5 years in jail just for not having a work permit seems to me a return to feodal laws and really exagerated when here everybody works in the street legally without paying taxes.

to enter illegally in thailand you need to know the country and borders side , go trough jungle and get help from locals to finally can eat a tom yam kung here otherwise it is impossible.perhaps she overstayed a litle because now it is still winter in russia (-30 degres).......!

it reminds me in europe 25 years ago before the CEE,spain or italy had the same stupid laws regarding foreigners, when germany where i was at that time working in a 5 star hotel had no problem to give stay and work permit to everyboddy at once.THEY where more inteligent they used us to build their country...and become the first again.

it is demonstrated that when a foreigner for example find a work like in thailand or somewhere else ...it is because they need his knowledges otherwise it is more simple and cheaper to get a local one.

especially in the tourism industry where the language is so important,in thailand still today........you can not discuss with anyboddy.

noboddy understand you in any kind of language.it is terrible.i speak myself 6 languages and i have to speak thai to get understand here.

the thai government shoul really consider to give work permit to people who are necessary in a business with foreigner, not only for a french chef or a top hotel manager.

well no suprise to read this.because ...this year i spend f...................ing 8 hours in the imigration office to get my dossier ready.

they also denied my photos because i was standing with my wife in front of our resort logo.....we leave there since 5 years but this year we can not show the logo.as i did not bring the tax paper of the resort i can not show the logo.(i pay all my taxes but they dont need it for my non 0 visa) so i had also to come back home the same day,make new photos ,go again to the bank because the paper was made from the day before not the same day i present all the documents at the police (last year 3 days difference was accepted)and now ...its already 12.00 noon...so go eat and come back at 1 pm.the officer take all my papers and asked me to write and sign a papers explaning wy i dont have children with my wife.(i have very good reason but i am not going to tell them )write everything in her computer ...it took edges ...she made 3 more errors counting days,my passport with different dates etc etc . paper coming and going back from one table to another .....because in thailand one is making the dossier and the rest check what the first one did previously.

like this for sure everything is ok.

as i speak always thai with them ,they also told me that my dossier is going to kao lak and that the agent there is going to make sure that everything is going to be the way the new immigration chief officer ordered to be and that everything has to be "tuk tong"(100% ok).....incredible....it is ridiculous the way they andle the immigration.they treat us really like stupid and like animals.we are only farang garbage for them and they dont make any diffrence beetween austria or australia because they dont even know where it is on a map or what language they speak .....in my opinion we have to go...all of us ..

.i will anyway ,my wife knows this and she 'll comme with me...this country doesnt deserve us neither our money !sorry for the goods

in my opinion dont trust any comentair from internet or lawyer.

1) just go to the imigration office and ask them exactly what kind of paperwork they need for your case.

Insist in getting the information clearly and whrite everything down.

2) do the same thing in another imigration office and ask always the same questions to see if the answers are the same.

3)avoid turist places like phuket or pataya....it is too hot.!

this year i heard from the police that the new chef in bkk is going to give us a hard time and when they receive in kaolak your dossier to be aprouved then they will examin your document and if it is not exactly like they want overthere then it will be rejected.

they told me that they convert at the central a non o year visa into a 6 mounth non o visa.

just because they did not like the way the photos from the house where made.so ....you understand now..!

Schengen Countries already have this requirement for Thai, and other nationalities, as a prerequisite for those who require a visa to enter the Schengen Area.

it is not the same people going to europe from asia .china.africa,india etc etc , go most of them.....for using our democratic policies ,our freedom and free institution services ...here we come with money and have to pay for pissing.thats a big difference of traveling.

when tourist or foreigner ,visiting or living in thailand go to the hospital or go to see the doctor ....THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT SERVICE,IT IS NEVER FREE.

Another money money making idea of Mr. T's goverment. Almost all Europeans have insurance anyway. Not even the very strict homeland security ask me for insurance, when i entered the US. BTW, i was in Cambo last week. Its getting better and better. Peaple in Phnom Penh speak english and i was suprised. Some students speak fluently french as well. Peaple in Phnom Penh drive Lexus instead of Vios or D Max. Another5 year. Lets see whats going on. Sometime i get the feeling that they think Thailand is the only and Nr. 1 Tourist destination in this world. Did they ever been in miami, the caribean islands, Rio or somewhere else to get an idea how for examle, a beachroad should look?

I would imagine it's the massive numbers of Chinese, Indian, Russian and Asian tourists that they're concerned about, not the relatively few European tourists. It seems a bit rich for you to be criticising the level of English in Thailand when your own written English is not exactly perfect!

well il is not the first time a see in thailand a nazzi logo in shops , in teeshirt or even a big flag with a zvatiska.i have seen one in a buddhist picture in bkk ,or people with a tatoo in the arm.so i made resurch...it was so revolting!

what i have to say is that if you look in internet ,you'll see that the zvatiska logo is very ,very old ,it goes the right or also left side .....and hitler just took it as his simbol for his politic ideas.

anyway all the time ....i have the same nausea sensation ,i feel hungry so when i see it i use to go to the owner of the shop or speak to the guy who wear that kind of sh_t. staff.

sorry if i am rud but the truth is,because i have seen it so many times around thailand, that a lots of foreigners who comes to thailand are really fuc_king creasy and stupid assels.

info: since the USSR is broken south of europe like spain,france italy and more has been invaded by old soviet union people most of them war criminals,mafia,prostitution leader,guns seller etc etc...they look for hot countries mostly,and they came to thailand with all their infrastructure.

they are no joke ....they are not afraid, they are powerfull and have really a lot of money to convince.

But they remain a bad publicity for the rest of us who want to leave in peace here ,also because they will be called also farang by the thais who dont make the difference between an american or an europeen to a russian.
