  1. Without a doubt the telephone boot bar at soi batman is the very best for couples

I know where Soi Batman is (VFW Meetings) but does anyone else in Thailand?

    I don't sad.png

    Holy shit batman....

Where is the best bar for finding couples?

  2. In 2002 I had a (thai-)girlfriend from Lopburi who at that time worked as a Go-Go-dancer In Patpong.I fell in love with her and we lived togetther in Bangkok for a couple of years. One day we went to the bank together and I put 3 million Baht in HER bank-account (Fixed deposit for 1 year ), because she got a better interest-rate at that time.

Time went by and when the year was over we went to the bank together again to withdraw the 3 million from HER account in order to put it back in MY account.

When the banklady checked the filled out forms, she asked my girlfriend (NOT KNOWING THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS SPOKEN):

" Do you really want to give the 3 million back to the FARANG"?

My g/f answered (what is VERY RUDE for a thai (Lady) to say): Don't ask stupid questions and do your job.

But that was her answer, because she did know, you understand Thai!

Sorry, gotta say putting $3,000,000 in a non spouse go-go dancer's name just to get a little better interests is really showing bad judgment. Much worse than spending the money on what one perceived to be a home for your wife and child. Glad it worked out for ya though.

Just curious how much extra interest warranted that risky investment. Probay better risk return ratio on buying US penny stocks.

Betting he would make an awesome high stakes stock broker

  3. I would prefer the forum is used for worthwhile, constructive and informative articles and responses

It is very annoying reading through trolls and stupid moron's replies.

I feel it is childish to try and wind people up especial;ly when you don't know them.

However I have to accept there are those who use this forum as light entertainment who seem to have a very low IQ and have no intention of trying to help another forum member but just take the p**s.

I think its great that members of Mensa such as your goodself find time to discuss these sorts of things with us plebs on TV and give us your wisdom oh great one...

No I am not a member of mensa but would suggest that my IQ is rather higher than a lot members on TV.

I never expected anything less from the replies I have recieved from my OP, I think it just proves my point.

I have been a member of an Ex Pat forums in other countries and never have I seen such childish replies.

If someone wants to have a laugh or joke or play a game at someones else's expense then why not go to the 'joke and games ' section.

Yes I can laugh and joke around with the best, but what annoys me is a member will sometimes start a resonable OP

only to be replied with stupid (many times off topic) replies where all one was doing was asking or giving advice.

Would many of the TV members give the same response to someone who is standing in front of them?

I think not, but it is ok to hide behind a keyboard.

Yes, I now await more idiotic replies. But one thing I am sure of is that my OP and this post will not improve the standard on TV.

Sometimes it is too late to grow up.

You do realise that by reacting like that and rising to the bait you're effectively putting a target on your back, don't you?whistling.gif

    perhaps he is the bait?

    You found a good one.

And from PP, skilled as well.

    Upstairs bar?

  5. Deleted....best to remain secret.

blink.png Don't you know its nice to share !

The more I share and the crowdier it gets, the less I can share.

Right.......... a forum is really going to work well if we all adopt that attitude - won't it ?

just this one thing, don't be so selfish.

  6. It both amuses me and irritates me to see so many comments from people who's only experience with tigers is from what they read or a zoo/temple they visited.

As for me, I worked with tigers for 20 years and have friends with many more years experience around wild animals in captivity. And even I won't comment on whats is or is not going on at the temple. I have not been there so no comment.

But, as far as breeding tigers at the temple, a bad idea. They can not be introduced to the Thai jungles. They would not survive for lack of prey and hunting skills learned from tiger mothers.

THe implication is that you "know a lot about tigers (I'm guessing in captivity and on show), but you're not going to say anything about the topic? - apart from the fact that you're "irritated" and "amused"

(one way or another this thread is attracting a lot of "newbies"..........)

A clowns experience with caged tigers should be documented.

  7. You can go anywhere for body type repairs.

Only go to Toyota if you want genuine parts and if it is repairs under insurance which also requires genuine parts.

We had minor repairs done to our last year and insurance paid, but it was also in addition to an accident repair which was supposedly my fault and we got the additional small stuff done at same time at an outside shop.

My premium went up following year by 2k baht.

  8. I have a dream.

it is to take my kids out of school where they learn a lot of stuff that you will never use again in all your life and travel the world.

My biggest dilemma and hurdle is their education. You could home school, but this would mean me as a teacher and I am crap and failed school myself. I would have no idea to teach the upper levels of schooling, I cannot even do long division.

So this hurdle currently keeps me in place, but I am searching for the way and coming up with various ideas.
