They could open the land borders only for nationals of those countries.
Cambodians are being allowed to cross over at Chon Chom for medical in Surin. They are bringing their whole family. Big C parking lot was stuffed with nothing but Khemer lic plates this past weekend.

IF you're living outside of the US and are able to successfully change your address to a US address and avoid receiving the Form 7162, you, most likely, may NOT avoid receiving summons to appear for jury duty. If that happens, what reason/s can you give to be excused from performing your jury duty? And again IF you're able to get an excuse ONCE, that doesn't mean you are excused forever. I would like to get someone's "two cents" on this.
Many years back when I was working and living in Saudi Arabia I used a good friends address in Carson City Nevada for dl and voting. We were talking and he told me he had some mail for me and one was a jury duty summons, I had him mail all to me (8000 miles) back then mail did make. When I received the summons the report date was still some two weeks off, Grand Jury Duty Reno Nevada. They did pay your milage when serving soooooo I mailed the summons back with a note asking if they would pay my milage from Saudi Arabia. The return letter did have a Saudi post mark. Never heard from them.

That part I find unacceptable. It's a disgrace that they require this and do it in person.
Not by my immigration office. Photos are taking by us. This is a police order and is written as such. This requirement is standard throughout Thailand.

Load 6
Zee boss took me for a look see at a Farmers Market in Tops Surin this afternoon. I was goob smack by what I saw. I counted over 20 display stalls and a very large fresh cooked food both with local talent. The market area is just inside and takes up at least 75% of the produce area. All produce and fruit are advertised as chemical free and by what I saw majority of it comes from Surin. I only saw two other farangs in the store but about 50 Thais most about the FM side. To me it looks like Tops have hit a grand slam.
Wife with red bag stall infront is hers. She grew all you see.
Tops even has a Fresh Cooked Food Both with local talent..
100% local owned Wagyu Beef.
AND speaking of local talent...????????

Hey KB, any chance on a set of photos looking at the finished greenhouses?
Yes. When it gets finished. To busy growing produce and taking to TOPS. Me boss was up there again yesterday with a load of produce then after she returned was out at the greenhouse taking care of her 50 or so grape trees until about 9 last night. She will probably cover them about November.

Heck, got SS from Manila just with a phone call. They also provided critical assistsne both to myself and X wife during the last 15 years.
You can not use the internet options unless you sign up in the USA it is that simple. You would not be going the through all this the BS that is put on us.

If I knew then what I know now I would NOT have signed up through Manila I would have waited and gone back to America and signed up. Just saying.

I can find this link, my house is built from them, but where does it state they are engineered and "self supporting"? When I built my house there was no ACC that would support weight, my question was where does it state they are?
Yes. https://gharpedia.com/resolve-queries/use-aac-blocks-load-bearing-structures/

Correction on price about 31K for two greenhouses. Go back on my thread and see photos of what can be done and this is an ongoing project..
GH is about 20mlx4mwx8mt. Just the steel is about 31k. Cover and labour is extra. There are 3 people working on it all locals that do this for their livening. The steel was sourced from GH Surin. Photos from today. Tomorrow should have more. You only see 1 unit as there will be 2 side by side. Each unit has 22 legs which will be set in concrete. This area is the fill from the pond.
Making a dream. Aka pond/lake
This is in Kap Choeng Surin where my wife is involved with the DLD on a "cow" project. I have a thread going on it. As of most of isaan our area lacks big time for water. On the main part where her cow project is we have 3 wells and two ponds. She has always had a dream of doing something beside growing rice on another part of her farm which is directly opposite from the DLD project. BTW over 100 head and growing. SOOOO after numerous consultations the bullet was bit. She has a 6 rai sect -

What is a GH?
Global House. Sourced out at least 6 other providers. That cost included delivery of 60 km.

I never got the Trump Letter but received a check last week. The check was dated 5/22. It was misdirected to Taiwan first for some crazy reason.
Glade you received your check, I'm still waiting on mine mailed out May 1. The misdirect bit I question. Eva Air is one of the few airline that fly into and out of the America they are based out of Taiwan. They have been used by the Thai Government for repatriation of Thais back to Bangkok. I have very little doubt that most of the delays is the checks are in Taiwan waiting for space on another flight to Bangkok.

That is definitely not true as I have sent signed then scanned 7162 pdf files to Manila to get Thai widows of US veterans SS benefits reinstated.
I stand corrected. You got me off my arss and I did some digging. Manila does have a fax but still no confirmation on their site about pdf.

Ok, maybe this will help. I did call Baltimore just now being awake early, though I'm sure Manila would be just as helpful and prompt as they've always been. The word I was given is that the form 7162 mail out has been cancelled and no suspension of benefits will occur. However, she did say this may be re evaluated in July and, of course, that does leave us in some suspense. Since I got forms without a hitch for 14 years straight, I can probably be a bellwether and will announce if I get one down the road. For 880 baht, I'm still comfortable having sent it in just to be sure. I guess the bar code isn't necessary for that and the PO Box on the return envelope is fine with EMS. Hopefully, we can relax now.

PO BOX 7162
WILKES BARRE PA 18767-7162UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
The SSA Form 7162 by their requirements has to be signed by you. If you send an unsigned 7162 they do not have to accept it. This a major reason I will not email the forum. SSA does not use FAX or pdf attachments. The only way is to download the form sign it then EMS it to WIKLES BARRE

Thanks for the info, but I must say that Manila has always been of great help for me, maybe not this time, but give them a bit more time. Two friends last year also had their payments restored via Manila. I do expect the EMS form to Wilkes Barr to work, though could not supply the barcode.
Your friends wasted time as Manila did fork all but forward info to Baltimore. Manila can not do anything but sign you up and act as messenger boy.

Dang, thanks for that. So, I hope the exact room number, etc., still works. I sent one to Manilla as I described above by email Sunday, too. The no-reply said there are no phone services or appointments, etc. I asked if they would acknowledge the 7162 and accept it in PDF format w/o the barcode and if suspension of benefits were waived this year because of Covid-19, but so far no answer. Boy, you ever get the feeling that the US government is dying to get rid of us? I know I've been dying to be rid of them the whole of 72 years.
My 2 satang. Never involve Manila with anything except for signing up for SS IF you're not in the states. Manila is as useless as they get.. The can not and will not do anything . If you send anything to them they only will forward it to Baltimore and the 7162 is sent to Wilkes Barre. If you have an issue call SSA in Baltimore you will get NO help from Manila. s for Baltimore the SSA phone system leaves a lot to be desired but be patent tell you get a live voice. I have had serious issue with Baltimore for the past 4 years but I am still getting my funds DD to my US bank. In the past 4 years and this year is the 5th year. I have had only ONE 7162 sent to me and Zero end of year statements. Do a download of the 7162 form sign it then EMS it to Wilkes Barre no where else. If you envole Manila all you are doing is adding another layer of incompetency. SSA number Baltimore. +1 800 772 1213. The post by another forum member may be correct then it may not be. I have seen nothing on the SSA website about this subject. Call Baltimore and use EMS.

You have more faith in them than I do.
Sent them a copy of the one I had sent by registered mail last year that showed it was delivered when I got the second notice and never was able to get a reply back from them even after sending a follow up email.
Total agree. On the other thread "American Have You Received You Stimulus Check"..you posted a notice from the SSA that Forum 7192 would not be sent out this year due to CoronaVirus and we have a year grace period. I looked but can not find.

Its official as the PM OK it for medical reasons. Checking on both side of crossing on health. They pack up their auto and bring the whole family. BTW NO Thais or others may cross the other way. There was an article or two on TV
