How does this compare to other regions? Is there a solution proposed for these challenges?
  17. It was only a week ago Hunt said it was a struggle to live on a £100k so expect some accountants and judges in the foodbank queue 🤔

  19. Perhaps you could indicate what you think that I'm confused about rather than being so non-specific? I'm not at all confused about his situation. For starters, whatever you think I my condition is, I find it much more interesting that Tidal Wave has not returned with any specifics, at all, to back up his false assertion that I am confused about Surachate's legal position. So, in addition to your "starter" (which suggests that you have more), perhaps you'd like assist that poster with some specifics that do demonstrate my alleged confusion about Surachate? Here I've pasted the part of the thread where you appear to "start making things up" and suggesting all sorts of nonsense try reading it 🤔
  20. Hopeful this <deleted> ends up a kick screamer 🤔
