Dream on, that 300THB insurance covers you for 30 days only. -
Thailand grapples with allowing more Chinese landowners

China is just copying the colonial West. But at least not with guns. -
Don't come to Karon. I live here. You can't afford the prices.

Guys, don't waste your time. OP is just trolling/getting attention.

If you have to count your baht, then Phuket is not the place for you to visit. Should done some research before coming. Better turn around before you have a heart attack from seeing the prices in Phuket.

Why start a thread that will lead to nowhere? "Massage 200 baht up ok" You didn't read that masseurs are protesting as competition are offering 150 baht for a massage? "Massamun curry 170 baht pricey, 30 baht small rice" There are many places offering the massamun curry at 120 baht, 20 baht small rice. There are also places where you can have massaman curry for more than 200 baht. "The mini bus from airport is a sham. Have to wait for 10 people. Easier to share a cab 800 baht patong". There is a scheduled aircon bus from the airport to go to Patong that does not have to wait for 10 people. If you have to take a bus, then sharing a cab is too expensive for you. Furthermore, you have to search for people to share a cab with. Must be a slow day.

Doesn’t the TAT want tourists here in Thailand?
Kopitiam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
For mass market tourism from China/India, 14 days is more than enough. -

Nothing to do with love. Those who whine and still continue to stay are the sad ones. -

For UK, it is democracy. And it is a joke. The people can't even vote for who they want for PM. UK are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for candidates to lead the country. Brexit was a economic suicide in the name of democracy. -

Are you serious about "real working democracies as in most EU countries"? Fragmented coalition government doing horse trading after each general election every other year when coalition parties disagree with each other. Spain, Italy, Germany, France, UK are good examples. If real democracy means having general election every couple of years before terms are up - no thank you. -
Taxi stand price at the airport going to Patong is 800THB.

Bangkok Bank Required for Retirement Extension

For the same document, I go to the bank once on the same day I apply for my retirement extension. No issue whatsoever with the Immigration Office. -
Bangkok Bank Required for Retirement Extension
Kopitiam replied to Joeb's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I wouldn't put money in a Bangkok Bank account for retirement extension when it takes a week to get a 12-month statement from the bank. Other banks can give you the 12-month bank account statement on the spot, for example, SCB, etc.- 63 replies

Hospital, Insurance, and Immigration problem.
Kopitiam replied to afm171's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Who would take out an insurance after the accident had happened? As a overstayer, he took out insurance from his home country so that he can get treatment first if he gets into an accident and deal with the "mess" later which is exactly what happened. Best option for him is to leave now and pay the 20,000THB overstay fine and face the ban for a couple of years. We don't need such people here to tarnish the image of law abiding expats living in Thailand. -

I have been using 3BB fibre optic internet broadband for the past 4 years. Very happy with their service and performance. I reckon they have the cheapest fibre optic internet broadband package: https://fiber.3bb.co.th/en/3bb-giga-fiber/
