How about hiring a man and a woman to play Bond in the same movie? No explanation regarding which one is supposed to be the "real" Bond. Think of the buzz on social media! I recall Bunuel film "That Obscure Object of Desire" from 70's where two women played the lead (in same time frame, not flashback or forward)

My Thai wife has her own Visa card. Oddly, does not have her name on the front as in the West. Anyone else experience and/or notice this? She is tighter with money than I am, btw: do not worry about her going on shopping rampage or any of that sort of behavior

Friend of mine who was self described "butterfly" used to collect trash on Jomtien Beach years ago. Said it was a great way to meet "good" Thai girls when they came up to thank him (not pitch in and help, natch).

 Maybe some readers who see bedding scads of women as life goal might want to try that approach.

Beaches aren't too awful these days as there actually is a beach clean up crew in the morning. People still drink & eat then walk away leaving trash, so should be a steady job.

hmmm were the locals consulted at the time? Who would you choose, the Brits or Thais calling the shots?

The dogs on Jomtien beach have never been a threat to me, and seem friendly and intelligent. I'd take one as a pet if condo allowed it.

I have been bitten twice by soi dogs away from the beach. Once when riding a bike in Bang Saen and once by a dog I'd passed by without problem previously. I was in recovery stage from Dengue fever. Maybe I smelled unfamiliar?

Would be nice if all buses had major stops listed in English on the sides. My Thai reading skills aren't so hot. A few do have English, to their credit

One might think any business would be "under pressure to perform".

The tv show was a must see.

One of the great things about them was they appeared to be having fun, and not taking themselves seriously. It's when they started taking themselves seriously that it was the beginning of the end. Somewhat ironic that they were replaced by an animated group, because the guy that created them got so PO at them for wanting to make their own music.
