Bank - to -Bank transfers for Visa based on Marriage.
Last month I applied for an extension based on marriage using the bt40,000pm method using Wise. Normally i use retirement for which i have no problem. My SCB statement showed the transactions coming from the Kbank so the IO said not ok, had to show coming from my Australian bank. I finally printed out 27x2 page Wise transaction confirmations and gave them that. These show the transfers coming from my Australian bank to SCB with a note saying that they go via the Kbank. The application goes from my local IO to Chiang Mai for ratification so that's why they were picky. I have to wait for 30 days to see the result. I also had to undergo a visit from immigration (bt2,000) as I had changed from retirement to marriage. Bank to retirement next year!

Aussie Credit CardS.
Atually you can send net codes to a Thai number from CBA. I do that. But you need to phone the bank and get them to change the number held in their data base. You cannot do it yourself online.

Earthquake Rocks Bangkok: Building Collapses with 40 people inside
Live in Phetchabun, half way to CM from Bangkok. My 2 story house swayed back and forth for about 1 min. No damage. Quite frightening. 32 6 metre piles onto bedrock,2 per column. Could have surfed on my fish pond. Took me back to my days in Wellington NZ

Thai Restaurant Industry Faces Crisis as Purchases Plummet by 40%
No point in lowering prices if it sends you out of business. As a thai restaurant owner, admittedly in Melbourne, the above reference to 5% profit is probably a little high. What people here are focusing on is the rise in prices without looking at the cause. Overheads nowadays have risen exhorbitantly, particularly salaries, energy costs, insurance, rent. Owners need to take some action to keep afloat.

Who has the 'right of way'?
When i asked that question i was told that, because of the narrow roads in Thailand, they want to clear the main road first so they let the right hand turners go first. Hope that provides some sort of answer to your question.

Retirement extension
I changed from money in the bank marriage to monthly transfers of over bt65.000 per month for retirement here in Phetchabun last month. No problems. I did have over bt400,000 in the bank as a back up at the time of renewal. The IO supported my switch to retirement. I've been in marriage for many years but retirement is much easier. SCB no problems with the bank statement and letter. 30 mins.

Would this offend you?
I attended a local Thai wedding where the brother of the bride had a tshirt on which said 'go f*** yourself'. I asked if he knew what it meant and when he said no i suggested he might want to go change which he did.

No tax on Aussie pension
People who keep raising this issue need to shut up a you are just giving the Thai government ideas. The government have been seen to not really be interested in taxing falang overseas income so why keep raising it as an issue?
