thai taxi run normally with gaz wich is installed into the trunk, so even 2 normal bags are many times difficult to fit in that trunk, so make the math....where are they going to put those 6 bags for 80 baths?

if the taxi fare on the meter is not enough and i agree with that .....just increase it, but dont come with stupid ideas,.....

Baht Bus are absolutly not like a taxi, they work normally with a number and have a precise line or road;they stop when you ring the bell....easy no? the difficult thing for a foreigner is that you need to know where you go and where you want to stop, otherwise it is your problem....!there is no point at all to argue with the driver who work all day long for a few baths .....so if you dont have a clue dont take that kind of local cheap transportation.

i hope that fellow will learn from his mistake, i think he deserved that eye, to many foreigners dont speak the local language, dont know s.h.i.t from the country they visit and after all they want to be understand and treated specially.

Whats going on here, all the seniors and Platinums are blaming the guy that got assaulted. Maybe he could not speak Thai, and BTW, you could do with an English lesson. A tourist can not speak Thai, he is a tourist. He is also unaware of the Baht bus system, still no reason to be assaulted.

1)- i know my english isn't perfect..( i am not anglo saxon).thanks to remind me... but everybody understand me anyway..also in thai, spanish, german, italian and french....what about you bright spark?

2) -as you excuse that guy for not being aware of that bus system, in my opinion if he was such in a hurry, he could have change of transportation instead of chouting to that driver letting him loosing is nerves wich is quiet difficult here, he must have been very rud to him for sure, and pissed him.

these immigrant people must be really desperate to think that thailand is a land of hope, and try with a fake marriage to do something here.

another nonsense is that with the status of married with a thai wife you get a non immigrant visa....well.... when is the thai government going to accept and realise that a husband living with his wife in one country long term, if it is not his country then he become an immigrant or his wife become an immigrant if she goes to his country...as simple as that!

to finish i would recomand that you learn the thai language asap to get accepted and understood by the family and the neiboured too, because thais live in a comunity, it is important that you get to know each other..(but dont be stupid to buy alcool to everyone, or pay for everything! )...you will never be 100% part of them but at least in case of problems people will make opinion, respect you and that could help you one day.

in my issan village they are very primitive and because of these few things i explained i avoid a few bad situations.and here even if some dont like me, they do respect me, because i never gave them the chance to speak badly from me, because i never ever act like stupid...!

in my opinion, people should not go abroad for asylum, never,... they should fight in their own country for their own right to be recognized...it is not going to the house of the neibourg that their problem will be resolved...!and when they do it masivly one or various nation has even more problem to absorb them for many good reasons, political, religion, language etc etc ...!but the worse thing is that the world do have economical or politic relation ship with government who create all those human desaster, and that is very criticable, also with the new globalisation system, governments should really start to make things the ethics way more than the economic way, because slowly but surely we are ruining our planet one way or another.

now tsunamis and huracans are not only from the weather we alterate, but we create exodus of people from many different places because of our stupid politic.
