Not in a thousand years..the IRS is not going to provide your stimulus payment money to the SSA for the SSA to then send to you.  Additionally, the IRS got/can get your banking details from the SSA....they did that for millions and millions of people....and then the IRS sends the payment.   But when the IRS gets banking info from the SSA/VA/etc., the IRS then also determines if your are eligible of the stimulus/tax laws....how much you should receive...and then then the IRS sends your payment.

The IRS is not going to throw in another step of after getting your banking details from the SSA then turn around and send your stimulus payment to the SSA for the SSA to then send you.

AND I would seriously, seriously, seriously doubt the SSA would want to get involved in stimulus payments (wouldn't want to touch that with a ten foot pole) other than providing a database dump to IRS of banking details as the SSA don't have enough manpower now to handle their current duties, don't want to get involved in thousands of emails/mails/phone calls where SSA recipients would surely start calling the SSA for stimulus payment problems, etc.

Nope, not in a thousand years.

Why with the negative attitude. Direct quote form you by the IRS on post # 1287.

From the SSA website as of 25 June.

If I live outside the United States and not in a U.S. Territory, how and when will I get my economic impact payment (EIP)?

Social Security beneficiaries with a foreign address whose monthly benefit is deposited in a foreign bank will receive their EIP by paper check in the mail, because the IRS does not deposit money into foreign accounts. The IRS anticipates it will start mailing these EIPs no later than July 24. Beneficiaries living abroad who receive their monthly benefit through a domestic bank should receive their EIP by direct deposit to that same account on or about July 24.

  2. After a venture in futility last night trying to contact the IRS I gave up. I just now after being transferred 4 times and a 1 hour wait on hold got to talk to a real person. The person was a young man who was polite and helpful. After the secret handshake he was able to access the details. He confirmed that the system leaves a lot to be desired as the system is BROKEN DICK. He said he was putting a trace on the check and then a new (debit card) would be mailed to me at my address in Thailand. This process could take another 6 weeks. The phone number he said to call the IRS on for the stimulus check is +12679411000 He told me not to use the 1800 number. He also gave me his ID number. The IRS has to mail this debit card to my Thai address and can not mail it to a US address. There is a chance that the IRS may transfer the funds over to SSA as they have my banking detail for DD this is to start July 24. That being said next year on the 2020 forums they will be a place to put your banking details for DD.

  3. A gentleman a few km up the road put together a nice place about 8 years back. Has a fishing pond about the size of ours 50mx50mx10m. His pond was low on H2O so he put in a 6 inch bore with a 4 inch deep submergible pump. Two issues hit him in the a-r-s-e. The 6 inch bore was about 100 foot from his house where he had a 2 inch bore after about 1 week of 24/7 pumping no water for his house. He shut down and took a few days for the table to recover. BUT the big A-R-S-E ripper was his PEA bill for the month 15K. I can't repeat what he said AND the pond only went up about 2 inches.????

Any clue what hard water does with growing rice? Maybe that is the reason why he said about first in pond and then from there to the plants?

Jack all nothing. Our wells are in the same water table as our ponds at 4 meters and the wife has a major contract backed by the DOA and TOPS market selling her produce. Locals are blowing smoke.

Afaik as I know it's NOT salty but just HARD water. (So it contains a lot of minerals)

And I have no idea, this is what I have been told to do and that's why I am asking here for advice

Our well water is also hard ( NO salt) and it is used for irrigation with no side effects. The water is not pump into the pond,

Interesting, but must be Cambodian business people stocking up for sale back home. Cross-border trade is allowed, as with all the lorries still crossing at Poi-Pet, but NO TOURISTS or EX-PATS (visa runs) as Tourist Visas ("e" type or port of entry) are NOT BEING ISSUED by Cambodian Immigration. Cambodia's border with Vietnam is now open but people must get another type of visa (business, ordinary etc.) as Tourist visas are not being issued to enter from Vietnam. Strict health regulations must be observed.

Theses are  Cambodians that are being allowed to use Ruampaet Hospital in Surin most if not all are out of Oddar Meancheay Province of Cambodia. That province and Surin has a very long blood tie. The Governors of these two province were able to get the OK from BK to let them back in for medical care. BTW that hospital is not cheap as it is private. These people drive brand new trucks and cars. They load up the vehicle with family and after being checked in both O'Smach then Chong Chom off they go 70km up the 214 highway to the hospital THEN to load up at Big C and Makro. They will not shop at Tesco or Robison. BTW Thai or foreigner can not cross over. I live in Kap Choeng and very aware of what goes on. Even before the Corona Beer Flu we refused to go to Surin on a weekend due to the stamped of the Khmer hauling A-s-s up the highway and noway were you getting a parking spot at Big C. Could say a few more thing but need to keep it civil.???? Also residence of these two province only have to present their ID card to pass over but only can stay in the joining province for 3 days. Needles to say the local farangs are not happy.????

I really do not think the Thai government let alone the Prime Minister personallg has authorized this but if you have any links to that effect pkease post. The info we are getting from both Thai Embassy and local immigration is that medical visas are not being issued and cannot come.

This is also what has been said in the media.

Surin area has a long history  of bending the rules for border crossing. I still think what you are seeing is a purely local arrangement. Would be interested to know what if anything gets stamped into their passports when entering Thailand.
