an obvious question, the general said the private sector can import vaccines? how if the government can not?
50,000 doses ? At this rate with 67,000,000 population it would take 20 years , I go back to UK for mine

Looking forward to eating a good plate of Fish & Chips while drinking a mug or two of Guinness at my local Iris Pub once they can serve alcohol. Of course I will need to ensure I put in 10km the next day...lol
There should be no leaving or entering samut sakorn and definitely they need to close the seafood market where it began and test and isolate anyone working there and customers

Don't seek and you could be looking at a significant growth in infections, long term covid sufferers and deaths.......you are right....best not to look in the first place.
just reading the figures of infections now we have lower infections than 11th jan so the lockdown works but they are not totally locking down samut sakorn it should have extreme lockdown there no moving in or out kill the virus at the source dirty locals thai . not farlang

Nice profile picture, MR fearful! ............Give it a rest about Cov-id19!
Btw If you check what happened in Italy, in Bergamo, Lombardy..... That province had 100,000 deaths vs 60,000 deaths for the 2nd highest province in 2019 - Before Cov-Id!!!! Check: https://www.statista.com/statistics/569435/number-of-deaths-in-italy-by-region/ That area has a very high elderly population + Bad air pollution, That's what it usually like there but the media wanted to make it look like a disaster was happening there because of Cov-Id
The chance of someone Aged 50 and under catching/dying of cov-id is extremely small, they have more risk of dying in a traffic accident
-The NHS is at the same capacity/patients as last years....SO STOP SPREADING LIES. Most people are going into NHS hospital for something else BUT are tested positive for Cov-id19.
-The main problems are arising from the fact nurses have to self isolate if they test positive (staff shortages) etc
and alot of it comes from the pharma companies making it look bad as they want to make money they say its at cost but i doubt it they are making thousands also hospital staff will go along with it as they want to keep their jobs

Astrazeneca are doing it as a no-loss and no-profit exercise. My friend in the UK is in charge of compliance systems over this.
put the boot on the other foot , if it was thailand manufacturing the 63 million doses to uk do you think thailand would do it at cost ? not a chance they would try to screw as much money out of farlang as they could , and could you trust if it was the real vaccine or a fake copy

To be fair there has been no u-turn, just inaccurate reporting, at no point was there a total ban on travel to or from the 5 provinces, restrictions yes, total lockdown no.
there was it was announced now there is no lockdown , confusus says hand in pocket all day feel cocky.

Well that's the whole point
its not the whole point , thewhole point is to stop people buying alcohol not to stop them when they cannot buy it after midnight but to stop it at 10,55am or 4.55pm then they cannot buy it when alcohol buying hours start , you really need to use your noddle , and any reply to this and i wont be engaging conversation with you as i only want to talk to people with sense .

When covid first hit, they were very quick to close the borders and ban inter-province travel. Why on earth they haven't stopped people moving around the country is anyone's guess. From the beginning of January, the virus is really going to take off. Pattaya, which is fairly covid free will suffer after the usual hoards of Bankokians decend on the place for the New Year holiday.
no 7 elevens or family marts open after 10pm they will have to bring their beer with them

Your giving me a headache.. Time for a drink
better make sure you stock up as your advise is to ban buying it in 6 hours 44 mins and counting

Well that's the whole point
How is that going to stop people buying alcohol when people cannot buy alcohol already after midnight , it should be brought in at the start of buying alcohol at about 4.55 pm

Why? So Thais can stock up on booze and have beach parties the very thing they are trying to avoid
Same as last time. Announced at midnight effective immediately
cannot buy alcohol anyway after midnight

Sell it to who, exactly? Only ones who can buy land are Thai nationals. Selling the land off cheaply to the super rich families would be doing a lot for these families and pretty much nothing for the army or the masses. But we can ask some of the influential families if they're interested in some prime land plots at 90% off...
doubt if top officials will give any money out , and if money is shared out it will lead to even more drinking whiskey in the village all day and night as usual is the case

The draw was held today so I doubt a dozen people will crowd around a seller right now.

Were they allowed to open during the first lock-down, I can't remember?
mobile phone shops are remain open i guess because people might need to telephone the hospital and if their phone is not working they can go and get it fixed at a mobile phone shop .

Well, how about starting vaccinations sooner? Even Mexico, Costa Rico and Chile started to vaccinate their people with the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine already. But in Thailand, there seems to be no pressure at all and no priority to do that. Very strange.
Could there be any better proof that an end of the crisis is not at all a top priority of the Thai government, for whatever reason? Were they told by China to wait for a Chinese vaccine maybe? Or to ruin the economy even more, to make it cheaper for Chinese investors? I mean, if even Mexico is able to get and distribute the vaccine in order to protect its people, why is Thailand not?
i only counted 62 cases when adding up the different districts where they get 110 from
