  1. Hi guys

I'm planning to go on a well deserved bike holiday with my wife on the second week in October.
Starting point is Chachoengsao. From there we'll ride to the Village Farm Resort in Wang Nam Khiaw. A nice quiet vineyard, with excellent wine and food. We'll stay there for 1 night and enjoy a little luxury.
From there we'll ride to Korat to meet some friends and to Phimai to visit the ancient city. This should take about 2 days.

From there.....I'm not sure. We have 5-6 days more and I'd like to ride to Petchabun and find some nice mountain roads (or at least hills), which I miss so much in Chachoengsao. Never been there, so I would like to make the most out of it.

So here is my question: do you have any tips on which road I should take, particularly beautiful places to visit, resorts you would recommend?

    Here's the map so far...

    Any help is much appreciated!

    thank you

  2. Since there aren't any Scrambler pics forthcoming, I'll post a couple of my brother's new addition to his collection.

2000 Ducati 998R, 59 out of 700 made, 2.800km on the clock, Termignoni exhausts, Marchesini wheels.

I'm very excited and I hope he will let me test it when I'm home for holidays!

  3. I was really excited about the new Scrambler, but that stupid marketing campaign really killed it for me. First they said they would show the bike at the WDWeek, but all we got were crappy photos, wannabe trendy hipster videos and another deadline for the unveiling.

Truly annoying if you ask me.

  4. Sorry OP, if I were you, I wouldn't put up with that crap. I think you're an easy target for the admins or whoever orders you around. You've been saying yes too often and therefore they keep giving you more and more work.

Maybe I've just been spoiled by my school. 18-20 hrs of classroom teaching, no other duties, no morning assembly, a great boss and very helpful secretary and overall much freedom to teach as I see fit.

  5. My first view of an SR500 was in a Yamaha dealer in Melbourne. I thought it looked great! And I could be wrong, but I thought the Aussie model had a decompression lever.

Is there no decomp lever on the SR400?

They all have a decompression lever, BSJ.

Thank you for the review Jack. Are you coming to the DGR? Would love to see your new SR.

  6. Eh...I guess I'm the official one there.

Yes, you can give me all your cash, no problem. :-))

Seriously, if you don't want to send it online, I can collect it and send it after the ride.

There will also be a couple of helmets for auction. The proceeds will be donated too.

  7. Guys, official meeting time is 09.20.

09.00 was a mistake by the DGR team and has been corrected.

Meeting point for Pattaya gents is the parking lot of the Bangkok hospital.

    Starting time 9.45.

The route and the regroup point are on the map you can find on the official website.

Please register with the site, and leave a donation if you can.

BSJ, you are a veteran DG rider, please show these young ones the way to the next whiskey bar! :-)
