There is no "perfect" solution to such a problem,

But best solution is:

• Get legitimate by marrying.
• Take the time to get a so-called "marriage visa". (an extension of your stay by marriage to a Thai). This will allow you to stay for one year in Thailand at a time.
• At the same time you get this "marriage visa" get a one year multiple entry re-entry permit for 3900 Baht.
• The re-entry permit is good for the one year period of your "marriage visa" and will allow you unlimited multi entries with that "marriage visa".

You will have ro be careful with getting the required 90 day reporting, and making sure that the marriage visa is renewed every year on time.

But it is possible to do, if you have the sense to make staying with your family and child(ren) your main concern.

It can be done.

Other people have gone through the process, it is possible.

How would somebody on a 30 day rotation be able to get an extension of stay based upon marriage?. It is not feasible.

And why even mention reports of staying longer than 90 days when they would probably never be here that long.

The best option if married is to get a multiple entry non-o visa.

1) you get married...(if you think it is worth it)

2) you make sure you have a bank account on your name only (not on both, wife and husband) with at least 400 000 baths for 2 mouths before you apply for a year extension

3) you apply for a non immigrant o visa in your own country( all visa rules for each countrys are diferent, so check in yours )

4). ..... aleluia you can aply now for a year extension visa based on marriage

5).... be careful immigration is going to visit you in your house , ask your neibers , the chief of the village, what you do, how you are and how much money you have every mounth (absurd but they did it with me this mounth), they ask also people you know from town to sign your declaration too.

1 mounth later you go to get your stamp extension non 0 visa

then ouf......

go to an ambassy and explain what you want to do and then get the right visa.

thats it

in my village (350 people)they could have arrested 70% of the men and 60% of the childrens because here all where betting every day, ...and a guy a know too.

i am not surprised about this sad new! it should happened one day!

i leave since 10 years in thailand, i have a supermarket in a village so i know what people buy and use for kooking. i am sorry when i see what they buy to give to their children or for their on use.....they spend 100 baths (so more money)in a bottle of alcool and only 6 baths in a paquet of cheap nudles like mama .they all get fat because of all grease and sugar they take with that shit food all day.

i dont know also if people try to plant tomatoes or any vegetables in thailand ...but without lots of quimical staff, the insect will eat all before you even can see it .so again a big health problem here with DDT or whatever employed to kill them but product you are going to absorb in a crud meal !thats why out of my house i only eat that cheap market soup who has been kooked for edges and i never take vegetables, so i never had estomac problems

1)- when people say food in thailand is cheap, to me ...sorry... it is wrong! if you want to eat well you need to pay the price as everywhere in the world, wich is normaly quiet expensive in thailand because the good ingredients are coming from outside.

2)- when people say food is good in thailand, to me it is also wrong or perhaps they never ate good food before or they dont know the concept of good food....take out the tipical coconut milk sauce , the chilly and the tipical papaya salade....then tell me whats left.

3)- because the price is so cheap the street ans supermarket food in thailand is made from cheap parts of everything (chicken and pork manly)... to kook they always use the cheapest quimical aditive staff like lotdi, tipalot etc etc and of course the palm oil "oleen " or other brand name ( but the worst for the human health...in europe prohibited!) normaly used at all time until bad test.

the government has really a big problem here with the food and the health of his people.

So where's Pattaya then !

well actually if you are married to a thai you look like a dumm fool, you need to give so many stupid papers to get a year extension visa.... plus interview and controll in your house from immigration that comes too....but with a retirement visa ....man you just need to show the 800 000 baths for 2 mounts in a thai bank and thats it....! easy ..even if you are married with a thai.

what does it mean? that they only want your money.....they dont care about your marriage status....you are nothing to them.!

also, how can they call a visa...non immigrant visa for a person who stay more than a years in thailand without leaving? of course we are immigrants, when we go to another country to live , we always are immigrants.

the name allready is a mistake of language.

these thai people are not prepared in case of a special cases.....you can not cancel a flight just for a bullshit card from a passenger, just bring that guy down to the desk, scheck him for what ever... and let the rest go...thats is! not a big deal just a couple of minutes delate.
