  1. Hopdafru....

Nakorn Ratchasima Solar has a BOI approved solar power farm project that they are constructing in Isarn, and they are importing all of their solar panels from Europe, so may have some that were damaged in transport

If you are looking for scraps, they may be willing to unload things that have been damaged and that they can not use for this project...

You can always give them a call to check

Geez, the Thai made ones from Solartron must be good then.

  2. Ya, can you imagine all those snakes on the loose when the flooding hits and the snake farm owners loose control of the cages.

Can't see any reason why anyone would want to go see a snake show in the first place. The first girl I met in Thailand wanted to take me to a crocodile farm. I said no. She couldn't understand why I would rather sit by the pool, watch women in bikinis and drink a beer instead of looking at crocodiles. Funny what people find interesting.

yeah, same same them temples and things.

  3. It is cheaper these days , and grid connecting is possible now . This will save you a lot on the batteries so payback time is now actually quite within reach .

    Bullsheister.

While it can be done, it is not being done. This from the biggest listed solar company here that visited my place the other week for a quote....800k.

  4. You bought some Kitos?

Not kitto, different brand, awesomely good and they have a nike tick brand on them, but not nike....199b

nice one. If they don't work out try the Kito. About 200-350 baht depending where u get them. Good grip on the sole, long lasting. I have 4 pairs.

Shall do. if these ones blow out quickly I shall take up that recommendation.

Off to dream about an <deleted> I saw today.

  5. My Kito brand thongs. Simply magic on my feet

I bought new thongs the other day, outstanding pair, most comfy ever.

My previous pair had nothing on the sole and were slippery as gluing banana skins to your feet, these have a lot of traction.

lets see how they stand up to the rough and tumble I like to give a thong.

  7. OP, keep it safe it must be one of those magical pendant that give it's owner power to rule the world....ph34r.png

    Shit.

After doing some internet research on it, it does appear to be one of those type of good luck good energy kind of things.

I also gave another fossil thing to my son and I gave them both a lecture about being responsible for it now they are the new owners. mother Earth had taken care of it for 200 plus million years and the least you can do is to take care of it for your lifetime of 50/100 years which is a nano second by comparison.

Guess what I did today with it...dropped it on the bathroom floor and broke a section of it off.

Shit, that really upset me especially after the lecture.

I have not paid her the 500b yet though.

    Your starting to sound creepy...

In what way, you have to be careful about that kind of thing.

  8. As previously mentioned, PM function was not designed for what you are using it for.

We had a chat room, with very little use , since retired. But again that would not have served your purpose if you want to keep your chats private.

I would like to know why they need to be kept private ?

I also thought mod issues were not to be discussed on TV and is not the PM system part of TV, hence owned by TV, thus incorporated in TV, thus not allowed no matter what.

    Just sayin.

  9. I knew a Thai sparky that used to use his tongue to test for live wires.

Interesting re the skin sensitivity thing, did not know that.

I have had a few shocks with bare wires, one sent me across the room, it was only a small room though. But each time nothing serious happened. Yet I cannot stand the feel of it even in the electric fence low voltages used for animals, I could never touch them as others did.

  10. The land I am purchasing is much the same,a stones throw from a prosperous

Village and with people moving back to the provinces I can only see land values

    Rising

You cannot own yourself, you are buying for your tilac, so maybe an investment for her but not for you, if you are happy with that, go ahead as land prices here i some places are on the rise.

I have made a profit thus far on 3 blocks of land I have owned here.

  12. Latest development from http://m.thairath.co...t/region/295780

This story states that Oswalds wife, mother-in-law Ms Woraporn 59 years and her adopted 26 year old son planned the murder together. Two other reletives also have admitted to knowing of the murder and are assiating police with the ongoing investigation.

The mother-in-law has gone on to state that the reason for murdering Mr Heinrich is because he habitually both physically and verbally assaulted both his wife and their 3 year old son and a regular basis. She therefore planned with her adopted son, Mr Surasit , to kill Mr Heinrich. Prior to Oswalds arrival at the 3 story commercial building she ordered her other daughter to take the 3 year old son away. She then tricked Mr Heinrich into getting into the Toyota pick up saying that they would take him to see his son. The mother-in-law drove, the wife sat in the back seat behind the driver and Oswald sat in the back next to her. Mr Surasit hide himself in the back of the pick up. After driving some 10 km Mr Surasit then shot Oswald from the rear twice with a .38 pistol. One round passed through and hit the windshield which cause slight injury to the mother-in-law driving. Oswald was kiled instantly. After that Mr Surasit let his mother and sister out of the vehicle then proceded to dispose of the body. She said she didn't know where this had been done until seeing it on the news.

    Mr Surasit below :

What a family, lead by such a wonderful mum.

Imagine sitting around and planning such a thing as a family.

  13. So sad. What really gets me is that this man went ahead and did this. There must have been a little voice in the back of his head when he saw the wires and water. Most foreigners know about these things and simply shy away from them. dam_n! This is just terrible and I feel embarrassed over this deadly mistake.

You are making the assumption that the water was present on the floor when he started working.

'Police were called in to investigate the incident and confirmed that Mr. Jackson had entered a small store room underneath the stairs to fix the faulty pump but there was water on the floor which had leaked from the pump.'

  14. Yes, its all about the rice.

The land is in Mahasarakham province, it has permanent water and no power

It' has a private road.the uncle is asking 350000 baht, is this a fair price.

    Let the debate begin

Is it in the village or in the sticks, in the village where i live 1rai can fetch 600,000baht my gf sold one block 20m x 50m for 200,000 baht to a friend but told me worth at least 300,000 baht, out in the sticks just farming land can be had for as little as 20 to 40,000 baht a rai, and can pay way way more than that if good quality farm.

And what is a reasonable return on 350.000 , how many KG of rice?

The village mentioned above that is demanding 600.000b, consequently the yield in rice per rai must be about double of 350.000, Doesn't sound very likely to me.

  15. I just signed up to thaiVisa, Oswald was a kind and generous fellow, things are beign followed up by his friends here. In the meantime perhaps it is best if we focus on RIP for him and his family instead of ametuer sleuthing and off topic discussions of tourist deaths in thailand.

There is a man and family behind this story and he will be greatly missed.

As is the case with most people that are killed or die in such ways.

  16. Whats the best thing you have purchased recently in Thailand?

The other day I bought my young daughter a 200 million year old pendant.

It is a fossil of a nautilus shell...like this ammonite_sutures2.jpg

Its about 3cm across and I did not realise how stunning it was until yesterday when we left it on a table and the sun shone through the window onto it, all the colours of the rainbow illuminated it and gave it a 3d appearance as the membranes through the shell glowed red, green and various other shades.

I bought it off her today for 500baht.

  17. Everyone here has a lot to say about the "poor electrical work in Thailand" but all of them have overlooked the fact that it is THEIR responsibility to ensure that THEIR house or THEIR premises are safe. Not to mention that all the posters here seem to be very knowledgeable when it come to (after the fact) electrics - yet NOT ONE has mentioned the one inexpensive little device that could have saved ALL of those lives. It's called an Earth Leakage Relay - or a Residual Current Device. Look it up - and if you don't have one installed, then install one immediately. Before we have to type in yet another RIP!

Is that the same as a 'Safe-T-cut' set to #10 ?
