  1. I changed from money in the bank marriage to monthly transfers of over bt65.000 per month for retirement here in Phetchabun last month. No problems. I did have over bt400,000 in the bank as a back up at the time of renewal. The IO supported my switch to retirement. I've been in marriage for many years but retirement is much easier. SCB no problems with the bank statement and letter. 30 mins.
  2. I attended a local Thai wedding where the brother of the bride had a tshirt on which said 'go f*** yourself'. I asked if he knew what it meant and when he said no i suggested he might want to go change which he did.
  3. People who keep raising this issue need to shut up a you are just giving the Thai government ideas. The government have been seen to not really be interested in taxing falang overseas income so why keep raising it as an issue?
  4. Some time ago, after a nine hour flight, i caught a taxi from the airport to Morchit. On the way the driver asked where i was headed and when told, he offered to drive me 360k to my home. About 50k out he stopped to buy some tonic to keep awake. The 3rd time he did this, after nearly falling asleep, I offered to drive which he accepted. So I drove his taxi 300k home!
  5. What are these so called scams and who are they scamming?
  6. And there are plenty of restaurants/bars around ther have toilets you can use
  7. Yes, he forged documents to obtain the replacement deed.
  8. Would help if the op could post a recording of the sound as, from what he described, I don't think any of the responses are correct. Except maybe the one who said it may be a frog as we have a frog here that sounds like that.
  9. Yes, was caught up in that. Took 7 hours to get to phetchabun from Bangkok last night!
  10. Not true at melbourne mate. I get through in 2 mins Max
  11. Just wondering if an extention from Chibadan to Phetchabun is in the offering before my demise?
  12. Coupled with MS Access, which is included and very powerful, it is worth paying the money for the real deal.
  13. I'm 83yo and renewed my licence online about 3 months ago but it appears to be for 3 years only
  14. Sorry mate. I misread. Senior's moment
  15. Get a fire extinguisher. Sorry for the glib response but the number of these bikes catching fire is astonishing
  16. I see many mentions of the bus being double decker but the photos show only one set of windows.
  17. He himself said he had been smoking weed. He didn't say he had been drinking!
  18. So if it is unauthorised, who put in the warning signals?
  19. I have both a fortuna legender an a yaris cross ( for the misses). Can't find a bad thing to say about either. Despite that some are derogatory against the fortuna they don't realise that it no longer uses the hilux train but has its own unique chassis. It also has all the latest features available giving the extra room for trips with family and friends. The cross is an incredible car but i have to sneak a drive. Misses very possessive. Would recommend either depending on your requirements.
  20. Thanks for the clarification. Yes we did get the Yaris Cross. The misses won't let me drive it. It truly is a beautiful vehicle. I didn't see the Corolla option when we got this but I know it available in Australia.
  21. Yes, if you are looking for something a bit smaller than the Everest, Fortuna, etc, Have a look at the Toyota Corolla (called Yaris here I believe) Cross HEV. My wife just bought one and it is superb, no kidding.
  22. I bought the top model Fortuna about 14 months ago. Beautiful car and, despite the comment above, very quiet. Nice to look at as well, a lot better look than the Ford and Pajero.
