So, with this new rule, if a school classifies a teacher as 'assistant teacher', a degree won't be necessary? What about the teacher's licence?

How will this rule change the current scenario in practical terms? A lot more assistant teachers than teachers??

Displacement is definitely not an issue. Although classic and custom bikes are preferred,I don't really want to make it too strict.

As long as you can synch with the spirit of it all, I see no problem in joining on any kind of bike.

It's not 100%, but it seems we have a nice Italian sponsor on board.

Will try to be there as well,looks like a fun event, have to dust off my little Cafe Racer and mentally prepare myself for a 900KM (v.v) journey on that old 150cc 2 stroke, which i normally only use for sort rides :-)

Update:

The link to the DGR forum I put in the first post is basically only for organizers. The official website will go live in 10 days, but you can already sign up now to get all the necessary infos about the ride.

Also, since this is a charity ride, you'll be able to donate online there. Ideally, no money should change hands during the ride, but I'm not sure if that's feasible with our Thai friends, who might find it easier to do 'thamm bunn' the traditional way.

Well, you have to dress up like a 'gentleman' for one thing. No Sidis, no leathers, in fact it appears no protective gear at all. Okay I guess if they're pottering around on step-throughs, Forzas etc but on sportsbikes it'd obviously be impractical. Can't really see you doing this!

My first bike in Thailand was a Boxer ST200 and I loved it. Only sold it to upgrade to a Suzuki Bandit which I didn't like that much (don't like inline 4s, I realized). Still miss it sometimes (the Boxer).

Agree that the Boxer sounds much better than the new small Hondas.

Also, the mufflers you guys got, are they 'clones' (copies) or original? Is there much difference between the 2?

But mind you this akrapovic is not loud.. some remove the DB killer.. can be done easily (i have not)

I put this question in the ER6 thread, but since there's no answer forthcoming, I hope it'll get more exposure here.

I recently bought a 2009 ER6n with only 69km on the clock. Love it apart from 1 thing: it's way to quiet!

I'm used to hear the rumbling and thumping of my SR, which is not only satisfying, but also gives me information about my speed, gear and rpm without having to check.

I'm therefore looking for a slip-on muffler in the 10k price range that is not too loud, but louder than the original. I do like the understated look of the carbon Akrapovich.

Do these slip ons already have the bung for the O2 sensor, or does it have to be welded on? Also, will I have problems with backfiring?

Any brand or shop you can recommend? I don't mind copies as long as they're professionally made.

I am not trying to have an argument with anyone. The only reason I brought up the creation of the universe in this thread was to point out that with so much unknown about our existence how can we say definitively that there is no existence after physical death. We see a magician make a dove appear out of nowhere. We know this is just an illusion, because it is impossible to create a dove out of nothing. But many of us accept that the entire universe was created out of nothing, whether spontaneously or by a supernatural creator. Gravity was mentioned previously. Yes there is gravity, and we know what it does, but we don't know why. We don't even know why time exists, and there is even dispute that it only goes in one direction. Many scientists support the idea of parallel universes, and some even say there are different times in each universe. Perhaps we continue our existence in one of those universes. As I stated before, I don't know the answers, but I do enjoy thinking about the questions, and discovering others viewpoints.

Nobody has proven that there's nothing after death, therefore it's not a fact. Nobody knows for sure, but chose to believe or not to believe in it.
