20 more days of madness for hundred of thousands of people who lost their jobs, income, assets... everything.

What a great way to prepare the (so called) "reopening" of the country on october 1...

Reopening 10pm - 4 am lockdown , make it count the extra 1 hour , especially if your a tourists after all that's what you came to thailand for ? Yes ?  38,000 baht isolation cost , health insurance 29,000 baht your visa 13,000 baht and flight 25,000 baht return flight = 105,000 baht + 25,000 baht for 1 month hotel stay  = 130,000 baht  = £ 3,000 uk pounds not bad eh + oh and don't forget to get back in England it's £2,200 uk pounds to stay in a uk government run hotel and 10 days quarentine.

£ 2,200 + £ 3,000 = £ 5,200 uk pounds + spending money for 1 month lovely jubbly roll up roll up 10pm - 4am lockdown unvaccinated not allowed in restraunts = oh what's this only 100 tourists , famous Thai words DONT THINK TOO MUCH , they certainly are doing that.

Lockdowns do work, but they only stave off the inevitable. Unless the vaccine roll out has a high coverage, Bangkok will see infections rocket again just as they have in the UK and US.

Something is not right and does not add up , in uk there are 77% of population that have had both vaccinations so they are fully vaccinated there also must be going by the figures at least 22% that have had covid and recovered from it and now have natural immunity , that leaves 1% left but yet new infections are rising and so are deaths this is impossible and does not add up therefore I won't be taking the vaccine as I think we are being lied to by the ones above.

Finding it hard to think of a good reason as to why this is not a bad thing

They are expecting the UK pound to thai baht will go to 49 thai baht to uk pound by end of 2021 and even further thai baht down next year 2022 could get to 60 thai baht to uk pound about time too.

Read the article twice and failed to see anything other than the headline that discusses October 1st as the opening of Thailand to foreigners.  Maybe I missed it as I also saw no link to an article to be referenced either.  I guess we just believe what is said, without proof from this Government, Nah who am I kidding.

best time to arrive in thailand is the start of songkran then you can go into isolation for 2 weeks i would love that . ahhhh what a damn i missed songkran  ( NOT )

Yes I will look forward to walking around with a soaking wet mask on all day

cancelled It would be the best decision if they cancelled songkran completely im sick of buying new trainers after songkran and getting drunken thais and farlangs throwing ice cold water over you upto midnight instead of stopping it at 6pm , ps is there any deserted property somewhere i can go for 1 or 2 weeks near pattaya fully stocked up with food and drink ?

    What does  $389,835 Mean ?

Is that to retire for the rest of your life?  at what age?  and  how many years would that last you. ?

No its for living 14 years after retirement thats 27,500 usd a year or about 650,000 baht a year = or 54,000 baht a month round about , i will have more than this just on my pensions and then have savings so i will be ok . looks like 3some 3 times a week and go go girls everyday for me what a shame , still someone has to do the dirty work ha ha LOL

Hahaha - That would indicate that 3095 people planned to travel abroad (no mention of Thailand). How the hell do they arrive at a figure of 6 million Brits holidaying in Thailand this year? Please can I have some of what these clowns have been smoking?

And 68% of them won't come if they have to pay for quarentine so what's the betting that quarentine will be dropped if you have been vacinated

on coconuts they named this hotel, it's at the end of jomtien with beach access.

really big hotel with some 20 floors and hundreds rooms.

they  use to charge around 1600b.

during his stay he did contact health authorities, so he has some back up

I see he was Thai , so it looks like only Thai people can get free 14 days quarentine , farlang must have to pay

Assuming that the "alleged" perpetrator was an employee of the bank and the scams took place on bank premises during opening hours then the bank is 100% liable for the employee's actions. The bank must compensate the customers immediately and in full. Will this happen? Unlikely here I'm afraid.

no chance of getting money off the bank this is thailand and they protect their own , they are lucky the police did anything usually they would say its the farlangs fault , its a good job there was more than one swindled as police would not investigate if only one . the money will never be recovered it will be a happy retirement for the assistant bank manager and head of police kapiche

That - starting in June - could put Thailand opening earliest in Easter next year if they don't do kids and want vaccinate all before opening. That could be horrific with delays.

Also 200,000 is nothing by time 67,000,000 done then start on garlands it could be 2 years , the only way this is going in Thailand is vaccine passports for foreigners who enter Thailand relying on other countries to get their people vaccinated then Thailand will not have to do it or spend money as we know they are tight ! But the infections could rise if Thailand let's in tourists who are not vaccinated , but how many tourists are going to continue to pay quarentine expensive costs to come here not me for one , I go back UK in April and get vaccinated then I can go where I want which won't be here in Thailand , probably Philippines I go to after this and not come here for a long time

They started to understand that no tourists will come to quarantine in Thailand. It took time but they finally get it.

yes they seem to think money grows on trees in the west , also what would help is 70 baht to the GBP LIKE IT USED TO BE , its hardly budged from 40 bt to gbp even though thais are nearly starving with no jobs etc , how it stays at 40 bt to GBP i will never know it must be fiddled

Both of my parents who are in their mid 70's have been vaccinated at some point over the last 2 weeks and they had no side effects at all.

It was the AstraZeneca vaccine commonly known as 'the Oxford vaccine' - the same one Thailand has ordered tens of millions of doses of and will then at some point manufacture under a technology transfer deal for onward distribution throughout Asia.

Your parents have only took the 1st jab after 2nd jab will see if side effects
